We have stayed in many hotels in Victoria and have always said we need to stay at the Huntington one day. We are sorry we waited so long. It’s a beautiful historic building with modern amenities and renovated rooms. Our room had everything we needed including the kitchen. Ideal for short or longer stays. The well staffed kitchen provided a great buffet breakfast that was included to make the stay even more economical. an added bonus was 4 hours of free charging for our EV. I didn’t spend a penny on fuel on this trip from Vancouver.

Older property, was very clean, staff very helpful, had a good breakfast, didn’t have hot tub, lounge, had spa on property but separate business no hotel discount, was offered upgrade, w/ kitchen, but bedroom upstairs and bathroom downstairs, not very convenient in middle of night, didn’t even use kitchen, wasn’t a fan of super soft bed and pillows. But price point better then some surrounding hotels, different then we were used to, had a awesome time in Victoria.

Nice place to stay. It is directly across the Black Ball Ferry drive off exit. It is on the small side. The elevators are a bit slow and one was out of order most of the time we were there. Not to much of a delay though. Our room was clean and roomy. The bed was in an upstairs loft, it was a bit inconvenient maneuvering down the slightly steep stairs, if you had to use the bathroom during the night. The cleaning staff was always hard at work from early morning to late in the afternoon slowing the elevators some. Breakfast was good, a bit awkward set up that caused some confusion knowing which way the line flowed. You had to pour your coffee and add your crwam and sugar to it at the counter which slowed things down. There was not any sugar at the tables or packets to grab and finish making your coffee to your liking at the table, maybe having some at each table would ease some of the congestion. Location is great and easy to walk to the many attractions nearby.

The room was comfortable and spacious, ours had a separate seating room and a king bed. The hotel was nice but in need of updates. Breakfast was included and there were lots of options. The only disappointment was that parking was not included if you booked through Expedia but was included if you booked at the hotel directly.

Loved that they accepted dogs. However; it was not clear on the website that there was a $50 fee. At check in front counter I read it was a$50 fee and was advised it was $30 and $20 would be refunded but was not. Room was good basic but adequate. Comp breakfast was fabulous saved the search and walk in the morning. Out door parking was also available and with lighting and a gate for added security. Location was perfect with walking distance to all things downtown. Recommended for sure.

The staff are very helpful. The breakfast buffet had good options and was tasty. Also liked that breakfast was served from 7:00-11:00. The location is great - walked everywhere. Also close to the horse carriages and bike taxis if you get tired of walking. I enjoyed some spa services and they were delightful. Overall I loved it. It is a bit outdated but I didn't mind that.

Two senior sisters stayed for 2 nights at the Huntington Inn at the end of our Vancouver Island vacation. The gentleman at the reception was very kind when we arrived. The cost for parking is $18 per day within in and out privileges and you are assigned a parking spot for the entire stay. The rooms are clean, but there is really no view and the air conditioners are old window style air conditioning. The bathroom is a tub with a shower curtain, which is not ideal for seniors. The rooms have a Nespresso machine, but we were not fans. Their rooms are not big and not fancy but we enjoyed our stay. The free breakfast in the morning is hot and cold buffet style with lots of choices. The breakfast dining area is lovely, all windows. We felt very safe going out in the evening and the hotel is in an excellent area between the Empress Hotel and the fisherman’s wharf. We had debated whether or not to go to the Pendray Inn and tea house for breakfast one morning, which would have been an extra $10 each. We were delighted with the breakfast that is served at the Huntington.

Wonderful complimentary breakfast. Walking distance to the inner harbour and downtown Victoria. Definitely older dated rooms. They did renovate it but does still have the old house smell. Unfortunately our room also had a musty and unpleasant bathroom odor that also spills into the bed area. Their soaps are also unscented, so can't even mask the smell.. parking is extra $ but well protected and good access.

The hotel is in kind of rough shape. Also the smell of Lysol and/or pinesol was so strong in the room it made me feel nauseated. Once it disapated , hours later, we requested that the room not be cleaned again so they wouldn’t use tfe same cleaning products. Breakfast was ok. Beds were very comfortable and tge location was excellent

I loved the location and facilities. It was conveniently located and had great access to a beautiful part of Victoria. My room was clean and spacious. The check-in staff were friendly and helpful. But, when I tried to use wifi to attend a business meeting Huntingdon let me down. Their wifi was inadequate. When I asked desk staff for help they offered no solutions. I was ejected from my meeting. When I told the staff about this bad experience they provided unhelpful advice. They didn’t offer any compensation, when their poor service cost me. It was a very disappointing experience and poor customer service. Video conference quality wifi is a standard of service that is basic.

