We found Rabba close by an absolute gem. Canadian operated showcasing good quality and affordable food and drink options from Canada open 24 hours. Our room made good use of the space, bed was very comfortable, appreciated the kettle, coffee machine, microwave and stocked with basic cutlery and crockery. Large fridge was useful too. Staff were friendly and eager to please , especially Bruna on arrival. Met Edyta once. Loved the beautiful outside garden area with water feature and the close proximity to Wellesley Metro Station, 10 minute walk away. Would happily stay here again if we were ever to return.

A great like hotel in downtown. I loved being able to get up each morning and walk to different places ( to pick up groceries or grab a bite to eat) and very close to the Wellsley subway if I wanted to go farther. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. I stayed in two different rooms both required me to carry my suitcase up or down stairs. If this is an issue you should request a main floor room.

We had a nice stay, only went for two nights. Great location and easy walking distance for everything we wanted to do. Beautiful building. Room was a little small but 2 of us manage just fine. We had a very comfortable bed and clean bathroom and room. TV wasn’t working, wouldn’t connect to the satellite but we didn’t bring it to staff attention as we didn’t plan to use it much. Our room was on the third floor and no elevators in the building, we are ok with that but just keep in mind if you are not able to carry luggage up multiple flights of stairs. Parking is tights, only a handful of spots available so call with plenty of time because you have to reserve them or you will have yo find parking around. I would stay here again!

The post says there’s someone at the front desk, BUT the clerk was not at the desk and had to be called. Also, you have to get through a locked door to use the phone! Thank goodness there was an occupant outside to let me in to get to the phone!

Location was excellent - in the middle of the city, but on a quiet residential street. We felt very safe, as there was a code for the main entrance, and you needed a key to enter next door as well as a key to your room.

Our 2 night stay in the King #11 room was perfect. We loved every minute of it. The mansion built in the 1800's is in impeccable condition and has what you can expect in regards to power concerns - just don't run more than one thing at the same time and you don't have issues, it's that simple and doesn't hinder anything about the stay. The room was super clean and the linens were crisp white. Staff were so lovely and parking is a tight squeeze with limited spots but reserve the spot with a quick message during booking and you're all set. You have to keep in mind this is in a neighborhood of closely built Victorian style homes and spaces for parking wasn't a need during construction. Location is close to absolutely anything you need and Uber is unbelievably quick to get anywhere you need at a distance. Can't wait to book a stay here again.

This place is a gem! I stay here often. It’s an older building, so don’t expect flashy and new, but it’s very well maintained. There is no elevator, so keep that in mind if you have heavy luggage. Building is safe and secure, solo female travellers will feel comfortable with the building and the neighbourhood. Two blocks from the subway in both north/south line and east/west line.

Overall, this place offered a nice, small, secure room in the heart of Toronto. The bathroom was impeccably clean, however the room itself had visible dust bunnies on the air conditioning unit. The bed was very comfortable and staff - when available - we're kind and helpful. I would stay here again however those looking to book here should be aware that this is definitely an old Victorian mansion - the amenities have character, but are not modern.

Loved the garden and ease of check in. Great location! It's an old house, I get that, but weird looking bugs (not bed bugs), a centipede looking thing. Tried to kill it discovered a bu trap and a lot of dust, hair in corners and under the bed. Weird guy around the property at crazy hours. I'm sure the other rooms may have been nicer, mine was in an attic type room so the ceiling was slanted. It was meh. Cool area, would make bank if they cleaned up, upgraded and updated.

Great accommodations for my stay in TO. So easy to get around given transit options so close - subway, buses. Also so many options for food as it’s so close to Yonge street. The room was spotless and I’ve never seen a cleaner bathroom!!! The staff are friendly and helpful - 5 stars all the way around!!!

I have mixed feelings. The rooms are dated, understandably, but they're also not very clean. Mold in my bath, the floor rug needed to be vacuumed. There is very little at that price point in that area, so people are somewhat stuck. Note that there is no staff on site from 6 pm to 10 am, but they do answer the phone.

