Beautiful property with fantastic pools. Beach area is just ok. Lots of good restaurants that are walkable. Easy 5 min ride to and from the airport. We would definitely stay again.

Nice champagne welcome drink. Beautiful property. Lovely ocean view from the room. Comfy beds and pillows. Great housekeeping. Nice and mild signature hotel scent. Friendly staff. Would have liked more varied breakfast, lunch and dinner options. The chaise lounges on the beach were very dirty and worn. The chaise lounges around the pool were not much better. It was unclear how to get an umbrella and lounge chair to relax on the beach. Perhaps several should have been set up early in the day. We had to get our own chaise lounges and there were no umbrellas around.

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish! Everyone who worked at the hotel was so kind. The waiters at the pool bar, the men at the entrance, the front desk and the housekeeping ladies! The room was clean! The beds were comfortable! The pool was well kept and the perfect temperature! The ocean was steps away and glorious! We would absolutely stay again!! Thank you to all the staff for making it a wonderful trip!

Don’t stay here until construction is finished! Construction noise all day, Friday night and weekend! Beach and pools are awesome but noise kills it! They moved us from 4th floor to 6th floor, did not help. You may be ok if room is away from construction site. Disappointed!

Iguanas at pool were cool and interesting. Not sure how I feel about the feces in the pool. Food at pool and room service was really good. Gym was great. Under construction on part of building, not too bad but noticeable.

The Westin Resort and Spa in Puerto Vallarta is under a modest renovation. New restaurants and shops under construction. The staff is aware and upgraded our reservation to another floor with full ocean view. Once the renovations are completed, the resort will be the best in the marina district. Private beach is small but very accessible. Marvin, working the poolside bar was very attentive and greeted us by name, each visit to the pool after our initial day. Guacamole making class and kayaking were awesome, but you had to inquire with multiple staff to get all the details. We will return. But, likely after all the renovations are complete.

First, the grounds were beautiful and the pool was so warm and fun to swim around in. It felt really tropical. As for the room, it was big and roomy but it was not clean. The floors hadn't been mopped and hadn't been dusted in a while. There was no shower curtain and there were several maintenance issues that needed fixing. Also, as of March 15, 2025 there were several restaurants inside the hotel were under construction. Maybe this place will be better within a month or two. We had just been staying at the Marriott down the street and we preferred that one because it felt more upscale.

El personal es extraordinario La habitación tenía varios temas 1. En el minibar habían restos de alimentos y refrescos a medio tomar 2. El agua en la mañana salía café 3. Me he quedado varias veces con mi familia en el hotel y en esta ocasión lo sentí muy sucio. Es entendible que está en construcción pero hay áreas que no tendrían porque estar sucias como los aparatos del gimnasio , los elevadores , el piso alrededor de la alberca. Creo que lo están descuidando y es una pena porque era muy buena opción.

We always stay at the Westin when we come to PV. We have been happy with the hotel but this time the cleanliness and overall service weren’t as good. The Westin was under construction and possibly this is the reason for the declining quality of service. We didn’t have any soap, body wash or shampoo in the room when we arrived, we also only had 2 towels, so we had to ask housekeeping for essentials. Next, when housekeeping refreshed the room, they didn’t replenish the towels or toilet paper, so again, we had to flag them down to get those items. We still had a great time though. The pool was fantastic and the food at the hotel, as well as at the Marina was great. We truly hope after the construction, the Westin is back to the high quality place it used to be.

Location, staff, and room was amazing! We had the high floor oven view w/ king bed and it was so comfy. Staff clean everyday and everyone was so helpful and nice! I felt extremely safe and security was a the gate before driving up. Overall a wonderful experience with easy beach access and in pool bar.

The Westin resort is super beautiful, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurants inside are super yummy. However it is not worth the money you pay. They don’t include free breakfast or dinner which is the minimum that a resort should offer. The housekeeper did not clean our room or replace the items needed. We had to request something as simple as toilet paper. There’s no AC in the lobby or hallways only in the bedroom. I would have to think twice about coming back to this resort. It’s also pretty far from the city.

My family and I stayed at the Westin for 6 nights at the begging of August. Our stay was amazing. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, the staff was nothing short of amazing. They exceeded our expectations. The resort itself is in need of some TLC. They are in the middle of renovations which explains a lot. However, the rooms were clean and comfortable during our stay. The food at the breakfast buffet was amazing!!! Some of the best food we’ve had at a resort. Our compliments to the chef! The location is great. Walking distance to the marina and an OXXO. We would definitely come back!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for seven nights. The room was excellent. We chose a high floor and had excellent view of the ocean and property. The room was very clean and had daily maid service. The pool area was great with excellent service of food and drinks. The only issue we had was with the lack of on site restaurants but there are many close by. We will return someday in our travels.

