Absolutely loved everything about our stay at the beautiful Magnolia Hotel & Spa located in downtown Victoria close to all local amenities, bars and restaurants. The staff were very welcoming friendly helpful and professional. Rooms were very well equipped, extremely clean and super comfortable. The hotel has bicycles available on a first come first served basis and these were great for exploring the greater Victoria area. We ate breakfast in the restaurant which was lovely, staff were attentive and professional. The onsite gym is well equipped. I would highly recommend a stay on hotel Magnolia.

Beds were great. Coffee and tea machine in Lobby was outstanding. Very clean except that HVAC registers were filthy. Fitness center was dated and Hoist cable machine was worn out and unsafe.

We enjoyed our stay at the Magnolia Hotel and Spa. It’s a charming hotel located conveniently downtown. It’s within walking distance of the Victoria Harbour, museums, and lots of restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel is clean. We appreciated the nice little touches, like nightly turndown service, bedside chocolates, and the Nespresso machine. The only downsides to the downtown location are expensive parking ($40/night) and people partying loudly in the street during the night.

Superb Quick Getaway! The Magnolia Hotel was the perfect spot for a refreshing break. Complimentary e-bikes made exploring the city a breeze, and the top-notch espresso machine in the lobby was a daily treat. Each morning, I enjoyed their refreshing infused sparkling water, and in the evenings, the complimentary chocolates and turndown service added such a thoughtful touch. Excellent value for money—highly recommend!

Staff were all friendly and helpful. Wonderful restaurant "Courtney Room". Also, an incredible SPA in the hotel. The room was spacious and the bathroom completely renovated and updated. Fitness room was small but well equipped and clean. Walking distance to the Empress Hotel & the inner harbour, where most activities begin. Excellent place to stay.

For check in, it was problmatic. They did not address any of the requests we called for when we booked. Then did not give us any expedia VIP upgrade. They then gave us a 100 coupon for food at their bar and restaurant which seemed lovely at 4:30 when they gave it to us as we were there 2 nights. That said, at 7pm they sent a note that bar and restaurant closed the next day from 2 on, so basically to use coupon we either had to change our plans for that night or go for breakfast. In light of check in issues, they switched us to a room that was smaller and it had black mold in all 4 corners of the shower. When i showed the manager the pictures of the mold, she said to fix would require re caulking so wouldnt be taken care of. Never offered to change our rooms. Did give us an email commitment to come back for a night at a lesser level room than the one i had paid for. Not sure what their stars are based on. That said, did have nice robes and slippers.

Such a lovely stay at The Magnolia and Victoria as a whole. We came for our 30th anniversary and enjoyed many wonderful meals, wines and craft cocktails, including High Tea at The Empress. The room was lovely w/ a partial harbor view. Very comfortable bed and linens. The staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. We had dinner at The Courtney Room and it didn't disappoint. We enjoyed the pre-fixe menu and bought a bottle recommended by the very lovely and talented Somm, Mira. A worthy 30 year celebratory dining experience. Highly recommend - the stay, the dining, the city, CANADA! <3

The staff were all very nice and we love the location but the stay overall was just okay. I have stayed in the king room which was quite nice but the queen room feels very basic. The bed was uncomfortable and the windows didn’t close properly so we could hear everything happening on the street. We asked for it to be fixed but a miscommunication meant they only fixed one window so I was woken up both nights by street noise.

The room was decent; however, we booked a harbour view that really wasn’t a harbour view at all. There was a small peek a boo look at the water, but you really had to strain yourself to see it. Also, the room was very loud —HVAC. Would stay at hotel again (have stayed many times) but not in 602.

This is our go to hotel for our frequent trips to Victoria for theatre and concerts at the Royal Theatre. The location is perfectly situated for walking in either direction, so the harbour, dining and the theatre are all easily accessible. The property itself is in fantastic condition, the rooms and other facilities are very well maintained. The staff are without exception warm and welcoming and every request we have made was delivered with the highest level of courtesy. Wonderful hotel!

Everything was lovely, everyone was very nice, and all the many things in my car were kept securely in the valet-parking garage. My only complaint would be that I was promised a call ‘in 30-40 minutes’ in mid-afternoon when my room was expected to be ready, but that call did not come for over 2 hours - which made it 15 minutes later than the standard 4 pm check-in time.

What a fantastic Hotel and such a great city. The Staff was welcoming, friendly, and professional. We stayed for three nights. The outrageous machine that made my flat whites perfectly every morning, the apple-spiced tea at night, the clean, comfortable rooms, the location, and all of the fantastic food recommendations. The holiday decorations in the hotel and downtown were mystical. Thank you, and have told everyone who is thinking about Victoria that the Magnolia Hotel is by far the place to stay.

Wonderful hotel at the heart of beautiful downtown Victoria - harbour area. Conveniently located within walking distance from all major attractions and great restaurants. We were greeted with lovely bottle if bubbly and a thoughtful note on our mini honeymoon. Perfect. The hotel was spotless and the room spacious ( deluxe corner room). Nice touches like a dyson hairdryer, nespresso coffee in the room and lobby and l'occitane products completed the experience. The staff were all very professional, polite and friendly. Breakfast was OK albeit a little pricey, but given the standard of the hotel, thats to be expected. It was a little confusing that we had a 20% discount on breakfast for day two, but not on day one?

Do note that you aren’t eligible for free continental breakfast if you book through a “third party” app- like Expedia. You aren’t even eligible to purchase the continental breakfast unless you book directly.