The bed was disgusting: there were three stains on the sheets and two clumps of hair and goop on the blanket. The room was dingy with faded walls, stained couch, old stained fridge, yellow lighting, and below ground!

The location is very good, close to transportation, stores and restaurants, but it could definitely use some work. The bed was very hard. A nice pillowtop matress cover could solve that problem. There was no lid on the toilet which was unsanitary and just icky. There was a used bar of soap left in the shower on top of the empty soap dispenser in our room. The television is also not user friendly.The sound would go out and it was hard to navigate the channels. Good location, good value, just needs some upgrades and attention to cleanliness.

Gross. Don’t unzip matteresd protection to I inspect condition- it was disgusting. Would have left if I could. Front desk concierge is a joke. Gal was offended I asked that a food delivery for me be dropped and said she would never do it again. Whole space smelled like Raid pesticide. I’m pretty sure soon was infested. Don’t be fooled by the name and exterior pics. This is not a quaint Victorian B&B. It’s an unkept slum, a shame for a property with such potential. Any ‘renovations’ claimed would have been maybe in the 80s by a handy man that didn’t know what they were doing. Worst experience ever in my life.

The room was ok for the price, but leaves alot to be desired. It had one of the most awkward showers I've ever used since the height of the shower was intruded by what seems like a staircase. The bathroom ceiling and tiles are in rough shape. There was no button/switch to turn on the bedside lamp, and when I followed extension cord to see if the plug needed adjusting there were electrical sparks. Location is great, and I appreciated having a fridge and microwave which is less common in some economy rooms these days.

A very nice heritage spot with easy access to the rest of Toronto. Room was nice enough, with a mini fridge, microwave, utensils etc. The King size bed was made up of two beds pushed together. I could connect to the wifi easily however it was actually not usable on the first floor because of the horrible speeds. All in all a good stay and I would recommend it.

We got the last room available with only a double bed. It was a tiny room but totally fine for our purposes. As well the room’s window is right beside the front door so it was a bit noisy at times. The property is lovely and the area is fantastic. Lots of restaurants, quaint coffee shops, etc. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were nice. I was pleasantly surprised to see a microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker in the room along with glasses mugs and cutlery. We recommend this place if your looking for an economical place to stay in Toronto in a nice area.

Sehr gute Lage um Toronto zu Fuß oder per U- Bahn zu erkunden. Altes Gebäude, Haus und Zimmer eng und klein. Fenster nicht zu öffnen, Elektrik nur eingeschränkt funktional.

The location is fantastic, and the price is right, which is why we chose this hotel. Our room was billed as "Superior Room, King", but it was in fact two single beds pushed together, and there was a seam in between. Additionally the pillows were very hard and round and gave us stiff necks. The bathroom was so tiny, and they do not provide toiletries, other than hand soap. So I would not say that it gets top marks for comfort, and not sure what makes the room "Superior". The credit card machine would not work when we arrived, so there was some delay/confusion there, that ultimately got worked out later via the booking platform. So I'd say this is a budget friendly hotel with nice staff but definitely needs some updating/improving.

The room we were in was lovely, but due to the property being an old mansion, the walls were very thin. We could easily hear the people next door to us arrive at half part 2 in the morning. Not anything the owners can do about, but something to be aware of when booking. We didn't necessarily like the idea of an unmanned reception - we only saw someone there once in the three days that we stayed there, but when we called to leave our bags the staff were very helpful. The location was great though - a very quiet residential street, but close to the metro station.

Positives - room is extremely clean, hotel is well located near the subway with lots of dining options around. There's a decent sized supermarket as well. Despite the reception isn't 24hrs, the staff is very responsive via chat on Expedia. Negatives - when the neighbour comes back, the door closes with such force that it rattles the entire wall (pretty sure it's the same for them when we return). The design of the room can be vastly improved to maximised the small space in the room. The room didn't feel secure as it's possible to climb through the window via the emergency stairs structure.

The hotel was just right for our needs. Edyta and the staff were quick to respond to our questions. It is an older building with the quirks that can bring, and charming too. We would stay there again readily.