Our biggest beef was that we were placed on the sixth floor. This is not an ocean view which is what we paid for. It’s a partial ocean view at best. Requests for a higher floor were denied. Housekeeping was slow - on two days our room wasn’t cleaned by 4 pm. But overall we had a nice week here. We ate lunch on the property every day and the food and service were great. It wasn’t that bad for busyness considering it is spring break. We ate dinner off the property every night and there are many excellent restaurants in PV. But the 35 minute taxi/Uber ride downtown did get tiresome. It never used to bother us before. BTW Uber pricing is maddening. It can double in busy times. Maybe we’ll revisit Ixtapa next time

This property is amazing! First, its close to the airport, and there is a marina across the street which has several different food options and money exchange services. Close to most touristy places. The service was truly the best ive ever had in Mexico! The hotel was very nice and clean! I recommend 100% the staff was amazing! Very friendly!

We recently returned from a wonderful family vacation and couldn't be happier with our experience! The hotel provided a mostly quiet atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. There was some construction noise during the day, but it wasn't disruptive at all, and we're actually looking forward to seeing the updated hotel once the renovations are complete. What truly stood out during our stay was the super friendly and helpful staff. They were incredibly caring and attentive, which made a significant difference in our overall experience. My daughter had a little accident at the pool, and the lifeguard was quick to respond. They not only handled the situation expertly, but they also took the time to soothe my daughter and followed up with us the next morning to check if she was okay. Mr. Salazar, the hotel manager on duty, was exceptionally attentive as well. He ensured that everything was alright and even went the extra mile by sending some strawberries to our room to cheer up our daughter. Such thoughtful gestures truly made our stay memorable! Aside from one minor issue—the bathroom in our room could use a little updating—everything else was fantastic. The staff, the hotel, and the location were all top-notch. We felt extremely safe throughout our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great family getaway. All in all, it was an unforgettable trip filled with positive experiences!

I liked the staff and how polite and attentive they were. I didn’t like how the staff never bother to mention the iguanas in the property and I how they are in and out of the pool, although they were not aggressive, I feel that it should have been stated or at least given a heads up before the check in. I also did not like the many different charges for different amounts and at different times and when asked for an explanation, the answer was not clear, typical, “glitch in the system”. Would I stay there again, probably not because of the inconsistent and unclear charges. But the staff was amazing, so that’s a plus for this place.

Room was not ready when we got there 3:05, I was informed by reception staff that I had to wait an undetermined time until it was. However they told me that if I shelled $120 USD extra they'd give us the room right away (not a better room, just one that was ready). Not having my pre-paid room available should be their problem, not mine. After waiting over 30 minutes I returned to the counter and was assigned the room first offered for an extra $, free by a different reception person. This behaviour is not what you'd expect from a Westin Resort but from a cheap shady hotel. This "welcome" ruined my stay.

The dining options were quite limited since most of the restaurants were under construction. It wasn’t a big issue for me since I ate outside the resort most of the time. However, if you prefer to dine within the resort, this is something to keep in mind. Also, if you're planning to explore the Romantic Zone, be aware that it's about a 30-minute Uber ride each way. I had to take an Uber once or twice a day to get to the restaurants and back.

The Westin was a nice resort to stay. Rooms was clean . pool was nice. This is the only resort i will probably stay. The location is in walking distance for shopping and good food. If you stay there eat at the lighthouse in the marina 36 restaurant and bar.. can't wait to get back to pvr.

I thought that my stay at the Westin was a good value for the money. However, I believe that my stay would have been better if the renovations were not going on at the time. I liked the room, but wish there would have been a microwave. The view was beautiful from the balcony. The location was extremely close to the marina which was very convenient.

The service was excellent and staff was so helpful and kind, but the property is in desperate need of an update. I understand that work is being done to make that happen, but it’s years before it gets to what it’s claimed to be on the website. Nonetheless, we had a great time. Just don’t expect to show up at a 5 star hotel, because it is not that. And DO NOT forget to bring your mosquito repellent, unless you want to be eaten alive.

Nothing wrong with the property...beautiful facility. Food quality and service were amazing. Drinks were incredibly overpriced ($9 for a boxed water, cocktails too). Overall value was decent, but would likely stay elsewhere if i ever went to mexico again (prices in mexico have significantly increased)

Room was nice and clean. Resort was quiet. The only complaint is that it wasnt an all inclusive. I was told i wasnt the only person that had made that mistake. We were told it eventually will be an all inclusive. As of right now its very quiet and easy to get a chair at the pool. Beach was small but decent. Excellent location, close to the airport and very close to the marina where theres tons of food and shopping options. Although the confusion with the all inclusive was a shock, it ended up being a nice stay. Food at the pool was good, we didnt eat at any of the restaurants otherwise. One last note, theres definitely construction but we personally didnt find it all that disruptive.
