We were allowed to check in early which was great because we were so tired. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Central Station and Haymarket. Breakfast was wonderful.

First stay at the Vulcan Hotel and it was very nice! The room matched the pictures in the previews. The place was clean and service was as expected for a professional hotel - seamless, easy and friendly. We stayed in the superior queen bedroom and the ensuite was adequate - clean. It was small and a little challenging for larger guests, but comfortable. Tv was limited to free tv and only some channels - Netflix and others available if you’re willing to sign in for yourself. Only complaints were hearing traffic through closed windows. A bit of a constant dull buzzing from the city life. Bed was clean and nice, however very soft which is not to our liking (either rolling in or out from each other and feeling every movement). Overall, close to dining and shopping if willing to walk about 10 mins. Parking was reasonably easy at the UTS underground park, a 7 minute walk. Very nice hotel and would absolutely stay there again happily.

We were pleasantly surprised that our stay included breakfast in the hotel's cafe (cereal, eggs, bacon, beans, toast, coffee, juice etc). The staff were very happy and really helpful giving us information about the parts of the city we were heading to. We only stayed the one night and were able to park in the paid parking on the street in front of the hotel. That was really convenient. We enjoyed our stay, the hotel is really clean. We'd recommend it and would go again.

A cosy boutique hotel in an excellent, quiet neighborhood within walking distance to Darling Harbour. The counter staff was helpful and friendly, and the inclusion of a daily Continental breakfast is a bonus. And check out the unassuming chinese restaurant next door. The food is excellent!

The staff "forgot" to make up my room one day. The elevator was not working 2 days. the WiFi was not working one day. The breakfast was frugal - no eggs, the coffe was instant (good coffee costs extra)

Amazing one-night stay! Free breakfast in the morning, and incredibly helpful staff at the reception desk. Parking was simple once it was explained to us- cheap parking a 2-min walk away, or free weekend parking on the same street. Only downside is I was able to hear the plumbing of the next room over, but it was able to be drowned out with the TV.

The Vulcan Hotel has an excellent location, which is a definite advantage. However, in my experience, it doesn’t quite live up to its four-star rating. While I’m not entirely familiar with the criteria for such ratings, as a frequent traveler, I find this hotel falls short compared to other four-star properties I’ve stayed at. Although the staff were friendly and helpful, the room I stayed in had several issues, including a musty smell, poor ventilation, and an overall damp feeling.

We stayed two different rooms They are very clean and unique. If you require making up room don’t forget to use door hanger marker. Breakfast was mini open buffet but essential foods are over there except eggs! WiFi air conditioner works good

I feel fortunate to have found this hotel on my first trip to Australia. First of all, it is important for everyone that the hotel be in a safe neighborhood. It would be no exaggeration to call this a boutique hotel located between a quiet residential area and downtown, rather than a high-rise hotel towering in the middle of the skyscraper. That does not mean it is inconvenient. Instead, the atmosphere is rather easy to stay in, with access to large parks, the harbor, and downtown within a few minutes' walk. The hotel itself is quiet. You can't hear the people in the next room talking or the sounds of daily life at all. The rooms are clean. The microwave oven in the room was one of the nice points for me. This hotel does not have the luxury of a high-end hotel in the city center, but the friendliness and smiles of the reception staff will make you forget what it even means to stay in a famous hotel. I spent a refreshing few days here.

L'hôtel n'est pas ce que l'on pourrait appeler de toute jeunesse mais ça fait son charme. La chambre n'est pas très grande et il n'y a pas vraiment de rangement. (pas facile quand on reste plusieurs jours). Par contre le personnel est très sympathique et serviable. Le petit déjeuner est plus que correct. L'établissement est bien situé, nous nous sommes déplacés pratiquement tout le temps à pied.

The staff makes this place the best!! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They really go out of their way to make your stay great! Clean rooms, I love the stained glass on the windows and the modern yet vintage style of the building! Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful accomodation to stay at in Sydney, a friend and I flew in for a training course for the weekend and were welcomed with a huge smile from Lupita at reception. The lovely atmosphere of the hotel, where the staff were very accommodating and full of local information, nothing was a bother to them. Thanks so much, we enjoyed our stay. It's been a few years since I have been to the Vulcan Hotel, but I'm glad to see that it is still at a very high standard. The reception staff were very efficient and friendly and the room was comfortable and very clean. The whole hotel had the feel of being well looked after. It's a very short walk up to Broadway with lots of buses to the city, and an easy walk to wonderful Glebe Point Road. The rooms were very quiet. All in all, an exceptional stay.

We were there through the Anzac weekend. At every hotel I keep a reasonable tip and request the room to cleaned and beds made. The excuses and the stories were noteworthy. The breakfast was very poor and even no bread because it was a holiday. I really had pity for the staff who have to work with owners like this. Convenient location if you know sydney

Gorgeous simple room in a beautiful renovated building. Escritoire clean, comfortable bed, block out blinds, hot shower, nice bar fridge and toiletries. Staff were exceptional - so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely - cereal, pastries, cold cuts sitting by the fireplace. Cocktails were available during happy hour in the evening.
