It is an older motel but Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and serviced daily. Wi-Fi worked well, breakfast is available and dinner also weeknights, which was very nice. Easy parking with a convenient location.

I had a lovely stay with a friend. The only sad part was the restaurant was closed on Sunday. On a previous stay I had enjoyed the restaurant very much. They have a diverse menu to choose from, the service was good and we could have a couple of glasses of wine because we weren't driving. Very relaxing, good location and free parking.

As far as a place to stay it’s fine. Big room, good tv, aircon that works, plenty of parking etc. The only downside is that it is very old and in need of a major refurb. It’s on a busy road make sure you ask for a back room, they are much quieter. Staff are pleasant not overly friendly, except my cleaner was very nice. If you need a microwave make sure you request it when you book otherwise room doesn’t have one. It’s about a 5-10 minute drive to food, good coffee or shopping!

The room was comfortable and not too small. Dining was available onsite, although not at all times. The staff were helpful and polite. The one glitch was that at one time it took a long time to get attention at reception because the one staff member on duty was overworked.

The Ryde Inn is a modest hotel stay with appropriate rates to support this. While some areas, such as cleanliness and courtesy were high, other areas were sub par. On check in, there was an issue with the previous guest's booking. This was not an problem in itself, the disappointing thing was there was at least three other staff present that could not assist us &others waiting. Eventually one of these others came and asked if she could help, clearly embarrassed at our lack of attention and wanting to assist but with limited ability to do so. It is important if staff are going to be behind the front desk, they need to be able to assist. Only one person trained to do so makes check-in a poor experience. The Ryde Inn shows its age. There are several holes in the carpet near the top of one of the staircases, (the railings of which are loose!) creating a dangerous trip hazard &needs to be attended to immediately. Our bathroom sink had mismatched taps, the cold tap leaking from the base when on.(I didn't try the shower). The bed blanket was badly sewn &showing its age. The pool looked dirty & uninviting, The outside garden areas looked unkempt. Restaurant food was generous, hot &good value. The bar, though had only 2 white wines, excluding the house, one of which they didn't have. If you have a limited selection, make sure you have plenty of it. Again the staff were courteous & well meaning but some money needs to be outlaid in training, safety features, fittings & in the bar.

The property has a stuffy smell. The breakfast was awful. There was a light that seemed to be on a sensor that sporadically lit up my room at night and the curtains didn’t cover the whole of the window so I was woken up by it.

The property is very run down. Carpets are thread bare. Our swipe key would not work when we got home from our concert at midnight so we were locked out of our room until we could find a phone number to call for help. Our room overlooked the car park. Brick retaining walls were falling over. Bed was comfortable. One towel was good, the other was thread bare.

We were there for three days. Great location, easy access plenty of free parking, friendly staff, great value breakfast to buy basic tasty. However, the only thing that I chilled out was the mattresses on the bed. They were very uncomfortable which was really disappointing especially when you’re travelling. For me, a comfortable mattress and a good night sleep is what is most in a hotel.

While this hotel is a little dated the service makes up for any shortcomings. The restaurant has the most delicious food, cooked and prepared to perfection. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Sydney. PS (some teaspoons in the rooms for making tea and coffee would be a good idea).

Room service dinner arrived without cutlery , some of the lights did not work . I prepaid breakfast and was invited at check-in to come to breakfast the next morning . I entered the buffet breakfast area made coffee and a plate of breakfast , a staff member then in a loud voice so others could hear ….. ‘ you can’t just walk in here and help yourself to breakfast without pre booking and paying … I explained I had paid , she continued in a loud voice ‘what room are you in ‘I have my room number , she replied ‘ no you have not paid , finish your breakfast and I’ll speak to your after … I was humiliated ! I went back to my room and produced my booking document which proved my payment . No apology was offered ! Very humiliating !!

My stayed was not good. Around 2:30 am power in my room went out, i suffer from sleep apnea and have to use a machine to help me breath during night time. I tried to call several time to reception but no luck at all. After an hour finally power came back. After that i couldnt sleep as i had to wake up at 5:30 to go to work so couldnt speak to anyone at 6 am when i left the premises Also the toilets had bad smell like they used a dirty mop and the bad smell stayed there.

Great motor inn located close to shops, the olympic park and also the main roads which makes it easy to navigate and travel to destinations. It was clean, tidy and the staff were welcoming and more than happy to help with certain requests like getting a taxi Overall, i will definately be staying again next time im heading to sydney.
