Entire check in was very quick and smooth but the only problem was the bed was infested by bed bugs. We didn’t notice at first but time passes we notice our skin has some bites and saw a couple of bed bugs on the bed. We reported it to the front desk but it seemed the front desk doesn’t take my complaint seriously.

We always stay at Confort Inns, this one needs a renovation. Beds are like sleeping on plywood, black stuff all over the floor and bathtub. Sliding glass doors do not lock, and they have another lock to cover this deficiency. Not happy.....

Air conditioner worked amazing, staff, room was clean, breakfast, hot water. However I barely got any sleep with one the beds are to hard on my back and two someone kept going in our out of there room so slamming doors right to 5:19 am. I finally gave up on sleep and got up.

Overall, despite it being an older property, I felt the Comfort Inn South was clean and comfortable. It is in convenient location on the south end of Winnipeg. The front desk clerk was friendly and efficient, including when I called to ask about how to turn the heat on. The check in process was easy. I did not take advantage of breakfast so I cannot comment on that. The only drawbacks were 1) the heating seemed to be either on or off. It did not have an automatic setting (at least that I could figure out) that turned off when a certain temperature was met and 2) my room was next to the stairs on the end of the building, which were accessed through a door. Every time someone used those stairs, the door would open and shut loudly, which I could hear in my room during the night. If I were to stay there again, I would request a room away from the stairs.

Just seemed like different rules at the 3 comfort inns that I had stayed in the past 3 days… 1st 1 didn’t ask even a deposit when i was a walk in with a pet only the pet fee 2nd 1 wanted $250 for deposit as I booked through expedia and pet fee which was all good and deposit returned to my debit the next morning and the 1 i’m in tonight wouldn’t except deposit or pet fee through debit credit card only……

She was kind enough to check and accommodate us. We’re happy to stay 2 nights here. The housekeeper did a great job keeping room clean :) Breakfast was fantastic. Stay here if you visit Winnipeg. We walked in to check in and I was told they moved our room to another hotel. The gentleman told me just up the road on the left. So we got back in the car and drove “up the road”, after driving 15 minutes I called him back to make sure he gave me the right directions. He said yes it’s at the Quality Inn up by Grant Avenue. Well it was certainly up the road. Likely close to 14 km of city driving to get there. Would have been very courteous of hotel to email/text/call to notify us, at the very least. We had already done 30 minutes of driving out of the downtown area to go around perimeter of Winnipeg to reach the Comfort Inn. We planned to be at our hotel for 3pm, which would have enabled us to relax and get ourselves ready for our event. We didn’t arrive at the new hotel until nearly an hour later, we were in rush hour traffic, as well as road construction congestions. All of this caused us to be late for the event we were attending, and we missed the first act at the live music event that we spent $700 to attend. To say dissatisfied is an understatement. We are in the age of easy communication and getting notified would most certainly have made this entire experience very very different.

I was very disappointed that the front desk refused to give me a receipt of payment on checking out. They stated that the receipt would have to come from the app through which the stay was booked even though the attendant had already printed off a copy of the receipt. That receipt has yet to arrive but there have been TWO requests for a review of our stay.

During our visit, the heat was not working properly throughout the night. It was extremely hot and didn’t have the capability to change it. It was extremely noisy. We stay in hotels often, and I’ve never had to deal with this amount of noise. We did complain, but there was no response or change to the noise. A little bit of noise is normal, but this was excessive. Since then I’ve been trying to get a hold of the hotel, but keep getting disconnected before being able to speak with someone. This is extremely frustrating and I’m unhappy with my stay and the inability to contact anyone in customer service.

I stayed at this hotel for three (3) nights while I was in Winnipeg. I found this hotel’s staff members to be friendly. Downtown Winnipeg was about twenty (20) minutes away. This hotel’s breakfast was very tasty, and its breakfast would consist of foods, like: bagels, muffins, eggs, apples, pancakes, and waffles. This hotels had plenty of parking on its premises. This hotel’s wi-fi, television, hot water, and air conditioning all worked fine. I was somewhat surprised and nervous to see several security guards stationed throughout this hotel’s property, but I felt safe while I stayed here. There was no gym nor any pool at this hotel. While the housekeeper came to my room before my third (3rd) night, I was unaware that I had to request this type of service from the front desk agent, and I wish that such an instruction was communicated to me when I checked-in on my first (1st) night. Most hotels just offer a daily housekeeper visit unless a do not disturb sign is posted on a person’s door.

The room rented was pleasant looking and clean, along with the bathroom. The TVs were a decent size compared to other hotels. The staff were very professional and helpful, too. The breakfast was good enough, it was included in the price of the room so it’ll do. Hopefully they can upgrade their breakfast and its dining area in the future.
