Stay was great. Coating inside the pool is peeling and could be redone.

Great location, very interesting hotel, wonderful restaurant, and good food. I'm giving 100 stars for the saltwater pool—amazing! It's one of the best I've used in North America. The water is so warm, making it perfect for cold Toronto nights. However, the room was not as clean as expected for a five-star hotel. There were dust clumps in the closet, and overall, it didn't have a 'clean' smell. The bathroom could definitely use an update, with an old sink, a cracked countertop, and cracked flooring.However, The shower is good, with strong water pressure.

Staff are excellent. The hotel is a small gem. It has a lovely intimacy about it. The rooms are very high quality. The only downside is that if you are looking for a top-flight gym/spa facility, this isn't the place to go. It's a place to go for a quiet romantic stay in the city. Also, the TV package sucks. Does it really cost that much to bring in SportsNet and a higher quality cable service?

The Windsor Arms Hotel is tucked into a quiet street in the center of the shopping district making it a serene hub for anything we wanted to do in Toronto. We could have happily spent a day just enjoying the hotel itself: Gatsby's restaurant, the spa, High Tea. Service was friendly, speedy and efficient. The room was spacious and comfy. It is like a hotel from decades ago when style and comfort mattered.

Beautiful property offering high tea and spa facilities. Also included was a turn down service and plate of cookies before bedtime. Minor negatives were some signs of wear and no personal iquor permitted in rooms.

Gym is mediocre, to say the least

The dining room/bar is brilliant, full of stunning private nooks and small rooms in plush green leather, tapestry and velvet wing chairs and booth seats, each room beautifully decorated with period ink drawings and splashy modern paintings of royalty, a library of antique books, and cushy bar areas for a drink. A cosy spot to relax after a day in town.

A lovely boutique hotel in Yorkville! Service was fantastic, our room was clean and spacious, the free bubbly and cookies, as well as really nice selection of free tea and coffee in the room was a nice touch. The decor is a bit dated, I’m not sure it’s giving luxury the way it maybe used to. But the spa is fantastic - highly recommend! Altogether a nice stay in Toronto!

Such a beautiful place to stay. Our room was clean and lovely. I loved the harp in our room and the complimentary champagne. The pool and sauna were gorgeous and empty when we went, which was amazing! Highly recommend.

Very run down in some areas - carpets full of stains, gross bathroom that needs work (clean cocking, paint etc) Room service very slow - outrageous prices. Promised a themed tea party and it not done - again the price was crazy for what we got. People nice that worked there, especially in the breakfast room.

I love the location and the large rooms. The decor is old style Hollywood..which is cool. Sad that it isn’t maintained- it has such amazing potential.

This hotel is well located and quiet. However, it is not a five star property by any definition. The interiors are tired but worse, my room was dirty. Skirting boards and corners had not been wiped down and had hair stuck on them. The bathroom floor was stained as was the shower. Better to stay less expensive but clean.

Sent a request for early checkin in 5 days in advance. Never answered. When I arrived early, my room was not ready. When “ready” I used the toilet, and noted long dark hair on the toilet seat, and the seat would not stay up. I have short white hair.

This is such a beautiful hotel! I had the best French toast for breakfast that I have ever had. The room is clean and so spacious and luxurious. Highly recommend. 10 out of 10!

Hotel is in dire need of a refresh. First room I stayed in was nothing less than seedy and generally run down. However, the front desk staff moved me to a lovely one bedroom suite that was, at least, in descent shape. Staff were all excellent and can’t be faulted for anything - they are the bright spot in a hotel that is definitely showing its age.

Like: Large suites, quiet, professional and helpful staff Room for improvement: Tired decor/outdated, shower head too high, bathroom too small (no need for huge tub) and not modern, no free water provided in room and no tea available in room.

Great location - but hotel needs updating. Climate control system does not work in the room and you can't decide your own comfort level. No compensation was offered for this.

I like the old clubby feel of this place. It’s kind of dated and that suits me just fine, super comfortable and private.

For the most part I loved the hotel. However, it was very hard to regulate the temperature in my room

Large comfortable suites

Last minute booking, but it did not disappoint. I would travel to Toronto to just stay here....wonderful property and very beautiful. We had a suite that was beyond spacious for the two of us. Ate at all the restaurants around the area and everything was good. Traffic getting into Toronto was really rough, but this was a nice way to end after a day of travel.

At the Windsor Arms Hotel one might expect Agatha Christie to step out of one of the rooms! This hotel is right out of a page from the Great Gatsby for sure! Our 4th floor junior suite was comfy cozy,clean and very quiet. We didn’t hear a peep from the very loud gathering held in the ballroom on 1 st floor when we returned to our room from a fantastic Lebanese restaurant recommended to us by one of the very friendly and knowledgeable front desk people. Breakfast in the breakfast room was good with great service . Concierge and valet people all very attentive. We were last at this fine old hotel in 1989!It was lovely to see that although it has been renovated not much has changed in its character and that is a good thing!

Lovely hotel but a bit old school and stuffy. Really great staff. Lovely room. Fantastic location if you like luxury shopping and great restaurants. But if you’re looking for a cool hip place this isn’t it. It brings me back to hotels of days gone by. It’s clean and well kept but feels like the interior design decisions were all made a few decades ago. Well executed but definitely very old school.

The staff at the Windsor Arms Hotel were exceptional! They were attentive to all our needs and treated us like family. We can honestly say that it was the best experience! We will be back!

We arrived on a Friday evening. The ballroom is right off the main lobby/reception area and it was extremely noisy as the hotel was hosting a music night. Don’t get me wrong….I love music. However, little did we know when we were assigned room 223 that the ballroom was 2 stories high and thus the music was right outside our hallway. WHY when the amplification is cranked to max volume would you assign a room on the same floor??? This was not a last minute reso either! We called reception to find out what time this would stop and were told “I don’t know”. The throbbing non-stop music went on to 1 a.m. I was wondering if I had inadvertently stumbled onto a “Clubbing” site as opposed to one for a hotel. No one was at the front when we arrived to open the door. We brought out the porter’s cart. Saturday night there was an even LOUDER engagement party that had started around 5 pm and wound down @ midnight. When we got up on Sunday morning, the hall in the upper lobby nor the elevator had been vacuumed. Still littered with items from the previous night. Our conclusion: the Windsor Arms cares more about its outside events as opposed to a customer’s quiet comfort. Thoughtless to assign a room that was so close to the over amplified music….NOT what we signed up for. The staff also seemed to be poorly trained. Greetings were as if they were doing us a favour. No proper service at the front door entrance. We should have booked at our usual Four Seasons property.

What a great stay. Jake at the front desk was so helpful and knowledgable during our stay, my sister wanted a photo with him before we left! The hotel room was beautiful and the high tea and food at Gatsby was amazing. The service was impeccable. We will be back!

For a downtown location, this lovely hotel is remarkably quiet. It is gorgeous, the restaurants are first-rate, and above all, the service is professional and friendly.

The location was great. Close to Queens Park, U of T, the ROM, and Bloor Street shopping.

Stayed there celebrating my daughter's wedding at Casa Loma....it was only 8 minutes away... extremely convenient. Staff at front desk very friendly

It's still my favourite Toronto hotel. The near Yorkvile ideal location is perfect for me. Terrific staff.

I enjoyed a delicious omelette one morning and French toast the next. Food was lovely. We had drinks in the bar one night.
