We stayed over the Easter weekend and enjoyed our stay. The staff is very friendly, our room and hotel were clean, my daughter loved the pool, the restaurant had delicious food and the best part for me was the valet parking. I very much appreciated having secure parking especially tall enough for my lifted truck. I will be staying again next time I’m in Victoria :)

We stayed on the 16th floor and it was quiet, clean and updated. The pool was great for the kids, the concierge staff was wonderful, and the location is perfect. We’d stay here again.

Hotel is conveniently located to the harbor, just walking distance from the bus stop to Butchart Gardens, to Sooke and to the Ferry Station. The hotel customer service was excellent. They upgraded our room for free and let you check in 2 hours earlier. Cleanliness is excellent as well. They clean our room everyday and refills the toiletries and 2 complimentary bottled water. The bed was comfortable and I love the sheets … high quality hotel bed sheets. Will definitely comeback and also will highly recommend this hotel to people and friends. All in all it was an excellent experience. Thank you!!!

First room we checked into was gross and not clean. Second room they moved us too the bed wasn't made from the guest before and was still dirty. They finally checked us into a satisfactory room. For our troubles they gave us a dessert/appetizer voucher.

The hvac trunk ran through our room. It was loud and awful. We got no sleep at all. Turning it off did nothing because the popping and cracking of the venting kept us up as well. There was blood on the inside of our door. Husband called after we left for dinner and when we came back it was removed. Told the front desk about our experience and they could care less. I wouldn’t stay again. There are many other options.

Although this would have been a good-ish review, we paid way too much $ for a just okay room. 1) Beds were doubles although our room was supposed to be queens 2) towel rack with all the clean/ dry towels was in the shower - bizarre! - there was plenty of room on walls in the bathroom proper. We had to pile them all up on the counter. 3) one measly hook on the door in the bathroom for two towels. Why don’t hotels ever provide a reasonable amount of hooks?? 4) odd placement of amenities lined up along the wall with fridge at the end by the window (instead of in the fridge cabinet), coffee thing on the floor on a shelf, nowhere to put our bags/ clothes, extra random glasses in the closet 5) human hair on the bathrobes 6) no microwave. CLEAN except for the human hairs.

Was very clean but we noticed orange spots on the floor and thought it was juice from people before. Then we got a bit upset for the price we are paying can’t even clean the floor.. then we switched rooms and same thing orange dots on the floor so we came to the conclusion is must be their cleaning solution and they are not wiping it all up properly. Other than that it was clean and very good service from front desk. Pool is clean and fun. Overall good stay.

Large construction right across from us, so the balcony was useless. And not that they can control it, but the buildings now in front of this property block all views of the harbor and or Empress Hotel. We heard ambulance or police sirens every night. And several each night. Besides the noise and what you see outside your windows, it is a great hotel.

Had a wonderful stay at the Victoria Marriott for my family with 2 little ones! The hotel was able to accommodate early check in and late check out for my family which was amazing! Only minor things to complain about. The chat support with the hotel through Expedia was lacking, the person was on vacation but when they came back they didn’t address my questions promptly. Said they would have microwave ready (needed for the kids) but I had to call to get it. Didn’t let me know if there’s a bathtub or if early check in/late check out was available, so I had to call hotel. Black out blinds didn’t quite cover the whole window so the sunlight woke up my kids a bit too early. Missing floor bath mat first day we were there. Had to ask for house keeping to bring extra towels because things weren’t always restocks, including daily complimentary water - will give them credit how quickly they got things to the room. The staff at check in seemed indifferent we were there. Bell person / valet person were friendly though and helpful getting us unloaded/loaded with all our luggages, which is great when you got your hands full with the kids! There was construction across the street which isn’t great of course, but out of their control. Would stay there again, but there’s definitely some room for improvement for communication and care!

The hotel is clean and staff is friendly. Rooms are a bit dated and showing some age, but are clean and comfortable. We booked a room with a balcony because we have children, and like to relax on the balcony while they watch a movie or fall asleep. Upon arrival we noticed that there was no patio furniture. The one chair in the room was too large to move outside. We called the front desk and asked if we could have two chairs or stools or really anything to sit on. We were told that no furniture at all is permitted on the balcony for 'security reasons'. Upon checkout they covered the cost of our parking to compensate for the extra cost of booking a room with a balcony, which was totally fair. However, we would likely not book again, and would book at any of the nearby hotels that we've stayed at previously which do not seem to have the same concerns with putting two chairs on the balcony.

Good, central location but the customer service was terrible. We arrived at check in time and were told our room was not yet ready. They didn’t offer us anything and simply made us wait until they had confirmed we could enter. No one offered to help with our bags, We were not asked if we were loyalty members or offered to sign up ( we are members). We asked for plates and had to wait a very long time. They didn’t offer coffee unless we were members who were at a certain “level”. We did not feel welcomed at all and it gave a very exclusive vibe- like we were second class guests. Those who did housekeeping did a beautiful job. We have stayed at Vancouver’s downtown pinnacle where we received an incredible welcome, so this stay in Victoria stands in stark contrast in the worst way.

The hotel was very well located, so convenient to the inner harbour, shopping and restaurants! The best part about our stay was the excellent service provided by the staff! We were kind of high maintenance guests and the staff was very accommodating, friendly and professional!

Besides the excellent staff and attention to our needs, on heading to Vancouver we realized we left our passports in the hotel safe. We immediately contacted the hotel desk (Christine), and one other person (darned it, I can't remember her name). They were both extremely helpful and took care of us as if we were family. For such a small cost, they arranged to have the passports flown by seaplane to Vancouver to an office steps away from the hotel we stayed. We were both amazed at how easy they made this whole frightening process took, and how personable they were. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!! If either of them ever come to the San Francisco bay area, we'd love to take them out on the town!

The hotel is well situated a couple blocks from Government Street. The staff are excellent and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Only problem was we couldn’t get a blanket for my granddaughter who slept on the sectional with only a sheet on my bed. Otherwise this is a beautiful hotel and quite pleasant to stay there. Being Celiacs and the restaurant accommodate my diet. I would recommend this hotel.
