Sydney is nice and warm. The area around The Langham is very nice, not as busy as I thought which was very pleasant. Close to the water and not far to CBD. easy walk to Opera house and the Concierge team was wonderful, friendly and professional giving very good suggestions of bars, restaurants and other things to do. The pool and jacuzzi is amazing. The Gym is my favourite. The Chuan Spa is amazing. The GM and all managers were very friendly. Bravo to the Team. Will only stay here next time I come back to Sydney

I have stayed at this hotel many times. however this occasion was not good. From the minute we checked in for our 8 day stay right until our checkout we were constantly disappointed in the service. Valet parking was $88 per night. Breakfat, which was the worst i hav ever had in Sydney was $100. Nothing was included. On a positive note, our room was very comfortable and clean. However, we will definately not be returning to this hotel and would not recommend it unless there is major improvement in service.

My husband and I were there for 4 nights celebrating his retirement.The city view room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. We both enjoyed a passage at Chuan Spa the day we flew in which was luxurious and relaxing. The hotel pool was bigger than expected and very relaxing to swim in. We loved the residential feel of the neighbourhood with easy walking distance to the waterfront and CBD. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What a wonderful hotel, charming in every way and a true delight to enjoy. Every aspect of our stay was top notch, from the warm welcome to immaculate room to superb breakfast… we cannot recommend this delightful property highly enough. Centrally located on an easily accessible but quiet street, the spa and leisure facilities are pristine, amenities plentiful and oh my goodness what a bed!!! Thank you Langham for a magical stay. Will gladly recommend and stay again should we ever return to Australia.

My room was incorrectly made up with children’s clothes, tents and colouring in equipment. The room was full of dust and I had to leave in the middle of the night to get a Claratyne tablet. The staff member in the restaurant at dinner was rude when I requested to take a cake to my room ( told me they can’t be responsible if it goes off and I get sick) and made me leave it. Overall a terrible experience not withstanding the hotel is very tired in the non common areas of the hotel like my room.

Like the boutique hotel with luxury kind of vibe and near the Rocks and Barangaroo area. The only concern is that the bathroom has no fan and the corridor smells bad sometimes.

Perfect location in a tree lined, quiet street fronting Victorian brownstones. Within a 10 minute walk to The Rocks and further on to the Sydney Opera House. The room was very well appointed and very clean. However I had to change rooms because there was a whirring, obtrusive noise in the air conditioning unit. The next room had a faulty telephone system. All in all ate up 3 hours of the afternoon waiting for engineering and reception to sort it out. The yoga mat and the aroma diffuser were a wonderful perk. Lovely and luxurious lobby but music was a bit too loud.

Every hotel personnel were most accommodating from pre-stay to our departure. We could not have asked for better service. Attention to detail is obvious in every aspect of service delivery. We had a Deluxe Harbour room, which was spacious, aesthetically pleasing to the eye, comfortable sofa and single tub style seats for observing the view. Coffee machine is always a hit for us. Large well appointed bathroom with separate shower and bath tub. Room service is done with the same flourish as every other aspect of service. The downside was the hot breakfast was cool by the time it reached our room, nonetheless the quality of food was compensatory. My husband slept well but over the two nights I slept little due to my hips aching from the mattress not meeting my particular needs. We also had difficulty getting the room to a comfortable temperature, had we asked staff we probably would have had the situation resolved. Thank you to all involved with our stay. We highly recommend your service and facilities.

We chose to stay here as we didn’t want to be in a high rise hotel and chose a room with a harbour view terrace so we could sit out after a day out. The room was a lovely size and the bed was so amazingly comfortable. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location was absolutely fantastic, within walking distance of all major attractions, Darling Harbour and Barangaroo with lots of lovely places to eat and drink.

our TV was not working which was one if the reasons i was getting away for two nights. Have a lazy day in bed watching a movie. This was reported to the front desk staff many times. No one seemed to care. Ruined my stay. Housekeeping was amazing, but i would not stay there again.

