The hotel was decent. The bed was comfortable and we were able to get a double sized bed in our room. There is a lot of construction going on in the surrounding area, which started at 7am on a weekday. The hotel breakfast was very crowded and pretty hectic. We were able to get parking in the below garage for $30 CHF which was very convenient.

Hotel ist gut gelegen und Preis-Leistung wäre eigentlich gegeben. Ich frage mich jedoch ob sich in diesem Hotel überhaupt jemand um den Unterhalt kümmert! Teppiche stinken schon beim Eintreten in den Lift und auf den Stockwerken. Fugen in der Dusche total verschimmelt und vieles ist einem wirklich schlechten Zustand (ein Auswahl der Schäden bei den Fotos). Elektrische Installationen sind m.E. sogar "brand"-gefährlich. Bin mir nicht sicher, ob das den Normen entspricht. In der Schweiz erwarte ich einen besseren Standard, auch für diesen Preis.

Hotel was expensive but horrible. There was no air conditioning, so we left the windows open all night and could not sleep because of the heat and drunk people yelling outside. The bed was some kind of foam so if go to the edge you roll off onto the floor. The floor was covered with a thin felt instead of carpet. The fan and coffee machine were broken. There was mold on the shower curtain. The breakfast was average.

Das Hotel ist nicht gut geheizt. Man friert überall. Im Frühstücksraum ist ständig ein Fenster offen. Die Badezimmer sind veraltet und haben Schimmel. Es wird nicht richtig sauber gemacht. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend, mehr nicht. In unserem Zimmer könnte man das Fenster nicht öffnen. Ein Tausch des Zimmers hat nichts gebracht.

There was dust on the desk, the shower and sink drained very slow and the shower curtain was stained beyond its useful years. The room was very dark - with little lighting available. Hotel very close to the main railway station. Very convenient to easily access the city centre. The room was comfortable, however there was substantial amount of mould at the shower (room 502), there were stains on the table, and windows were not clean. Breakfast was acceptable and staff were trying their hardest. Reception staff were not available in the morning to check out nor the electronic system working for this function. I will recommend it for short stay if the hygienic aspect will improve.!

Hated online check in, goes against hospitality values. Breakfast food was very good but chaotic: tables were messy for a long time/ guests cleaned their own tables. This was because of lack of staff. The staff were too stretched to keep food & juices stocked up, bring out clean crockery & clean up tables. Stay was comfortable, breakfast buffet had many options but they really should give one of employee that serves breakfast some hospitality one on one. We where getting breakfast when all of the sudden this lady starts raising her voice at us, and basically fighting with us because the lid of the breads is closed. She did this 2 times... funny thing? We hadn't even touched the bread area, it wasn't us thay left it open but she was just plain pissed because the lid was being closed. Not even a good morning.... directly ro raising her voice at 7am.... Overall good stay, just beware of closing the bread lid, because you will be reprimanded.

Hated the lack of staff and forced online checkin policy. There ie a word for labor withount pay. One floater at check in. No one at check out. Gave me the room next to the elevator. Maid knocked in early am because no dnd sign. Nosy street below. Window was semi off its hinge. They made it seem like bfast was inclded. It looked weak so i didnt ask further. Tv was large. You can walk in the station for almost the whole way there. Look for museum side and go left. Still the best value i could find near the station.

This was a great option. The breakfast daily was fantastic, I loved the coffee machine. The location was excellent, walkable distance to the city. The staff was nice. The receptionist on checkin in gave us the first available room 1hr beforehand. She saw the tiredness in our eyes and helped as best she could. Kudos to her. The only issue with the room was no ac just fan. Not sure if this is normal in Zurich. But to be honest it really didnt bother us. Will surely recommend here for the price.

The hotel is close to the train station,tram, groceries and restaurant. They have buffet breakfast everyday. But one day of my stay, the kitchen staff got upset that i was holding the wrong cup in front of the coffee machine. They run out of cups at that time. He could have said nicely. Also, In case you’re travelling in the summer here in zurich, this hotel does not have air conditioning. But they do provide electric fan . They have concierge there but they want you to check in and out online.

They were to send me an email 24 hours before arrival with the confirmation number I needed to checkin. I tried contacting them several times and Expedia ended up contacting them so I got the number on the morning of my checkin. They said someone was available 24/7 to assist at checkin but the desk was empty more that someone was there. The location was convenient.

Hotel Montana is quite close to the train station and walkable to old town, that is why we picked it. It was not the nicest neighborhood. The young lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. There was no AC and the fan provided didn’t do much. The breakfast was quite good.

Hotel Montana Zürich is a 5-6 minute walk from the Zurich Railway station. Easy to find. We finished the check-in online earlier and got the QR Code to scan. If we have the QR Code, then scan it on the display near the front desk and we can get the key from the machine. Even if not, the front desk will provide it. The staff were amiable and helpful. The room was good. The bed was comfy. Enough storage space as well. The washroom was spacious and clean overall but there was a little bit of "MOLD" on the corners of the shower area. Yes, it is a concern if it is left untreated. It was only a little when I stayed, but if unnoticed, then it would be a concern for sure. There was no AC in the room, window could be opened. In the morning, they have an excellent breakfast, which is worth it. So many options. Overall, it was a pretty decent stay.

A localização é excelente. Ao lado da estação principal de trem e ao lado da estação de ônibus de onde sai as excursões. Local repleto de restaurantes e próximo da rua principal. Overall we had a good stay at this hotel, the room was clean and comfortable, it was a bit smaller than some of the other rooms we had stayed in but it was in a major town so that was to be expected. The room was supposed to have a kettle however the base plate was there but not the kettle. My husband mentioned this at reception (we didn't want them to think we had taken it) and was told that was because we had a coffee machine however we didn't. When we told the guy on reception he said we will get one left in your room. When we returned there was no kettle there. It wasn't an issue as we carry one with us but it just didn't sit well. On the plus side the breakfast here was fantastic, plenty of choice to suit every taste. The shower was good and the bed was comfortable. The location was also perfect for our needs very close to the train station and trams also central to Zurich town. I would recommend staying here, particularly if traveling by train.

This hotel is great! I only stayed in Zurich for 15 hours in transit, but I wanted to stay longer. The bed was a little small, but it was very clean and nice. What was even better was the breakfast. It felt like a typical European morning meal. I'll miss the croissants, coffee and milk. From now on. I'm very satisfied with this wonderful hotel.

The hotel is within walking distance from the main station, and you can store your luggage for free until check-in. The breakfast was exceptional (really!). Our room needed some work (the ventilation system was not working and the shower was leaking). Yet, we were only there for one night, so it was absolutely fine. Staff friendly and helpful. Have I mentioned the breakfast? Wow.
