For me the location is the selling point for this property. It is very convenient for transport, shops, food outlets and everything is walkable,e except when it is raining. The only thing I didn’t like is there is nowhere to park especially for drop in and drop off of visitors for the hotel.

Nicely located only minutes from the Darling Quarter. Right on the back of Chinatown and near Market City make it a nicely located place to stay. Parking, while advertised onsite, is not. It's a 5 minute walk up the street. It's probably shorter to walk than to drive to the hotel, from parking. This is because of all the one way streets. The parking station is dirty, smells of sewage, and the escalators don't work. If you're parking and leaving your car (like we did), it isn't a big deal. If you're going in and out, considering another hotel. Also, parking is validated to 2pm and not a minute later. We had to push the buzzer to be let out at the gate because we were a few minutes late after having to wait 10 minutes for a bathroom key back at the hotel. While the staff were friendly, some struggled with English making communication a bit challenging. If you wanted your room cleaned, you had to ask. Just leaving the sign on the door didn't get it done. Breakfast is 30 bucks extra if you want it, we opted out. There's a McD's across the street and some nice bakeries over the pedestrian walkway in the Darling quarter. Would stay there again, but wouldn't be my first choice as other options were priced similarly.

I liked the staff, always friendly and polite; I was disappointed with absence of dumbbell weights in the gym, also fitness equipment was not working properly (leg machine). The breakfast was disorganised, 1 coffee machine out of 2 was out of service 4 days in a row; the counters with the food were poorly accessible. And scrambbled eggs were just a joke - always an overcooked mess. For 4 star hotel the service and amenities were really bad and over all stay was overpriced. I would tell I had a 3 star experience in your hotel, and, unfortunatelly, not IHG level at all. Wish you to improve your place!

You first walk into a lobby that is overpowering with a cheap unpleasant smell. The staff at check in were kind and comprehensive with detail The room was a good size for a 2 bedroom hotel for the kids. So much rubbish under the beds and couch which of course 2 and 4 year old boys find. That makes it rather unpleasant. The buffet breakfast had great options for everyone and wait times werent too long Overall a good place but areas to improve.

Room size was good. In terms of the location, close to the Darling harbor, was also good. But one thing I would want to point out is "housekeeping". When I visited, my family found socks of previous person, and stain on the refrigerator, on top of that, also found non-freezing liquid in the ice frame(seems like not water) and a little bit of garbage, hairs on matrix.

Very convenient location, however the hoses keeping was not doing a good job. We stayed for 4 nights with a baby. The first day they didn't sweep the bathroom floor and didn't leave any new towels, also the toilet papers went out and didn't replace it. I have to call for a new toilet paper. The 2nd day, they put some big towel back but 1 was dirty. They didn't leave any small towels at all.

The two of us stayed for 4 nights. Perfect location, 5 minute walking distance to Darling Harbour and the Chinatown light rail stop. Our room was comfortable, with a newly renovated bathroom. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Carpet needed a stronger vacuum and there was a stray pair of socks at the edge of bed from previous guests indicating the floors were not thoroughly cleaned. The foyer had an unusual smell, was clean but seemed as though some sort of deodoriser was trying to mask some other smell. We didn't eat at the restuarant so I can't comment on the quality of the food. Overall, we had a great stay and would come again.

The location is fantastic. Short walk to darling Harbour, the light rail, metro and trains. Chinatown is right around the corner, so the food selection is fantastic. The hotel itself is fairly dated, we booked the premium family room. It was clean enough, however the bathroom is in fire need of a renovation or a thorough clean. i.e. the grount was black/grey when it was originally white. Mould around the shower edges, I felt I needed to wear thongs (flip-flops) when showering. There was a stain on the carpet upon arrival which was wet.and the shower head was mostly blocked. Thankfully they replaced the showerhead for us. The USB wall chargers did not work, so ensure to you bring your own USB chargers. We also found it confusing that the hotel offers a kitchenette but no plates, cutlery, microwave. Literally just a bench top and sink. If a renovation is on the cards this would be a wonderful hotel to stay at.

Linen and towels were very clean, however general cleanliness was below par. Glasses were grubby and no detergent or tea towels to wash and dry them. Toilet was clean, but bathroom tiles vanity etc had mould. Breakfast was ok, but very small area and not functional. Staff were very good

Location was great, but the rooms on the 9th floor where I was staying has an outer area that presumably maintenance staff need to access but privacy as a result was a major issue. The curtains don’t fully close letting in a lot of light and also made most of the room visible to the personnel walking round the exterior of the building. Room wasn’t clean and I found long black hairs on towels and bedding.

For our first time coming to Sydney for a holiday, we had a great time. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable, the area was very nice and accessible to everything. Our hotel felt like it was our home away from home. Would definitely come back if we pass through Sydney again.

Our Furama Darling Harbour stay was perfect for us .. spacious room , quietness , easy flow of the room cleanliness and the hotel in all was lovely , staff so pleasant and helpful .. the position of hotel was convenient to trains , and Darling Harbour itself .. top stay !! Will go back again !!

Fantastic location so close to many attractions and round-the-clock food options. Comfortable bed and nice to receive a room upgrade. However, the TV kept resetting and the bright hotel's welcome screen would appear randomly even after we turned the TV off and this disrupted our sleep every night, several times a night. The air conditioning is also very loud.

Hotel manager on checking was very dismissive and rude, on check in when I told him about our last stay and how unsatisfactory it was , on our lsst stay we stayed in a suite, the suite was below standard of your current standard rooms, the manager did not care about my complaint when somebody was meant to contact me after our last visit I don't think I will stay at this hotel ever again

We really enjoyed our stay at Furama. It was in such a great location in Haymarket (Chinatown) with so many restaurant options. The staff were attentive and very helpful. Parking option down the road. Clean room and very comfortable beds. Tram around the corner and walking distance to Darling Harbour. Will definitely return.

Excellent After being refused check in at the APX World Square after 11pm at night returning from interstate because I didn’t have a physical copy of my credit card, the staff at Holiday Inn were compassionate , empathetic and understanding. Will definitely stay there again. Outstanding service.

Breakfast room kaotic, poorly designed, too small. Food area needs to flow in one direction as ppl pushing thru dangerously when hot beverages being carried. Put tea coffee and the hot water urn in another zone. Would not eat there again based on this mornings experience.

The first room we got was on the first floor and was terribly run down. Moldy grout in the shower, bathroom fawcett barely worked. There was some kind of metal grate above the stairs that made a noise every time stepped on it. Breakfast buffet was marginal at best with no variety.

Room was refurbished and clean Housekeeping was poor, missed out on our firdt day as they wanted to clean at 4.00pm and we were using room. Breakfast was fine, nothing special, space is small and was particularly noisy 1 morning with multiple families in a tour group making an absolute racket whilst not really eating and moving on but just hanging around making a nuisance and taking up seating.
