Great hotel The “view”. Room 205 has a tree blocking one of the most iconic views in the world. Buffet breakfast was on, the food temp needs to be a lot warmer, fried potatoes need to be crispy not soggy. Bar service was fine even though only one barman in attendance. Bar closed early. Disappointed to be honest. Logistically, tube service, buses and taxis are excellent. On the whole friendly staff, spotlessly clean, food needs an uplift, will however stay here again.

I arrived after a 4.5-hour drive from Canberra and was disappointed right from check-in. No one mentioned that I needed to swipe my room key at the top of the driveway to access the car park. I only found out when I drove down and the gate was closed, leaving me to carefully reverse back up in the dark. Clear signage or a simple heads-up at check-in would have saved a lot of stress. Our first night didn’t get much better—when I went to wash my hair, the conditioner bottle was completely empty. For the price we paid for two nights, these basic oversights were surprising. On the positive side, the location is great, but overall the experience didn’t live up to the cost.

Rooms are old but the views were really good!. Air conditioning could be lowered to what you want which is great for awful summer days. Staff were friendly and there were options for dining and room service. Parking was very limited and there are no guarantee you will get one. Location is very close to public transport which was great.

何といってもホテルの名前通り部屋からの眺望が素敵でした！シドニーを感じさせる景色で海外に来た実感が湧きます。部屋も清潔でスタッフの皆さんフレンドリーで優しかったです。またすぐ近くに駅がありかつ主要観光地が集まっているCBDへも近いのでアクセスは抜群でした。気になった点としては、電車の音が上の階でも結構聞こえてくるのと排水の速度が遅く水が溜まりがちです。あとはベビーカーや車椅子の方は若干細く急なスロープを使う必要があるので大変かもです。。階段もありますが段数が少なくはなかったです。総合的に見て大満足な宿泊でした、おすすめです！

Our room was on the 10th floor with a ‘city view’ that wasn’t very impressive as it looked right at the train tracks and only saw a tiny corner of the harbour from the corner. It was also insanely loud from the trains throughout the entire day and night which made our sleeps a complete nightmare. Would NOT RECOMMEND staying here if you value your sleeps at all. The stairs and slope leading up to/down from the hotel are also very treacherous in the rain. They are both steep and can get quite slippery.

This hotel is in a great location and for the price, it’s great value. Upon checkin, the staff were exceptional and it was a fun experience. The 2 free drinks really were a plus in my opinion. This hotel is very lucky to have the 2 staff members that checked me in. However, what lets this hotel down in my opinion was; 1. the train line next to the property. I stayed in a Harbour Bridge view room on level 1 and the room shook and rattled from every passing train. 2. The car parking situation. Arrived at 6pm to the car park full sign. While you do have access to the parking station around the corner, I found this a bit inconvenient. And 3. The restaurant. I was advised this would be closing on a Saturday night at 845pm. No room service option available. Uber eats to the rescue for those staying here. All in all this hotel is still a solid experience. 7/10 but would be lower if not for the exceptional staff.

I was initially given a room facing the train tracks, but the noise was too loud. I requested a quieter room and was informed of a slight price difference, which I paid. I was moved to a higher floor with a lovely view on the other side of the hotel. It was quieter, but I could still hear the train running and its squeaky brakes. The hotel should consider installing soundproof windows. The bed and pillows were comfortable, but cleanliness was average. A glass I took to drink from was sticky and covered in dust, and the bathroom cleanliness was basic. Additionally, I could hear my neighbors talking, their TV, and doors shutting, which affected my sleep. The view was stunning, but as a light sleeper, I would only consider revisiting if the noise issue is improved.

A little noisy from the train. Carpet in entire facility was dirty and needing replaced. It was old, dirty and minimally needed to be rest retched, as it had bumps in it that were trip hazards. Rest of facility was clean.

Stayed two nights, rooms are not the cleanest, the carpets need a really good vacuum. Views to Harbour great. Restaurant Staff are great and very obliging. Food is fresh and very tasty. Rooms are noisy and sleep quality was not great.

The view from our room on the 5th floor, was spectacular! This is why I booked this hotel. Unfortunately and fortunately, the hotel sits over a train line. The rumbling sound from the trains are heard every 15mins, even from the 11th floor. It didn't bother me too much, but it did disturb my husband's sleep. Fortunately, it was a quick 2min walk from the hotel to the train station. The bathroom is VERY compact. The king sized bed is very comfortable. The reception desk staff were extremely welcoming, professional and very helpful with directions. We arrived from the airport and headed to the bar for a quick drink. I asked for a lemon, lime and bitters, but was given something creamy orange in colour, extremely sour, but extremely sweet at the same time. I tried, but I couldn't drink it. My husband gave it a crack, but was stopped in his tracks 😄 The hotel is a lovely walk to/from Luna Park where we caught the ferry back from Circular Quay. Would we stay again...possibly. For me, the view was worth it 👌

The hotel was great and the view was outstanding. Every single staff member was wonderful and attentive. My only minor complaints were that the room was a little small, and the train runs under the building and can get loud at night. I would recommend ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper.

An outstanding location for easy access to the trains & ferries. Awesome view from the room of the Harbour Bridge. Excellent customer service & all very clean. Bed comfortable & good size room, but bathroom exceptionally compact. Unfortunately though as we are light sleepers we were very disturbed by the trains passing right beneath the building!

