Great family venue. Free kayaks and sail boat was great for some fun time! The pool was clean, lots of chairs and space. We had an afternoon drink at the bar near the pool. Love that the team have some daily activities for the kids. Buffet breakfast was great value and excellent variety. We will be back again definitely!

Too big for the insufficient staff to be able to provide any real care factor. The pool facilities are around 30% of the scale needed for the number of rooms. Young staff trying hard, but clearly untrained and overworked. The management business seems to know they will continue to (over)fill the rooms and don’t have to try or care about the experience once you’re there. Simple things like rooms have very limited facilities (e.g. no cups/glasses in the bathrooms / nowhere to hang dry towels in the bathrooms) yet Room Service meals are delivered on disposable paper plates with no cutlery??? Clearly the objective is to squeeze as much money as possible out of the punters with as little effort/or care as possible. I have visited this property a number of years ago and had a very enjoyable stay - it is such a shame to see how it is being managed and milked today. We won’t be back anytime soon.

Have lived in Brisbane and Sunny Coast for many years and never knew this place was here…. Such a shame because it’s stunning. Loved the pool, lake and rooms and will definitely be returning.

The pool tiles have a ring of grime around them and gives terrible appearance. Some of the tiles outside near the pool needed to be repaired. No day spa on site. Only one restaurant with a limited menu (get the sola burger it was the only good thing on there). The plus of this hotel is all the included activities, really great for keeping the kids entertained and the buffet breakfast, this was the highlight of our stay. Overall this place needs a bit of a clean and some general upkeep. The rooms were all quite sandy, looked like they hadn't had a good vacuum in months - everything needs a deep clean and some maintenance to bring it up to scratch.

Staff were fantastic but the state of the room was very poor - especially for what it cost! We had an unclean floor, including a dead spider, the walls had something dripped down on it and even when showed to the evening staff was never cleaned off. We had a trail of ants marching in along the floors and walls which we had bug sprayed…..plus we saw paint peeling from along wall on entry and all over the bathroom ceiling. I feel the whole site is showing its age….would be ok if you were expecting a campsite or hostel!

Hotel lobby, restaurant and pool area were beautiful, however as soon as you got past that the walkways were dirty, holes in ceilings, signage giving directions to rooms and laundries were faded or missing. Online map was inaccurate. Room was dated, however neat and tidy, but certainly not clean.

Our room was unclean. Marks in the spa bath despite there being a tag on it to state hygiene cleaned. Marks on the wall. The fridge was uncleaned. We mentioned it to reception and they advised a VIP clean would be done the next day. Returning back to our room on the second day I would not have called it a VIP clean. The toilet bowl which we were unable to clean due to no brush had not been cleaned and when I lifted the lid I found a lot of very old fasces on the underneath of seat and mold on the inside upper rim. Looked like it had not seen a brush in a while. Fridge still not cleaned. Marks still on the wall. We had two tvs and the remote control in the lounge kept turning the bedroom tv on and changing its channels. Housekeeping did not tidy up ie. fold up and put away blankets or straighten up couch. 2nd day cleaning did not get done till after 2pm and only once we called reception. Once again - kitchen bench not tidied up, blanket not put away and couch not straightened up. Add to that coffee and tea was not refreshed. Signage around the place I feel was not sufficient. Washing machines - website states washing machine takes $1 coins. Reception said 3 $1 coins for washing machine. Found the washing machine was 5 $2 coins. One machine was out of order with a sign. The other machine still half full of water. Add to this we were giving washing detergent from reception the was for front loaders and the machines were both top loaders. All in all a very disappointing stay.

Our room was very dated and not clean. There was hair left in the bath and on the sheets. The staff were not helpful and the lady working at the front desk for the breakfast buffet was incredibly rude to my family.

The venue itself was quite nice partly the foyer and pool areas and the staff we interacted with were friendly. Buffett breakfast was lovely. The reasons I gave a bad review is following reasons - our room had no hand soap we tried to call reception for some but the room phone didn’t work. I called reception on my mobile when we realised we had no soap it was 8pm, they said they would bring some to the room. We sat up waiting till 10pm before giving up and going to sleep, it was never delivered. - when I called about the hand soap I informed the lady the room was not clear. We had a gritty floor (had to brush the grit off our feet before getting into bed) and the bathroom was not clean with dirt around the silicone all around like it was never wiped, there was dirt and hair in the shower (I have a picture if you would like to see). I also told her about the phone that wasn’t working but that did not get fixed either. - I was disappointed with paying extra to get a ‘lagoon view’ to be only able to see the garden unless you went out onto the balcony. You could see a hint of water through tree branches and a screen if you stand in the corner of the room but I don’t think it should be advertised as water/lagoon view (again, I have a photo if you’re interested) - I wasn’t asked for feedback or how my stay was upon returning keys so I wasn’t able to give my feedback in person. Very disappointed as it was my partners 40th birthday and I saved hard to take him away.

My wife and I stayed for one night in a 1 queen bed garden view room @$355.00 per night. While we enjoyed the serenity of the resort, we discovered the bed sloped inwards towards the centre, this due to using two single mattresses and not a proper queen-size mattress. We could feel the join between the two mattresses. This made for an uncomfortable sleep and degraded the overall experience. It was not what we had expected from a Novotel Resort. Also, the teaspoon in the room had not been washed.

The floor in the room was dirty the moment we walked in. Rest of the room was fine, no complaints really. Most of the staff seemed to have an issue with being at work - except Austin in the restaurant. Nice guy!

House keeping didnot do the job properly. No floor was vaccum full of dust n hair. Room was very old condition so there were lots of insects flies n something like group of termites inside n out of door where entrance. However pool beach staff were wonderful. We had a lovely 3 days except room. not happy with that much money charged.

