Lovely hotel right in the centre of Trier. We were lucky enough to have the view of Porta Nigra. Reasonable parking rate, there are some parking spots with no height restriction.

Die Bäder sind noch original aus den Achtzigern - das sind weiß geflieste Naßzellen, geduscht wird in der Badewanne. Dennoch steige ich hier regelmäßig ab. Die Lage ist sensationell, zentraler kann man nicht wohnen. Und der Blick aus dem Fenster auf die 2000 Jahre alte Porta Nigra raubt mir als gebürtige Trier jedes Mal den Atem. Auch beim Frühstück hat man einen tollen Blick auf das alte römische Stadttor. Es gibt eine sehr geräumige Tiefgarage, parken kostet 18 € je 24 Stunden, was für diese Lage angemessen ist.

Amazing location right next to the Porta Nigra with all the facilities you’d expect of a major chain 4 star hotel. The bathroom was looking a bit tired but otherwise the room was great and there is a spacious underground garage.

War alles zur vollsten Zufriedenheit, großes Zimmer, alles sehr ordentlich, nettes Personal, gute Auswahl beim Frühstück, tolle Aussicht auf die Porta Nigra vom Frühstücksraum, die Innenstadt ist fußläufig sehr nah und Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es ausreichend in der Tiefgarage.

ビューのある部屋を選んで良かったです。夜中でもライトアップされた世界遺産ポルタニグラを見ることが出来ました。駅からスーツケースを引いても歩けますよ。近くにNormaというスーパーがあり、TEEKANNEの紅茶や美味しいモーツァルトチョコなどお土産が買えました。 Deitz という美味しいパン屋さんも近くにあるのをスタッフが教えてくださり、嬉しかったです。旧市街がすぐそこなので、ロケーションも最高です。スタッフは親切で部屋はとても綺麗で快適な旅となりました。必ず又行きたいと思うほどです。次回は朝ごはんも食べたいです。

Gewohnt guter Accor-Standard in perfekter Lage direkt gegenüber der Porta Nigra. Man ist in einer Minute in der Altstadt mit ihren Geschäften und Restaurants, und auch ins alte Fischerviertel Zurlauben mit seinen malerischen Kneipen- und Restaurantterrassen direkt an der Mosel sind es zu Fuß keine 10 Minuten. Die Zimmer sind sauber und anständig, das Personal professionell und freundlich.

The stuff is nice and very helpful. My check in was very quick as well. That is a huge plus. But the hotel needs a renovation. The furnutire is old. The bathroom is also old. The breakfast is good. The hotel is in an excellent location to see the city, it really could not be more convenient. Keep in mind that the hotel is on a busy road so if you open the window to get fresh air you will have lots of traffic noise and if you are in the parking lot side there is no view and additional noise. The hotel was clean and well maintained considering its age. It could use some new paint and safes in the room for personal items. It is older and parts of it are showing that. However, the staff is friendly and helpful and the location simply can’t be beaten for convenience.

Zimmer mit Porta Nigra Blick ist absolut empfehlenswert (Foto). Service war gut, checkin unproblematisch. Das Hotel ist teilweise etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sehr gutem Standard(Meckern auf hohem Niveau). Das Aufzugsinterieur zeigt Spuren der Benutzung. Die Bäder sind groß, sauber und ordentlich, aber Wannenbäder nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Klima-Heizungsanlage ließen sich nicht vernünftig bedienen, da die Zahlen auf den Reglern nicht mehr erkennbar waren. Parken ist super, mit Kombi kein Problem.

Property is right on the edge of the of the main city center and across from one of the Roman ruins. It’s walkable to most sites and about 10-15 min walk from the train station. Rooms were well sized and clean but pretty basic otherwise.

The outstanding feature of this hotel is its location. Easy access to train station and across the street from Porta Nigra and the old town. The hotel itself is comfortable and a bit old-school, we had a spacious room and the largest bed I have ever seen.

The location of this property is unbeatable, especially for the price. The views are absolutely stunning and the entire city is very walkable from the hotel. The main thing we did not like was that the lamps on the bed are directly above your head and we hit our heads a few times.

Great location. Was billed for the room twice first even though I asked does the first payment show. But since I had a receipt, the second payment was returned, so no issue. Could have given me an apology, but I guess its the german way not to. Otherwise ok and the Center of Trier is right there.

In general , the hotel is very nice. However, amenities are very basic, a high-end hotel has no wash clothes in the room, Kleenex run out not replenish, only 1 flat pillow per person, and had to make use of the sofar cushion to fit my head while sleeping. Twice I called reception counter but never answered and had to go to the reception counter in person for service, I refused to go to the lobby myself for the second time. I would not give this hotel a thumb up for recommendations.

The staff were always helpful to assist with anything needed. Friendly people & convenient location makes Mercure in Trier a great place to stay when visiting. Make sure you stay for at least 2-3 days, as there is a lot to see and it requires several days to take it all in.

I think this is a great option for a stay in Trier, its right opposite the Porta Nigra and as such a very short walk to the town centre and numerous attractions. Breakfast is expensive but has a fantastic variety of foods. Staff are very professional and requests are actioned promptly. Definitely worth considering

Das Mercure hat in Trier die beste Lage direkt gegenüber der Porta Nigra. Es ist in die Jahre gekommen, aber das Bad, die Zimmerausstattung, die Matratze, aller noch ok. Teppichboden überall. Das Restaurant hat eine gute Küche und sehr freundliches Personal, die Einrichtung eher unschön. Defekte Leuchtmittel auf dem Zimmer wurden trotz Reklamation nicht ersetzt. Stattdessen gab es 2 Gläser leckeren Weißwein.

Helt ok sentralt plassert hotell i Trier. Frokosten er ikke som på bildene i hotellet (dårligere frukt tilbud og ikke speilegg) og serveres på håpløst små "all inclusive tallerkener". Den er derfor ikke verdt prisen.

We could have done with lighter duvets as the room was to warm. We may have been able to cool it with the ventilation system but the noise would have kept us awake. The restaurant was too full for us at 9.00 on Saturday morning . We loaded up a tray which we took to our room but there were tables available, just not cleared.
