Good location for getting to main attractions in town with free parking was a real bonus. Spacious room with 2 large beds. Shower worked quite well .Air conditioning worked albeit a little noisy but that helped cover road noise outside. Wifi worked reasonably well. Had a small lift that worked. We also used the stairs that were nearby to go out. Motel is looking a little “tired” but otherwise functional.

Stayed second time at Island Tracel Inn. AC, Fridge, Microwave, coffee maker at the room all worked perfectly. King size bed, Lots of free parking, good staffs and proper location all made the hotel a good place to stay. A bit old, no pool, no gym, no free breakfast though. Overall very good.

Booked this hotel when my summer family reunion plans fell apart and needed something affordable for a large group of ppl last minute. Check in was easy and staff was friendly and helpful. The property is older, needs a good cleaning and upkeep. The bathroom tiles are moldy, the curtains in the room fall off their hangers, and I hung a towel up and the hook completely fell out of the door. It is almost comical. The heavy carpet cleaner or heavy febreeze smell( not sure which it is) gave me a headache. I think it’s used to mask another smell but it almost makes it worse. Our balconies overlooked a colourful display of characters who set up daytime residence along the back street. My children were frightened and amused at all the yelling, sirens and constant commotion out their windows. I met a fellow guest in the elevator that was delighted to be moving to the third floor as his first floor room had poop on the window (yes you read that correctly) I wore my sandals in the room the entire time as the carpet felt really gross. On the plus! The beds and pillows are super comfortable that it makes you forget all the other stuff. Had a great sleep at this place and as long as you don’t turn down the wrong street, it is very walkable to many great restaurants, China town and the harbour. There is also a beautiful No Frills in close walking distance which we found to be very convienient for getting cheap snacks to stock your room with.
