This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and have been pleased in both occasions. The rooms are large, clean, and very comfortable. Staff are helpful . The only thing which is a bit of an issue, is the number of parking spaces that are available at different times of the day, on their property. Having said that, the other night when nothing was vacant, they gave us a coupon to cover the cost of parking in a nearby lot. I would highly TW ommend Helm’s Inn.

Good value for the money. Very large room with full kitchen. Good water pressure in shower. Great location in heart of city and across from Beacon Hill Park. Cheap parking $10 compared to most local hotels. Pleasant staff. Brewed coffee/tea, apples and filtered water available in lobby. The inn is well taken care of and clean throughout. Only negative is this is an older building and there is a musty old house smell throughout. There were windows open everywhere and that helped. Would stay again.

Handy location. Easy walk to restaurants and activities in the downtown area. Stayed in a spacious suite with a full kitchen. Parking lot was well lit but can’t always get a spot if you get in late. Parking available in lot next door though. Will be arranged by the front desk.

Quick stay, tried to check in at midday but room wasnt available, but the staff were super friendly. Coffee for those weary travellers and laundery at $3 which takes about 40 mins for a wash and 35 mins to dry said wash. Centrally located, actually, a great location for getting around the park and the city centre.

Nice clean accommodation. Friendly staff. Well priced for the location. Only downside there are no elevators to upper floors which could be a challenge for some guests. Parking was a challenge on site both nights with the lot being very full. Have not had that issue there on previous stays so perhaps an anomaly. Overall a good choice for the downtown harbour location.

The room was clean and had a good mattress. The weather was pleasant so we sat in the courtyard each day. The hotel is getting a bit tired cosmetically but i wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend because of the location, excellent basic comfort and overall value.

There was a liquid spill/marks under the dining table when we first check in,the sofa wasn't really smells good and the bed, was really nicely made but doesn’t smell fresh.the room service came twice in our 4 days stay.we were in a suit room

The staff looked pleasant and ready to serve the guests.We made a lot of food comfortable in the kitchen and ate it. All the dishes were well-equipped and clean. The only regret was that there was a lot of dust on the microwave. This place is easy to see, but I don't know why it wasn't cleaned. The parking lot was a fee, but it was affordable, so there was no burden and it was convenient to use. I will definitely stay here if I visit Victoria again next time. My day here was very comfortable and comfortable.

I've stayed here twice now when I'm down in Victoria for work and it's the best value / best location during off season in Vic. Always clean, everything you need in the kitchen space, etc. It is definitely an older space, but it's been renovated and the only space that is lacking is the shower, I would say. There is definitely some visible pink mould / repairs to the grout lines needed.

The fresh fruit and coffee/tea station in reception was well received. Great recommendations for local restaurants and things to do. On the minus side were that 2 of our party had to ask to have their rooms cleaned and towels changed and the range hood filter in our room was so dirty that it had grease dripping from it. This was remedied as soon as I mentioned it but someone should be monitoring these things.

The room we were assigned was very dark, with minimal natural light. The condition of the bathroom was below average, and lots of items had been repaired not very well. Room was clean, and comfortable. Upstairs guests could be heard when moving around and when using taps or WC. Fee we had to pay for settling our account in a different currency was ridiculous, and to add insult they charged an additional 5% on top again,and amounted to over $180.00 extra. Be aware.

The room was very spacious! We enjoyed the large kitchen and living room, and that there was a separated bedroom area with the two double beds. The mini-balcony space was cute too, with some welcoming birds chirping away.

This hotel is in a good location - though a little loud due to its location on a semi busy street. Though the lobby and hallways look a little old-fashioned the room itself seemed updated and quite nice. I think all the rooms have kitchenettes, which is a convenient touch. Would stay again!

The room was large, clean and comfortable. The suite was well equipped. The hotel is older but nicely updated. The only downside was the soundproofing - if you need a very quiet room, this is not the place. But the location, comfort, size and affordability made up for the noise.

We had to move rooms due to construction/noise next to our room. (From Room 206 to 304). We were not given any notice of construction prior to check in. However, we did definitely enjoy our stay at Helms Inn. In addition, we were comped / refunded one night's stay due to the disruption of construction noise. We thank the staff and management for this generous compensation!!

We loved our stay at the Helms! Its perfectly located within walking distance of so many things! One direction, the ocean is a few blocks away. Another direction is the Marina/Downtown. Restaurants, groceries, everything you need at a convenient distance. Staff are wonderful, property was lovely!

Great location for access to downtown Victoria, beacon hill park and cook street village. A little noisy on the corner of a busy intersection but it was quiet at night. The hotel was accommodating when we had to cancel the first night of our stay due to an illness. Parking was an additional cost.

I liked the location of the hotel across from the park and close to downtown. However one should be aware that it’s also located on a very busy intersection with buses and trucks going by at all hours of the night. If you’re a deep sleeper or half deaf, then it should be no problem for you!

Quaint 2 story hotel renovated rooms with kitchenettes supplied with your needs and although no elevator, easy stairs to walk up. Next door to museum! You can walk to it no problem. Air conditioned too! Very tight parking area but they are well designated and in behind the hotel. There wasn’t a restaurant or breakfast there but the area has many anyway. It was a very reasonable price compared to other hotels in the area. It was a pleasant stay😊

Centered between the ferry and the town this location is a perfect stay! The rooms were cute kitchenette and the bedroom it was perfect for a family of 4. No breakfast but so many close places to eat! Loved this place

Positiv: - Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür (diese Kosten 10 CAD pro Nacht, aber man darf sogar bis nachmittags stehen bleiben) - alles fußläufig in Victoria erreichbar - das Personal war super freundlich - sehr sauber - kostenloser Kaffee und Tee Wenn man etwas Negatives finden möchte, ist es, dass das Hotel von der Aufmachung etwas altmodisch/in die Jahre gekommen ist.

I like the price and the full kitchen facilities. Not a whole lot of dishes but definitely adequate. Would prefer a non stick frying pan and one or two bowls for preparing food. Other than that excellent. Location is perfect for walking all around the harbour and areas surrounding harbour. Very clean. Nice updated bathroom.