Our room was in good condition a clean, but the walls are paper thin and we could hear people sneezing/coughing in their sleep and doors slamming all night. Then when the power went out at 5am it was a bit distressing because the fire alarm in our room started beeping because the batteries were low - and then it stopped - so we had no working fire alarm. My entire family was staying in the hotel in 3 rooms at the time - so it worried me for sure. The power didn’t come back on until later in the afternoon which was not great since we all had a wedding we were in and had to go get another hotel room to do our hair and makeup and steam our dresses. Not the fault of the hotel as a transformer blew we were told -but we didn’t have our continental breakfast either or showers or coffee in our room - nothing. Also our room didn’t get cleaned that day -but when we came back for our second night at least the power was on! And upon check out on the second day we asked if there was going to be any discount for the issues with the power and no breakfast- and we were told maybe - we did receive a discount on 2 of the 3 rooms for the first night. Also - th parking was bad - they only had a very small parking lot that we could get one parking spot for - and we booked 3 rooms - so the other 2 cars had to find street parking which was not convenient.

We enjoyed staying in one of the lofts that were recently renovated. It was really hot outside and without a window in the upstairs bedroom we found it warm up there and had the air running for a good 6 hours after we checked in. Continental breakfast was included and the selection was good. Pre book a parking spot because we didnt know that could be an issue. Would stay there again

I can hear people moving about above me. I can hear when a trap is turned on, the water noise is astinishing!! I can hear the people next door. It's the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff on the other hand are very friendly and helpful.

After a very long and stressful trip to Victoria, arriving at the Huntingdon was a relief. We were upgraded to a room that suited us well. The staff was one of the most efficient, welcoming and pleasant I have encountered in years. Bravo to the excellent staff! The location is perfect in that it was not far from the harbor, but on a mostly quiet road. We will definitely be staying here again.

I was very disappointed with the management’s handling of a power outage this past Saturday. While I understand utility issues can be out of the hotel's control, the lack of communication and compensation was unacceptable. We were left without breakfast or hot water until 2:30 PM. No alternative meal vouchers were provided, and the staff made no effort to offer a room discount or credit for the significant inconvenience. For the price paid, I expected much better service recovery.

Check-in was slow, waited for customers ahead of struggling with the disgusting process. We struggled also, entering personal info on a touch screen that could be barely seen. Desk person refused to enter info in his computer from my ID that had demographic information. Dirty,cluttered hallways. Room was.clean. Toilet was so low and small, jammed under a shelf so that lid and seat wouldn't stay up for male use.. Breakfast had good selection and was tasty.

The staff were very professional and helpful. Kudos to the breakfast staff who were friendly and efficient. Special thanks to staff member Edrezia (hope I spelled that right) who helped us through a room change due to a broken piece on the toilet. She was friendly and accommodating to our needs. did not like attitude of staff -compared to all other hotels we stayed at on our visit-issues with parking-moving my luggage out of my room without prior permission-was very embarrasing-not on top of confirmation of room booking on checking in. Won't be back-gave us

The loft style layout for the suites is nice, room was very clean but the hide-a-bed was ancient and it forced you to sleep on an inverted angle. Fridge/Freezer doors were on backwards (Room 322) making access very awkward (table in the way). Reminders in room to tip by scanning QR code. Couldn’t see an ice machine on site anywhere (may be I missed it). Loads of dishes, kettle, toaster and coffee pod style machine. Well appointed that way. Nice contemporary mirrors with good lighting in the bathroom. Front desk staff was fantastic. Breakfast was average buffet fare quality was ok. A lot of emphasis placed on tips, however there was no “service” other than a head count at the entrance and cleaning up the table. Felt rushed, witnessed the staff nearly pushing clients out of the way to clean a dirty table - not sure if that shows enthusiasm or a numbers crunch to get you out quickly. Signs in multiple locations asking you to eat and move on quickly to make room for others and not-so-subtle signs reminding you to scan a QR code and leave a tip. Location was great. Not sure I would stay again - undecided. I’d give it 3.5/5 but there are no 1/2 stars. Some investment in quality sofas/pullouts along with some service training in the restaurant would go a long way in making this a great space.

The location is perfect—just a short walk from the harbor and close to local shops and restaurants. But what really stood out was the breakfast. They offer a fantastic buffet spread each morning, and I was seriously impressed by the variety and quality. Great location - close to attractions, shopping, dining. Bed comfortable and hotel quiet at night. Free breakfast was ok but get there no later than 8:15 or you will have to line up. Very inconvenient that breakfast items cannot be taken out of the restaurant, particularly is you are on the go and don't have time to line up. Asked ahead of time for early check-in (1pm) as I was arriving at 10am from across the country. They would not accommodate which I thought was poor customer service. Also surprised at the proliferation of signs throughout the hotel reminding guests to tip the staff. Poor taste.
