Stayed here for two nights to meet friends who stopped by Victoria on a cruise. This hotel is less than 10min away from Swartz Bay ferry terminal which is convenient. Room is clean, spacious, equipped with microwave and fridge. Staff are very helpful and friendly. We arrived quite late and the front door was locked after certain hour, the staff came out to open the door for us. Breakfast is included and it is mostly self-service. During our stay, we could order waffle from the staff to be made in the kitchen. Though the breakfast area is not large, the attended staff keeps it very clean. She is also very efficient so that tables could be turn around quickly. They have good selection of baked items, eggs, sausages, yogurt, etc. The area is generally quiet and seems to be safe. Parking is free and brightly lit. Overall this is a very enjoyable stay and we will definitely stay again.

This hotel was wonderful they include breakfast and parking. They also have in the main entrance fruit, cookies. Juice and coffee. The staff are so nice can’t do enough for you. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed our one night stay at Best Western Plus Emerald Isle. It was close to the Butchart Gardens & other places we were visiting and our room was better than expected. Beds were comfortable, and the continental breakfast was perfect. Although we didn't make use of them, we discivered the hotel has complementary bikes & helmets for adults to use. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit to lovely Sidney.

I had a standard King bed room at full price ($330) and was put in a room right by the elevator. At 6:30am staff started emptying trash cans by the elevator making a horrible racket. It wouldn’t have been so bad had the person in the room above me hadn’t been pacing the floor starting at 4:30am. I heard both footsteps and floor creaking for a good hour. Checkin was fine and the receptionist was courteous and helpful. I did the pre check but it still took 10-15 minutes to check in. My room was dark because shrubbery outside blocked daylight. The woman who managed breakfast service was delightful. Breakfast was fine. There are much nicer places to stay in Sidney at that price range.

They lock the entry doors at 5:00. I was left outside in a dark parking area trying to get someone to unlock the doors so I could check in. I have never been to a hotel that locks their entry doors that early so there must be a security issue in their area. I felt very unsafe.

All of the hotel staff were great, they let me check in super early (8 am as opposed to 4 pm) at no extra charge and everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was nice and very clean. I'll definitely stay here again.

The Location is perfect so you can walk to lots of nice Restaurants. I like the Ladies shopping with all the Boutiques. Like the lobby of the Hotel where you can have free coffee, lattes, etc, cookies and juice etc. out all day. The breakfast was also very good. I especially liked the little Ukrainian gal who was looking after the breakfast area. She was so friendly. We have come once a year in August for 3 years now and there is nothing I don't like. Tks. We rented a room for a one-night stay before our early morning flight. Unfortunately, the breakfast didn't start until 630, and we needed to leave the hotel before this. Not a big deal, as we were told this when we checked-in, but it would have been nice to have it be available a bit earlier. Additionally, our room was on the floor level, the door to the room did not seal properly and light came through the door frame. The ice machine was also directly outside our room, which normally wouldn't be a problem, but since the door didn't shut properly, we could hear everything right outside our room, including the ice being made all night. We got maybe 2 hours of sleep before our flight. The A/C unit in the room was also quite noisy and continually turned on / off throughout the night. There were a few other small issues that the staff were very helpful with, but I don't think we will be back.

The breakast was served in a seperate building. So be prepared to get wet when it rains. Very inconvenient. For the price point you would think the general manager would have the brains to not force paying guests to walk out of the building just to have breakfast. Horrible set up.

on going down to breakfast only tobe told we been busy this morning which is why there was no cold fruit juice or some hot breakfast items missing, I walked into breakfast room at 8:50 am , breakfast was untill 9.30am, other guests came to room after me to betold same somewhat dissapointing

Always clean comfortable rooms with high quality bathroom fixtures and lighting. Exceptional breakfast with hot and cold choices, fresh fruit, and nondairy options. Karen is just super! Cookies, drinks, and fruit in the lobby too! We always enjoy our stays at BW Emerald Isle. Nicolay is always welcoming and helpful, so glad to see him at the front desk. He deserves a raise!!
