Was great to stay due to being pet friendly hotel. Staff were very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, except the pressure of the shower was a bit lame. Amazing location with green spaces under the bridge cross the road to let the dog out. Dinner was a bit slow but other than that, we’ve enjoyed our stay and will stay again. Thank you.

The whole experience was great. Breakfast service, check-in, check-out and room cleanliness and the whole crew were very helpful . The choices at breakfast did not change much but it was enjoyable, clean and quiet. The gym was good.

We received the most amazing service!!! We used Valet parking and my car battery went flat over night, the staff went above and beyond to help me get my car started so I didn’t have to use road side assist. Very thankful for the wonderful service.

nice to take our dog with us for a night. expensive extra given our dog is little and doesn't drop hair, but nice neverthe less. Top position in Sydney for walking your dog too.

A real gem in Marriott’s Autograph collection. Pier One is a well appointed and relaxed hotel with friendly helpful staff and an idyllic Harbourside setting. Having a few drinks and dining dock side was delightful and we loved the way furry friends are made welcome too.

Very friendly, great room, bar and dining. Arrived early and was wonderful to use a gym shower and room to change! Checked our bags and started our day. Pier Bar was a perfect spot to relax and Pier Dining was a fantastic meal. Great location to wander, see the Harbour and grab a beer and bite to eat in the Rock area.

We were hoping for a one of a kind experience. We certainly got one. When we arrived front of house staff were fantastic. When we got to our room, there was and empty cocktail glass at our door. 2 housekeeping staff in the hallway- the glass stayed there the whole time. Woke up to make a delicious coffe to have in bed, out coffee cups were dirty. Had been placed top down unwashed. I approached front of house staff who were mortified. Guest experience manager took it upon himself to get us coffees which was lovely. Some of the toiletries were pre used, it makes you a bit uneasy this day and age, in the pay per use amenities area of the room I looked at the drink bottle that was for sale, it had water in the bottom of it, been used, the hat had makeup in the rim, been used too. Items should be checked each departure. Room attendants need more training. So it was an experience, not the breathtaking one it should have been though. Front of house staff saved the trip. Well done to them.

The property is pretty rundown and could use some maintenance. Many of the plugs and all of the USB ports in our room did not work. There were stains on furniture and linens, dirty windows, burnt out lightbulbs. The room rattled and shook loudly as people walked by in the hallway, making it difficult to sleep. In spite of the condition of the space, the staff was five star and went above and beyond to help us with our luggage, transportation needs, and recommendations. The views were stunning and the area central to most tourist activities.

Overpriced. The rooms had water views facing away from major lamdmarks. The biggest disappointment was how mouldy the shower grout was. I wasn't expecting to see this level of disrepair in a 4 star hotel. There was dark spots on the grout around the bottom tiles and mould discolouration of tiles all the way up to shoulder height.

It was a very BIG disappointment , having booked a room with a balcony, to discover that the so called ‘balcony’ was 35 cm !!!!! Wide!! It was not even possible to turn around there . I would dare to say that the general opinion of a balcony would be that at least that a chair would fit onto it . Will definitely not stay there anymore. Cheers Lone

Very nice location with big rooms. Only complaint is we asked for a room with a view (for extra money) expecting a view of the harbor bridge and got a room facing the other direction. Very close to the Rocks area, that is the fun area of Sidney

The room with a ‘view’ was not of the bridge, was a bit disappointed but beyond looking at the building across from us could see some of the water when at an angle (room 241). They definitely have an issue with the water draining properly in the shower and can see damage on the wall related to this. The room its self was not quiet at all, could hear banging, foot steps etc a lot of the night! Bed was ok comfort as well as the pillows. The extra costs for room service are disappointing ($10 for ‘tray cost’) and food/drinks had extra charges all weekend. The buffet breakfast was a stand out!! Definitely order your eggs first up and have fruit or something as the eggs take approx 5 minutes and coffees longer! But well worth the wait and enjoy the views!

This was a nice hotel, but too many of the room’s features fell short of both the hype and cost. My biggest grievance is that the walkway space between the bathroom and the mini bar was just slightly more than the width of my shoe (photo attached). Meaning that as my parter and I had to be extremely careful every time we went to the bathroom and of course a few times (both in day and night) we stubbed our toes. Perhaps we didn’t need such a large minibar stocked with food and branded merchandise we could take (for a few) and instead could’ve had more than a 12 centimeter walkway. Additionally, the sheets were absolutely terrible! I’d rate them as just slightly softer than sandpaper. Sleeping on them was like an abrasive exfoliating cleanse! It felt like everything in the room was done 100% for fashion, 0% for function. For instance, a few sets of light switches were hidden behind hanging bathrobes and towels. We’d paid more for a room with a bridge view, and technically we did have that, it was just mostly of the bridge’s concrete base as seen from floor 1. So not that compelling. This was our last stay after 20 some nights traveling Australia, it was the most expensive place, and to be honest, the least compelling, but in a great location. And the concierge took his job VERY seriously, and the room was clean, so that counts for something.

The sofa bed was a total disaster. Was not fit to sleep on. The so called mattress was a 1/2 inch if springs and a bit of foam. When called to see about getting a mattress was told what we had was all they had. Was bought extra duvet. Had to take sofa cushions and make a decent sleeping space. Unacceptable for the price we paid.

The accommodation was brilliant and the staff were exceptional. They were hardworking and sought to ensure our stay was both comfortable and relaxed. Our only disappointment was the restaurant. Although it was reasonably priced, the food wasn’t really enjoyable. Next time we stay we will eat somewhere else

This is an absolute gem of a place to stay in Sydney. The location is so beautiful and quiet. A short walk to Circular Quay. Hotel staff are really lovely and helpful. We stay here often when having a ‘staycation’ in our beautiful city. Highly recommend this hotel.

The location is absolutely perfect - walk to the rocks, circular quay & Sydney Opera House in 5 mins. The hotel virtually under the bridge which is incredible. so close to restaurants and cafes and an easy walk - no hills. Service was excellent - all staff were extremely helpful and friendly . Could not fault Pier One at all. FIVE STARS!

Good location and had a great view of Sydney Harbour. The staff were excellent, efficient, friendly and good service. Hotel is in easy walking distance to circular quay where all forms of transportation are available. The restaurant was lovely and breakfast was tasty with a good selection. We had a wonderful stay.

Location close to iconic harbor bridge and Opera house. Walking distance to the circular cay to get a light rail, ferry, bus or other transportation. Near cruise terminal. The breakfast buffet was extremely good. The bath products were exceptional. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The views from the outside lounges was lovely at sunset. The blankets were cosy and fluffy perfect for Winter. The breakfast is OUTSTANDING - definitely worth the price of the room just for the breakfast. The bed was spacious and comfortable.

We spent a long weekend for the Vivid Light Festival. Location is amazing in walking distance to many of the highlights or close to the station for light rail or trains. We were a bit disappointed by our room but the staff were very helpful and allocated us another room which we really enjoyed. The breakfast is delicious with many choices and staff are very friendly and efficient. We will come back.

We have stayed at this hotel regularly for the past six years, but unfortunately this year’s experience was probably the worst, particularly when it came to breakfast. The bacon and other hot items were consistently only lukewarm and the overall quality of the hot food was poor. This was disappointing given how reliable it has been in previous years.
