Convenient location, insufficient parking spaces, bar service great, restaurant good. Television didnt work in spite of attempts made by bar staff. Just werent aware of the renovations under way.

Obviously this property is undergoing renovations. Consequently it is a busy environment with fantastic staff. Being a retired tradesman minor things like the wrong size toilet seat and bedside cupboard tops need sanding and finishing. Outside area also needs attention, decking boards lifting etc

The Staff were great. It was lovely to get a up grade. The room was a little tired but great view:-) The pool was so good. It was lovely & refreshing, not cold. The restaurant looked great but did not eat. We did have a drink & sat outside the pool area and looked at the view. The walk along the water to town was beautiful too. We got it for a good price $165 a night. Was totally worth it:-)

Great position, right next to Hastings River and Coolanbung Creek. We were unlucky this time with a view of the carpark but most rooms look out over the river or the creek. Rooms are "tired" but are gradually being renovated. We look forward to having a room with a river outlook that has been renovated next time. Restaurant and bar are great with excellent food and very competitive prices.

Hotel was being renovated, was supposed to finish at 2pm daily but noise above our room was going on until 9.40pm. Reported to front desk who said they would look into it, but noise continued until 4.30-5pm and then resumed with drilling at 8.30pm. NOT HAPPY. Hotel.com should have told me it was being renovated and the price should have been adjusted to reflect the noise..

This place is in a great location it really needs an update the tiles are coming off the pool, it has its original carpet, it’s very noisy early in the mornings as the cleaning staff have personal conversations in the hallway with no respect for sleeping guests.

The only let down was the buffet brekkie. Highly recommend in every other way. Unfortunately no lifts or ramps so would suit able bodied persons quite well - unsure of other options available for those with mobility disadvantages.

Hotel was a great little stop. Only negative was the internet was lacking but turns out there was lots to do outside! Nice pool, restaurant and location. Would stay here again. We stayed in a newly renovated room which was nice also.

We chose this property for an overnight stop traveling from Brisbane to Sydney and it looked good in the photos. I reality the room was very run down and basic. The bathroom was at least a decade overdue for renovation as it has had numerous repairs (broken soap holder in the shower had just been glued together, the made terrible noises adjusting the water, the hand basin tap fitting wobbled...). The bedside tables tops were worn out, lounge chair was worn out. Only very basic tea, coffee and a few biscuits. No toaster or even a saucer to put a bit of my own fruit on. I understand that they have a restaurant and wound prefer us to pay fro breakfast but I don't want a large large breakfast and just want to make a simple toast and my own favourite jam and the fruit I like, so just a plate and toaster is appreciated, I'm not going to cook. Incidentally, I don't need the wine glasses. In fairness the place was clean, the bed was comfortable and the reception staff was very pleasant to deal with, so the staff working here are doing their best. It's just obvious that this was once a premium motel that is now very tired and should be priced at a 3 star level.

Welcoming staff. Nicely renovated room. Unfortunately one of the clean towels in the bathroom had a blood stain on it and there was a large cockroach in the bathroom that came out at night. I can forgive the cockroach but the stain in the towel was a little hard to get past.

I have stayed in a few comfort inns before and this was by far the worst. No notice of accessibility on the website, didn’t know there were only stairs to access the second floor where our room was. The toilet didn’t flush properly and we got a view of the receptions roof (one of two rooms that had that view). I would have paid more for another view but there were none available. Also, the back sliding door only had the chain to lock it because the other lock was broken, and felt unsafe. The addition of a cockroach waking me up after crawling on my face just topped the experience.

Worst motel room we have ever stayed in for over 30 years. Never ever stay here again. Room outdated, dirty, noisy, falling apart, plumbing in bathroom noisy and unsafe when turning on hot water. Pillows and bedspread stained. Bedside table not wiped and had who knows what splattered all over it. Shower curtain stained. Tiles cracked and unsafe. Neighbours children able to knock on door adjoining room? Bed base and mattress old and uncomfortable.

Looks good from the outside but the rooms are old and extremely worn out. There was a big dumpster outside our room so it looks like they are doing renos. Hopefully the upgraded rooms will be better. Pillows are too hard/full. Would be nice if they provided one soft and one full for each occupant to choose from.

Very nice room with a wonderful view across the Clarence River. Our room was very well appointed and we loved having the coffee machine. The room was clean with a good sized bathroom and a great shower. Our bed was a king size and was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Yamba.

I paid for a canal room and the room was ok but the patio was next really close to the rooms next door and one of f my neighbours smoked non stop and I could smell it in my room. The soundproofing was poor and could hear people on either side talking/tv and the people above walking.

We had an unrenovated room on the top floor. The room was very dated with ripped towels provided. Coffee cups were not clean. Bed was comfortable but it felt like we were being given one of the worst rooms in the hotel.

Well, check-in was a joke. We watched as the women with the big hair gave people keys for thier room and left us seated there. It was almost 2 o'clock when a male staff member said are you waiting for a room. Magically the room was ready. Very disappointed with the customer service. It was quite obvious that she was making us wait till the last minute. Doors hanging off in the hallway. Will not be returning.

Great location near the water within walking distance of restaurants, walking path etc. Stopover on our way home from Christmas holidays. Restaurant/bar on site. Outdoor sitting areas with views. Only criticisms (small) are lack of Hot/cold tap coding in renovated bathroom and we had no tissues, otherwise all good for what we needed.

Room comfortable be it a little tired however renovations of the rooms are under way. Property overall could do with a makeover. Both nights I ate in the restaurant, food nice however chef came out to each table to check on the meal, nice touch.

Staff were great. The restaurant food was terrible, overcooked, dry and a mystery as it was supposed to be fish! Chef seems to have an attitude problem. Understand they are doing renovations for bathrooms but the shower was rubbish in the room.
