Breakfast was lower quality. I came down for breakfast at 915am and thought I'd have lot's of time to eat, there was not much to choose from and the hot food was cold. It felt like things were already being packed up and customers were rushed to eat. We were also disappointed to see the pool was closed. The work our area was small and had limited equipment. I felt the hotel should be of higher quality for the price! On the plus side, the beds were super comfortable and the staff were nice.

Nice comfortable room on a fairly quiet street in downtown Victoria! Close to all of the action and the downtown shopping. Was a bit noisy in our room next to the pool showers but still acceptable. Good rate and nice underground parking for smaller vehicles. Would stay again!

Checked in for 2 day stay..nice location close to harbour. Room had kitchen, however no plates or pots and pans..when asked at front desk, they say they are locked and could be a fee attached to it. No A/C in room which is a first that I have seen. Not a big issue as we are in September. Nice outdoor pool and indoor hot tub. Nice breakfast

Vey much enjoyed our 2 night stay. Clean, quiet room well appointed. Only the closed pool was a bit disappointing but it was minus 12 outside so the indoor whirlpool was a welcome substitute. Close to the local amenities and quiet at night. Great breakfast included. Would stay here again.

My reason for choosing this property was for a working pool. Sadly, it was an outdoor pool and closed for the season (and minus temperatures!) but the hot tub was working and welcome after a cold day outdoors. Overall, a very nice hotel, nicely kept. Great staff and a very good breakfast included. Close to the tourist center of downtown Victoria yet nice and quiet at night.

Way too much $$ for parking. I was aware that parking was extra. But I think 17$ per day is waaay too much. One girl at the front desk told me the pool wasn't heated. Uhhh, yes it is cause I dipped my foot in. Needs to be warmer in the early season opening. Carpets need "kicked" and a good steam cleaning. Staff in the breakfast area were wonderful. Tip them, they deserve it. I left them 20$ for the three nights I stayed. I had a kitchenette but the dishes were locked up. Didn't need them anyway so I didn't ask them to unlock the cupboard. Don't think I would stay with them again. I feel like I only paid 1300$ for the location.

We will definitely stay again when we visit Victoria. The suite was so spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We loved that it was walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The pool and grounds were so beautiful as well. And the laundry was an added bonus.

Nice place as it’s in the inner harbour where you can just walk to the tourist attractions. However, i did not like the smell of the carpet in the hotel room, it’s smelled like moldy. The housekeeping did not do great in cleaning the room during the day. I am always particular when it comes to cleanliness.

We found a small live bug on our mattress upon checkin and we concerned it might be a bed bug. The clerk on duty dismissed our concerns and we had to ask at least twice if we could please get a different room. He finally begrudgingly agreed. We then spoke with the manager who knew nothing of the matter and were told that she would get back to us after she had a moment to look into it. She never got back to us over the course of our 3 night stay.

Enjoyed 3 night stay. Good sized room, with kitchen. Good buffet breakfast. Clean. We did not have a car so loved that we could just walk over to the harbor. Walking distance to many restaurants. Just round the corner to the Royal BC Museum, Provincial Legislature, harbor walkway, Empress Hotel for afternoon tea. Easy to walk into downtown and I am 79 years old

Found a bed bug and its eggs in our first room and were moved to another room. Vending machine at the hotel was not great--some of the rows were just not available even though there were items in them, orange juice wasn't cold when it came out, chocolate bar was soft and partially melted. Bathroom was mostly clean, though there was a mildew smell in the shower and handle on sink faucet needed to be really pressed down and pushed to one side to turn the water off. Staff were super friendly and helpful though, and we were upgraded to a room with a kitchenette after finding the bed bug in our initial room. Probably would not stay here again, but the staff were great.

The hotel is generally clean and in a good state of repair. The location is good, easily walkable into town and to buses. There is a lack of facilities at the hotel with nowhere to sit and have a drink in the evening and no dining options apart from breakfast, meaning you have to go out for everything. The rooms are clean and functional, but with dull and dated decor, with poor lighting, meaning they are dark all day. Staff are friendly and helpful, though there are few of them. We wouldn’t stay again.

