Great location and accomodating staff. Parking is over $100 a night and parking staff are a little slow so use the Wilson parking or use public transportation. Tram stop is close by aa well as the dock for ferries and cruises.

Pool area very disappointing. Unkempt, and no swimming for people who don’t have excellent mobility: only a ladder to enter. Womens sauna not working. Plus nasty UHT milk portions. A hotel at these prices should provide fresh milk: it’s not that hard! Long waits for check-in, check-out and to extend stay. Not good enough for what you pay.

We loved staying at this Marriott. The entire front desk staff was professional and helpful; the "early arrival" room on the 6th floor where you can relax until your room is ready was a godsend; and the location near Circular Quay was perfect for our stay.

Check-in was lengthy and the staff member made several errors telling us breakfast wasn’t included but we’d paid for club lounge access. The quality of food wasn’t great for breakfast or the evening canapés. Breakfast for the general population in the lobby included omelettes made to order and pancakes etc, but this wasn’t available to us at the club lounge. We paid a lot extra, so we thought we would have some inclusions. The room was quite nice and clean but the bathroom needed a renovation.

Excellent stay. Rooms were clean. We were on the club access floor and the view was fantastic as was the lounge. Great buffet and evening appies. Really the appies are allost a full dinner. Complimentary wine, beer, and liquor. Staff were friendly and customer aervice exceptional

Hair left behind in the shower and food stains on the table didn't give a good first impression. they did come and clean it after I called but it took 40 minutes including a supervisor's visit who seemed to make sure I wasn't lying. The pool is small and not really nice, the bed was not properly tucked in and our feet touched the underlay. Best thing by far was the breakfast buffet which was amazing and catered to all needs and more. All and all though, I wouldn't go back.

Good location and clean hotel, but not quite the standard the Marriott used to be. Check-in was okay, staff friendly enough but the welcome was fairly average. The room was clean and tidy, though the view wasn’t what we expected, and being right next to the lifts made it noisy at busy times. We also asked for room servicing that never happened and had to request fresh towels a couple of times. Breakfast was excellent — great service, plenty of choice, and fresh omelettes made by the chef. Breakfast hours were longer than most hotels, which was a big plus. Overall: good location, safe and clean, great breakfast, but service not as strong as it used to be.

Great hotel overall. Comfy, clean bed and the buffet breakfast was excellent. Drink on arrival was a nice touch. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent location for exploring Sydney. 2 min walk to circular quay railway station and ferry service, shops and restaurants / cafes. The only complaint was that the bathroom was quite small & dated and the grout in the shower looked grotty. Also we were given a room with a view of a crane outside the window which flashed a light constantly. However we weren't in the hotel long enough for this to be a real issue. Overall would stay again for the great location, comfy bed and breakfast!

The halls and carpets need to be replaced, it smelled musky on the room floors. The service was superb. Breakfast was a beautiful variety, wish it was warmer when I put it on my plate but the 2nd time, I dished out the bottom to get the warmer food. I didn’t have to drive anywhere since the Harbour ferry, light rail, train was 1 block away. Food was close by, it was the best location to everything I wanted to see. A place for to visit again for sure. I love that they have a lounge for early travelers and late leaving. It’s humid there so I appreciate I get to freshen up before and after my flight.

Very small room, paid for a city view but ended up just seeing the back view of same hotel and construction and the staff were not friendly. Very disappointed as soon as we entered the stay by looking at the cleanliness, room size and restroom. Raised our concern to the hotel staff but they didn’t clean to care about customer experience. For the amount we paid entire family had a terrible experience and would never stay there again.

Our room looked onto a construction site and there were workers on the hotel 2 levels below outside the window. We should be warned of this and offered another room. Bathroom run down and neglected. Good location otherwise.

Fantastic location. I had an opera house room for 12 days which obviously comes with a beautiful view. Reason for 4 stars not five? Hotel rooms are beginning to look and feel tired and dated (while remaining spotlessly clean). Is also a bit ‘carnage’ around reception and the lift area when the big groups arrive (believe many related to the cruise ships) - however the staff really do their best to manage this.

Overall, our stay at the Marriott in Sydney was excellent. The location is fantastic — very walkable, with plenty of nearby transportation options and attractions. The property itself was clean and comfortable, though the rooms and hotel could use a bit of updating. The food was excellent, with a great variety and high quality at every meal. We also appreciated the Nespresso coffee maker in the room — a nice touch. The staff were generally good and helpful, but communication could have been better. After I had a fall just outside the hotel (not on their property), the handling and follow-up were not well coordinated. Notes about our room and situation weren’t clearly passed along between staff, and we often had to repeat the same information to different people. It seemed their main concern was clarifying that the fall didn’t happen on their property rather than ensuring smooth communication afterward. Despite that, we enjoyed our stay overall. It’s a great hotel in an ideal location, with excellent food and comfortable accommodations — just a few improvements in staff communication and room updates would make it outstanding.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were superb. As we were early, they took our luggage whilst we registered our arrival. Our room was ready some 3 hrs early and we wer given immediate access. The checkin line was long but ran very efficiently. All staff were very kind and considerate. All told it was one of the best hotel check-ins I’ve ever had! The buffet breakfast was extensive and quite popular. Coffee took a bit long to arrive.

I was happy with the overall service until I received a notification under my door at 5:00 a.m. regarding issues with charges to my account. I then had to go through the entire process of proving that all payments had already been settled in order to resolve the matter.

Location was excellent for easy walking access to Circular Quay. Check in process as smooth. Room was good, slightly tired in parts and we would have expected a few more toiletry items supplied like toothpaste, etc but all in all a great stay and we would stay here again.

Great location. About 2 minutes away on foot to the Metro station. 5 minutes walk to Circular quay. Plenty of dining options and depending on where your room is, you can have a great view of the Harbour Bridge.

We only stayed one night but check in and out was smooth and staff exceptional. Beds were soft like sleeping on a cloud and rooms were large and clean. The hotel is right on Pitt street and only a Short walk the train station, cruise terminal, the rocks, opera house, restaurants and anything else we could have needed, Exceptional!

This hotel was located near the transportation hub, which made getting around Sydney and to/from the airport easy. I never had to walk far for anything. The breakfast was great, both the buffet and the in-room dining. The staff saved me a few dollars by allowing me to borrow an umbrella. This was my first stay, and it set a high bar.

We have stayed at this hotel many times before and it always lives up to expectations. However we could not believe how the service in Sylvester's restaurant has gone downhill. So very disappointing.
