I moved to this hotel after three nights in Insadong where the street parties go till 2am. I was happy to be in a quieter and cleaner area, and the hotel is conveniently located to subway, airport limousine bus and many restaurants, ATM machines, coffee shops etc. I checked in around 6pm and was happy to find that the Deoksugung Palace down the street is open for visitors till 8pm so I got to walk the grounds in the evening, along with Seoul Plaza which was bustling. The early AM meeting place for my DMZ tour was also around the corner so that was convenient. Front reception staff was very nice and helpful and held my luggage after check out for the day while i was sightseeing. Great looking cafe in the lobby with amazing spread of pastries, and I saw a spirited world cup gathering when i was leaving. I didnt get to enjoy many of the amenities and lost my credit card somewhere in the neighborhood that evening LOL but overall location and comfort, cleanliness and price, this hotel checked all my solo traveler boxes! **My ONLY complaint was lack of electrical outlets to charge devices in the room, the only one in 'plain sight' was above the bathroom sink and it didnt work so i had to pull out the nightstand, unplug the lamp and alarm clock to charge up. Thats ridiculous in these times when devices are super critical for travel.

Great location, staff very helpful. The main issue we had was with the bathroom. There is a shower stall and a toilet stall in the bedroom, with frosted glass surrounding each stall. There is not a separate room with a door that can be closed. There is a curtain that can be pulled across the room to separate this bathroom area from the beds, but overall very little privacy. We often went downstairs to use the lobby bathroom instead, but it seems like they would close this overnight after around 10pm. Maybe ok if just travelling with immediate family, but we were also with a friend, so not ideal.