A decent hotel in a convenient location, however, I don’t fee the price is justified due to the dated rooms and amenities. For over $300/night, I’d expect a bit more than a decent room and breakfast. Not only was the flooring and decor dated, but the sliding door screeched every time we opened it. The fan in the bathroom was quite loud as well. Parking was not included either. The location is probably the best part of this hotel. It’s close to the downtown area without the smells and sounds. It was less than a 10 minute walk to the wharf, and less than that to downtown. Our room itself was at the end of the building, so we found it to be pretty quiet. Overall, we’re happy with our stay but don’t think the room decor and amenities are worth the price.

If you need AIR CONDITIONING this is NOT the property for you. I assumed all Best Western lodging would have it. I was told they are all independent. I asked why it wasn't disclosed in the description. The answer was that they only list what they do have. We had a little tabletop fan and were given a second one when we complained. That with leaving the sliding balcony door open all night was how we coped. Had I known, I would have booked elsewhere.

The place is nice, very convenient and walkable from the main downtown area. But the walls of the room were so thin we could hear everything going on outside our room, every door being open and shut. Very early wake up.

My wife and I stayed for two nights at this hotel. Although staff was really nice and polite, the room was old and not comfortable. We found it too dark, since there’s no much light coming in from outside - this is the first floor room facing the street. We had a very hard time with the bed and mainly the thermostat, which was old and did not function well. We had very bad nights as we struggled a lot with the temperature in the room. I wouldn’t go back to this hotel if all the rooms were like that one we stayed in.

Front desk staff happily stored our backpacks while we awaited checkin. They offered to call us when our room was ready. They did, and we were able to check in 2 hours early. They offered access to the washroom (bathroom) and happily answered questions about the area.

My wife and I spent two weeks at the hotel while exploring Victoria. We wanted cooking facilities so a suite at the Best Western Plus Inner Harbour proved ideal. Excellent location in the James Bay area just south of the inner harbour. Quiet at all times of day (or night). Clean, well-maintained facility. Had no problems with the underground parking or any other facility that we used. The best thing about our two weeks there, however, was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, whether at breakfast, the regular room cleaning or the front desk staff. Simply the nicest people.

The front desk staff there was so nice. They not only helped us to keep our luggage after we checked out, but also helped us to call a taxi when there was no Uber coming. A yellow cab showed up at the front entrance just about a minute after the call, which eased my worry about missing the BC ferry to Vancouver, which in turn may lead to missing our flight back to Toronto.

I had to ask twice for our room to be cleaned during a 3 night stay. The receptionist said they would not make our beds but would empty the garbages. I asked for the beds to be made as this is a bare minimum expectation for a hotel stay, she argued and was not accommodating at all. The room was not cheap and I was disappointed in the service for our much anticipated family vacation.

Nous étions au dernier étage, côté piscine, face a la rivière. Il y a du bruit jour et nuit car plusieurs avions amerrissent et décollent. Aucun air climatisé et impossible de laisser la porte patio ouverte la nuit dû au bruit. Cependant, il y avait un ventilateur notre disposition. Petit déjeuner est bien et les aliments sont chauds. Belle piscine extérieure chauffée /-78 degrés. Très bien situé, tout se fait à pied.

The staff at check-in were very friendly and helpful and the room was large and clean. I appreciated the microwave and fridge. However, it was on the ground floor and very noisy because of construction right outside m window and a noisy door in the hallway leading to the stairs just past my room. The breakfast room was small and cramped with almost no seating. I chose it for its great location which was close to the inner harbour attractions and shopping.

For the price per night of the room we would have expected a much better breakfast with more variety of food. You should consider getting a waffle maker instead of the pancake maker. The pancakes tasted like rubber. Overall the food choices were very limited. The rooms seemed very cramped with furniture too large for the space. Your cleaning staff where very good. We have not stayed in a hotel that added parking to the cost of the stay, that is typically included. It seems like an unnecessary cash grab. It is doubtful that we would stay here again.

Breakfast service was terrible. Posted hours were 0630 to 10 am but food ran out at 0945 and was not replenished. Staff member on duty was not at all helpful: not cleaning tables; not replenishing food, and being rude.