Room was clean and staff polite. We booked a harbourview room but unfortunately our room was on the 2nd floor. Unbeknown to us the railway line runs directly under the hotel. The noise and vibration of trains was not good.....kept is awake. The view of harbour though was fabulous. Make sure you book a room I'd say no lower than 5th floor

Although we booked a view of the Harbour Bridge, this hotel is located above the rail yard which was a noise issue all night long. The windows s/b triple pane to dampen the noise. On top of that the walls and doors lack insulation and allow excessive noise from the other rooms and hallways.

I really try to avoid bad reviews but this was terrible stay. I advised i would be arriving after midnight and told reception 24/7. Drove 10 hrs arrived at 4am. Reception closed. Waited 35 mins with kids asleep in car. told me he closed reservation as assumed i wasnt coming. Staff member then wrote my credit card details on a piece of paper and he said was for safe keeping in case. Got to room exhausted. Went to sleep. 7-8am someone proceeded to bang on our door very loud and then opened our door and entered our room. Thank goodness we had pet approved room and my dog scared them off. Went back to sleep very uneasy making sure kids were furtherest from the door. Then phone rang 3 times between 9:30-10am. So woken up again after getting to sleep at 6am. Woke up and attempted to go to lunch and could not ;eave car park. Ended up getting an uber. Came back and went up to our room and key cards now didnt work, went back downstairs. Reception advised there was a mix up and they gave someone my room key so cancelled all (thats how somoene accessed my room). To apologise gave me 2 free drinks to the bar for putting our safety at risk while travelling with underage people. Obviously went unused. Went upstairs and dint want to leave our belongings in room so stayed in. Attempted to leave and again key cards didnt work for parking. Had to use another key card from the return key box to be able to exit. Upon getting home they have continued to charge my card $10-$15 multple charges.

The View of Sydney Harbour was spectacular! The Hotel Service was a little off. We ordered a taxi one night at the concierge desk for the next morning but the concierge didn’t order it for us. We still got a taxi on time for our flight out, but we wouldn’t have wanted to be running on time with no taxi ordered for us as requested.

I had very bad encounters with the front desk night shift manager. The hotel has a policy that when guests want to use the gym, they need to come to the front desk to get the gym key. I was given a nonactivated key the first time. So I went back to get an activated one. The night shift manager was the one who gave me the new key which worked only for one time or one day. I questioned why there was such a policy since there was a webcam in the gym for the hotel to monitor the number of people using it. The night shift manager said to me it was there and I quoted "to prevent your guys to k each others". I was taken aback but said nothing. The next day I went to the front desk again to get a new key. The other front desk lady told me she could activate the key for 4 days usage & she did. After 4 days I went back to front desk to get a new gym key for the rest of my stay which was 3 more days. The same night shift manager came out to help since the trainee could not activate it. I jokingly said he could do better since I got a pass for 4 days before and he got mad. He said it was insulting. I immediately said I am sorry and said it was a joke. He then basically threw the key to my hand & walked away. The key dropped on the lower side of the counter which I could not reach. The trainee looked stunned. He picked up the gym key & handed to me. He did all these in front of the trainee. He was hostile to me more than once & blamed me.

The hotel is less than a block from the train station and key bus stops. The view from our 13th floor room of the bridge and Lavendar Bay was gorgeous,. We liked that the windows could be opened although it let in a little noise from the trains. Within 3 blocks are Coles, IGA and ALDI, as well as a quiet street of cafes and restaurants. Also an indoor mall across the street. The room had good storage for our bags and gear, nice linens and comfortable bed. The carpets in the lobby are very worn. Our room had no USB ports which surprised us.

We had a three night stay at View Sydney and were most impressed with the outstanding view of the Sydney Harbour. The room was nice and clean and the breakfasts were excellent. There was easy access to the harbour by water taxi or train, all of which were close to the hotel.

Very much enjoyed our stay. Views of the harbour are outstanding. We were on the 13th floor so train noise didn’t bother us. Breakfast buffet has lots of choice. The special choice of 2 or 3 course dinner for hotel guests was superb so we did it 2x. They do the same one 2 days in a row, then change it, so be careful of that. They give you a glass of sparkling wine with it. Very nice staff. Highly recommend this hotel. Forgot to mention to go to Central Station and buy a train pass. We asked what to get and they suggested $35 purchase. We used it a lot, including a return trip to Manly on the ferry from Central Quay.

Quite pricey for such an old property, especially with a view of the train tracks. We could hear the trains passing, and the room shook with each one, which even woke us up in the morning. We requested an upgrade (that we paid for), but the so-called “view” was still disappointing. Dinner service was very slow, and the morning coffee from the machine fell far short of what you’d expect at this price point.

We were on floor 7 over the railway line and the train noise was very obvious. I had this booking as a reward night don’t know if that had anything to do with the position of our room. Breakfast was very average.

I was thoroughly impressed by the view, the room, the cocktail lounge, the bar, and the substantial breakfast. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Notably, I was able to check in early due to the early arrival of my flight. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Maria and Carol, who were exceptionally helpful and deserve recognition for their outstanding service.
