We visited on a very busy weekend and the place was packed. When we went for a swim in the pool it was filthy. You could feel the grit and grime on the bottom of the pool and there were literal clumps of hair on the sides of the pool. No towels in the pool area, had to ask for them from reception. Minor inconvenience but just seems like an odd practice when the pool area requires room key access. The bathroom had hair on the seat and shower walls, and was extremely tired and worn. The main room was nice enough. My kids’ overall vibe of the older building was that we were staying in an old gaol.

Stayed here several times and it's always great. Excellent location with only a short walk to Darling Harbour. The facilities are great with lap pool, spa, gym and sauna too. It's an old building, but well maintained and always clean & comfortable.

Room nothing like pictures hotel also nothing like pictures parking is definitely not free they get you here when you park your car but when you need to leave it then cost $50 also I wouldn’t rate this as a 4 star maybe a 2 balconies look out to a dirty stinky alley side street no point even having them

Great location but a GOOD cafe with breakfast would be worthwhile. Short walk to the waterfront but this information is not readily obvious. The manager cheerfully moved us twice until we found a working airconditioner in really hot weather. Well equipped, very useful catering options and terrific pool.

Our room overall was lovely, but needed maintenance. When we ch packed u band went to our room the card scanner wouldn’t Erin so we waited 30 mins for someone to fix it and let us in. The bathroom their tiles had splits in the grout and the link in the kitchen was lifted, we also found rubbish in the curtains on the floor when we pulled them across. Otherwise, the general area was lovely and good walking distance to our destination.

Overall below average hotel. Horrible housekeepers. Constantly need to remind the front desk to renew our toilet paper. The housekeeping did not at all vacuum our room during our stay even when we requested it. The only thing that housekeeping did was change our towels and trash. The hotel rate was Abit over priced for the quality of room we stayed in. Carpet was very old and outdated. Pros, very large space that is good for big families. Good location.

The girl at the front desk needs a pay rise she’s exceptional The interior felt a bit like a jail or mental asylum, and or both. The windows opening and being accessible to the neighbours is concerning since the window wouldn’t lock which raised security concerns but after moving to a new room I was comfortable. The paint job was terrible on the interior wall but that didn’t impact my stay. The beds were the highlight! Would recommend and stay again! Thank you

Cool reuse of an old building, great as a base for a 4 night stay. Convenient to ICC and light rail (once you work out how to get to it). Had a great view of the city lights from the living toom. Bed was comfy and kitchen handy. But the bathroom was quite terrible. Featuring a shower over a bath with a big step over the lip of the bath. It felt really quite dangerous! The shower nozzle is mid chest height and the water pressure was really woeful. Probably the worst bathroom that I have ever encountered in otherwise fine hotel. Don't even think about it if your mobility is a bit limited. Remove the bath altogether and make a decent shower alcove.

Hotel is in a great location. Even from level 13 though noise was an issue. City noise like inebriated people on Darling Harbour are a given but why there was a rooster crowing at 2am, then 3am then 5.30am both nights of our stay?? Knew it wasn’t a good sign when we checked in and found they have ear plugs in the bedside table drawers for guests.

Good location and price. 5min walk to light rail stop and Darling Hrabour. Decent, well equiped kitchen. Good size pool. Can be a bit noisy at the end near the freeway from traffic. Try to get a room towards Sydney harbour end. Unusal design inside and old wool store with a big atrium. Happy with stay

The staff are friendly and the hotel and room in general were nice. A few good amenities in each room. It's an interesting building and layout. Our bedroom was next to the room entrance, which means you could hear all the movement on the wooden floors. Unfortunately I had booked a specific room, for a special trip with my daughter which we did not get. I was never told of the change until I asked after seeing the room, then they could not accommodate my request. It was disappointing that there was no communication about this. It does not make for a great customer experience.

Check in was a very disorganised process. We arrived at after the 2pm check in. The staff at the desk appeared very flustered. We were given our room key, and carried our luggage to our room only to find housekeeping still cleaning the room (an hour after check in opened). We then went into the room to find one bed, despite booking 2 twin beds. Reception then had difficulty with managing the issues and we spent over an hour trying to rectify before finally being given a room with twin beds, yet still needing to wait for housekeeping to make the beds up. It was after 4pm before our room was ready for us properly.

The team at the Oaks were amazing. I happened to check in on my actual birthday and they noticed. The next day I returned back to my room and a bottle of red wine, chocolates and a card written from the reception was waiting for me. This was totally unexpected, but one of the nicest touches from a hotel I’ve ever experienced. 11/10 rating from me!

The hotel has good facilities - indoor pool and gym. The building was interesting, being an old woolshed. Location was hard to get to without instructions. I walked from the city and found it really hard to figure out all the ramps around Darling Harbour.

I have stayed at the Oaks Goldsborough several times and it a great place to stay. The rooms are big and well equipped. Beds are comfortable. Its conveniently located with trams and darling harbour just a few minutes walk. Parking right next door.

This is my goto place to stay in Sydney. Great little cafe downstairs for brekky, IGA around the corner and Darling Harbour a 5-10 minute walk. Very clean, staff friendly and bed/pillows are amazing.

Very close to the L tram/train in Sydney and close as well to a hop on/hop off stop. Also nice location near Darling Harbour and facilities at the hotel were great! (Especially the Sauna). Reception was easy and they were very helpful in providing extra towels, different bed configurations and else. There is a small grocery store nearby (IGA) but also have vending machines in the facilities to get some drinks or snacks later at night. Overall very happy with the experience/stay.

Reception and the room were good. We were able to park on the road opposite the entrance until early the next morning, which worked for us as I had to return the rental then anyway. Getting from the hotel to our conference on the other side of the Harbour was quite complicated initially but simple once we had done it. There are a couple of convenience stores in Murray Street, 5 minutes away and on the way to and from Pyrmont Bridge and the Harbour.