Service was fantastic. They cleaned the room and then coming in the evening for the turn down and tiding again. Our room was comfortable and we slept well. I loved the location, in a small neighborhood just on the edge of the Rocks and very close to everything but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of downtown. Go to the Observatory Hill just above it to see great views and sunset.

Most of the regular employees were professional, except one or two. Some of them communicated my request well, but didn't follow up. One of the Chinese employees working on the night shift (around 01-02) at the door was staring at me without saying 'Hi' when I walked in and headed to the elevator, as if a guard were watching an unexpected visitor. I felt it was weird, uncomfortable, and rude. The biggest problem was the housekeeping team. I called housekeeping and came back from the swimming pool 2.5 hours later, but it still wasn't done. And they didn't inform me of the possible ETA until I asked them, which is unusual for me. Later, I asked them how long it usually takes. They said it would take 2-3 hrs. The next day, I called them and went out. When I came back 3 hrs later, I found that making up the room hadn't even started, so I gave up and got into the room. Then, 40 min later, they knocked on the door and asked if I still wanted my room cleaned up. I refused as I was tired. I guess they are contractors, not employees of your hotel. Their service was neither responsive nor professional, and, most of all, unpredictable and disrespectful. I felt your hotel lacked experienced mid-level managers on-site. So it felt irregular in your service. I've never experienced it before for the last 3 decades. However, I liked the location and hardware. And on the last morning, I met a happy-looking man in a suit who carried our bags and processed the checkout professionally.

I’ve stayed at The Langham in London and expected the same standards here. Sadly it disappointed. The hotel itself is lovely, but the service and attention to detail (with a coupe of exceptions in the bar) was underwhelming and, at times, absent. I had billing errors, poor understanding of my very clear English requests, errors with room service, a very poor breakfast service in the restaurant, an inability to get the ‘legendary’ afternoon tea - apparently there is only one sitting and it has to be prebooked (which no one told me until I turned up at 3pm today to find no afternoon tea service), and there was no crème de cassis for the kir royale I ordered. Genuinely underwhelming, disappointing and I am unlikely to return. Sydney has other hotels that are more on point these days. A great shame. A very underwhelming experience

Lovely place to stay and relax away from the main city hustle. The hotel was clean and the facilities were charming. I was a bit annoyed the checkin agent tried to sign me up for marketing and the loyalty program without expressed consent. I read what I was signing and pointed out that I did not want marketing and loyalty program sign up, which had already been ticked for me. This was then changed thankfully. Not ideal

The customer service skills of Marieclaire Ranasinghe, the Guest relations Manager, was absolutely amazing. A beautiful young professional lady, genuinely interested in the well being of all the guests at the hotel. A home away from home ! We will certainly stay in Sydney again even though the Langham is Melbourne has always been our favourite in the past 10 years. We are ready for a change !

The staff and facilities at the Langham earned every bit of this review. Everyone was great, we were treated like vip's, and everything about this hotel was just elegant. Room amenities were amazing, and swimming pool/hot tub were one of the best I've experienced. I have found my preferred hotel in Sydney. Thank you for a great stay!

We had an amazing stay in Sydney at the Langham. Huge room, AMAZING staff, comfy beds, beautifully appointed, all the extras! The breakfast buffet was the best I’ve had. Very walkable to circular quay but the hill up to the property after a big day was a bit tiring. Small price to pay and Loved this property! Can’t say enough about it!

Beds are very comfortable --- housekeeping service is exceptional. Bell service was also excellent. And breakfast buffet is very nice! Main drawbacks of the property are the limited dining and location. Their restaurant is only open for breakfast, so in-room dining is the only other option (which was just average). The hotel is also located on a very quiet street with minimal businesses/shops. You have to walk at least 10 minutes to find a good restaurant, which oftentimes means walking uphill or stairs, based on the hotel location. Not ideal if you're looking for an easy place to eat at night.

This is a world-class hotel with world-class service. I was even provided with a bookmark for my bedside book before I even noticed that I needed one! It is a shame that there is not an evening restaurant at the moment, but the breakfast offering was superb.