Grundsätzlich geeignet für Toronto dank sehr guter Lage zur U Bahn, Uni, Restaurants und im Prinzip gut ausgestattet. Personal ist nur zwischen 11 und 18 Uhr dort, was bei checkin und etwaigen Problemen berücksichtigt werden sollte. Wen das nicht stört der ist dort passabel aufgehoben.

The room we were in was lovely, but due to the property being an old mansion, the walls were very thin. We could easily hear the people next door to us arrive at half part 2 in the morning. Not anything the owners can do about, but something to be aware of when booking. We didn't necessarily like the idea of an unmanned reception - we only saw someone there once in the three days that we stayed there, but when we called to leave our bags the staff were very helpful. The location was great though - a very quiet residential street, but close to the metro station.

a vent that we were not using (ac was over the bed), leaked, water? into my luggage, wet my clothes, destroyed a book (over 30$), all I got was a sorry. They don't care. Someone had left some substance, hand cream on a cloth at the bottom of the bed. They wiped away the substance, but it left a fatty stain. They didn't remove it, or wash it. Never stay there again. Period.

We didn't interact with any staff as we had a late check in, but Bruna was lovely via messaging with instructions on what to do for that and any other questions we had. Our stay was lovely as always, with our only complaint being that the single king bed was actually two singles pushed together. It wasn't a deal breaker by any means, but it was just not the best surprise. We'll absolutely be staying here again.

Perfect location for Toronto's gay village. My room was clean, nice, adequately spacious. This isn't a luxury hotel, but for a solo trip, it proved literally perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

Location was excellent - in the middle of the city, but on a quiet residential street. We felt very safe, as there was a code for the main entrance, and you needed a key to enter next door as well as a key to your room.

Can't beat the location. Next to the Young street subway and trams are near by. Room and building is very neat and tidy. We arrived during office hours so the check in went very smoothly. We would stay here again.

Great location for transit stops and attractions, nice quiet spot in nice building, room was lovely - bed and pillows excellent and everything quite clean. Contactless check-in was easy and convenient, very happy with my stay and will likely be back again. This is an excellent option for a stay in downtown Toronto.

We found Rabba close by an absolute gem. Canadian operated showcasing good quality and affordable food and drink options from Canada open 24 hours. Our room made good use of the space, bed was very comfortable, appreciated the kettle, coffee machine, microwave and stocked with basic cutlery and crockery. Large fridge was useful too. Staff were friendly and eager to please , especially Bruna on arrival. Met Edyta once. Loved the beautiful outside garden area with water feature and the close proximity to Wellesley Metro Station, 10 minute walk away. Would happily stay here again if we were ever to return.

First visit to Canada and it didn't disappoint. Nice guest house with easy access by public transport, Wellesley Metro Station is just around the corner. Comfortable room on the first floor. Breakfast is not included but there are cafes close by and a fridge if you want to self cater.

I like staying at Victoria's Mansion because it is right in the gay neighborhood and on a beautiful residential street. I like the fact that it is a short walk to the Wellesley TTC station and near a very good restaurant, namely, Bumpkins.

Un super emplacement géographique à quelques minutes du métro ( ligne 1 qui dessert le centre ville) qui nous a permis de pratiquement découvrir tout le centre ville à pied. Des chambres petites et un peu vieillottes mais très propres et une literie confortable. Un très bon rapport qualité prix. Pour le petit-déjeuner il y a des cafés aux alentours pour tous les goûts

This place was a gem! It was clean and more unique than a hotel room. It was on a lovely street, was quiet, clean and a very short walk to the subway. Getting there using public transportation was a breeze. The room was well equipped with a microwave, fridge, dishes, and a kettle. There is a 24 hour convience store across the street so we just bought bagels and peanut butter for a quick and cheap breakfast. We will definitley go back there for future visits to Toronto!

Although the rooms are small, this guesthouse is located only around a block away from the subway station and within walking distance of many restaurants. It is also very close to the LGBT nightclubs and restaurants. The building itself is very secure and has parking right behind the house.