Room ok for overnight stay Room not very clean, mould in shower/bathroom. Very disappointing tv channel access. Could not even watch all free to air channels. The staff member that helped us was lovely and explained how embarrassing it was with the cost cuts with tv channels.

We have stayed before property is in need of some maintenance in the accommodation side of things. Our room was neat and tidy however our mattress had see better days. We have come across this in the past. They definitely get there money’s worth out of mattresses. Buffet breakfast was lovely however the restaurant itself could do with a revamp. We’ve been going there for 13years and not much has changed.

Where did it end. We ordered a baby cot on checking it it never arrived, tried to call reception 3 times and no one answered. The place was filthy our baby had black legs and feet from the dirt on the floor. There was blood on the toilet door. I went to the bar and tried to order a drink but could not room charge despite providing a credit card on check in. This happened 3 times and had to carry my phone in wet areas just to pay for a drink. The next morning rang 3 times no answer had to call the outside line from my mobile. Then tried to use the gym and my card wouldn’t work. I’ve been travelling around the world for over 30 years and have never seen a more poorly run resort. I paid $700 a night for the room and could not relax once.

Beautiful location. Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour and a half to check in, after being told multiple times our room would be ready in another 10 minutes. Restaurant ran out of key menu items. Felt understaffed but the staff that were there did their best.

All if it ! The room was ok but the bed was absolutely terrible.. the worst I’ve ever slept in ! It was hard and uneven , the pillows were very uncomfortable. It was muggy and hot ! The air conditioner wouldn’t work so couldn’t sleep! The check-in was really disappointing, our room wasn’t ready upon arrival , there was no politeness to it , staff couldn’t t care less as they were rushed off their feet! It took for me to go and enquire 45 minutes later for them to say sorry. No compensation offered. You also had to lug your suitcases up 2 flights of stairs! The food at the sola restaurant was terrible . I would never stay there again !

The staff were friendly but not invested in sorting out issues of which there was many. The room was not cleaned properly and was freezing cold because the air-conditioning was stuck on cooling. A call to reception was not passed on, so 90 min later had to walk to reception to get anything actioned. Cleaning lady and maintenance man were lovely but air con only worked until turned off then went back to cooling only when turned back on. TV in bedroom kept turning off after 1 minute. Serves of food in restaurant too small for the cost involved. Place is overdue for renovations.

I found it quite difficult to get in touch with reception before and during my stay. The staff seemed a little unsure of processes, as though they were all new or still in training. I was staying for a work function and had a short 40-minute break between sessions after traveling since 4 am, so I’d hoped to rest briefly. Unfortunately, a staff member knocked on my door to ask if my air-conditioning was working, which interrupted my quick nap.

There is a development taking place next to the Hotel. Noisy & car park full of Trade vehicles. Dimly lit paths around apartments. Small bridge that is dangerous and in disrepair, tripped on this at night. Hotel Team were lovely, courteous and friendly. Rooms are nice but nothing special. Would not recommend another stay here.

Room was not ready at check in. We had a wedding to go to, and the responses from those at the desk was blank faces and oh sorry. Overheard numerous other people having the same issue. No alternative room offered until we asked. Dining and drink options didn’t open until 2.00 pm after breakfast, other than a small deli kiosk with terrible options. Had to pay for a coffee at breakfast Buffett that we already paid for. No Ubers around and not walkable to main areas, other than a beach (but nothing around and you have to walk on a highway). Visually the hotel looks nice, but you should go with a car.

Quiet and relaxing, plenty to do with kayaking, sailing and pool. Short walk to an unspoilt beach to watch the sunrise. Great dinning options with buffet breakfast, restaurant & takeaway and cafe onsite. Food served in generous portions and a fabulous bar overlooking the pool.

Pretty good stay in general food quality was poor, Ordered a burger, patty was burned on outside/slightly raw on the inside, I don't mind the slightly raw bit, but the the charcoal taste on the outside tells me either frozen patties or dirty grill. Ordered a bone special, that was a mistake, I ordered medium rare, the steak was to thin to cook anything other them well done, full of sinue I had to eat it with my hand, as a knife couldn't go through it. I was pretty hungry though, so eating with my hands was the way to go.

Overall it was a lovely stay. However, the food was very disappointing, cheap and inedible, but charged at expensive prices. Outside of this we’d be happy to visit again. Seemed like a very family friendly resort.

We were extremely disappointed with the buffet dinner which we paid $65/adult and $35/child. The selection of the food is poor. They dont have anything for kids except ice cream and lollies. The restaurant is dark and dirty. Staff are overworked but always provided asdistance with a smile. The A La Carte menu is ok but the butter chicken curry is overpriced with a ridiculously small portion. We didnt get what we paid for.

Water activity was good, but found the restaurant male staff to be arrogant when questioned on service. To pool area was to open at 7am but was still being cleaned and serviced till much later. The spar was still not working at 9:30 am. They had the same menu for lunch and dinner, and it was overpriced and boring.

All in all we expected more given the price point. There was no soap and in the room so our first shower was a waste of time, sorry Novotel but this shouldn’t be something that was overlooked, also the restaurant was very non informative when we waited over an hour for our meals. We asked for the meals to be checked on but were never responded to. Other than that the breakfast was excellent and the staff at breakfast very helpful. I would probably not return there given it was not value for money. In paying more than average you expect more.

Great property and lots for kids to do. We went to Sola restaurant for dinner and found it over priced for the quality and quantity of the food. I ordered the Moreton Bay Bugs Salad and was lucky if I had two it was all lettuce. Husband had the steak which was very chewy.
