The lobby is very small. Did not take breakfast offer (CHF22 a person a day) and glad we didn't. We saw that it was only a small sampling of cold cuts, breads, cereal and some coffee; certainly not worth what they were asking. There is no ramp to facilitate rolling luggage; one has to negotiate several steps by the front door which is also large, heavy making arriving departing customers struggle. The staff though were incredibly nice and pleasant with warm smiles and greeted us every time we walked by. Elevators in these old buildings are typically small; this one was no exception, though it was entirely made of glass walls so remained quite nice looking as the floors passing by while riding it. I didn't care for the dark scheme of wall paint and the large black and white portraits of old dead historic figures gave a feeling of creepiness. We stayed in room 505 (there were eleven rooms on our floor) with enough space for 3. The room was painted yellow with a wild flower print scheme. The shower was a glass wall enclosed tub without safety rails so it would be dangerous for seniors. The fridge and air conditioning didn't really cool, and there was no mini bar in the room. Bathroom was not well lit and lights in the room were positioned too low, making it hard to view anything. The bedside cabinets were made to look like stacked pieces of chocolate but didn't offer any drawers and were about as useful as treestumps. Great location but I doubt I would choose it again.

Wonderful stay! Very clean, modern, and convenient location to restaurants, shops, and transportation. Starbucks is just a few steps away. Sam was very welcoming and was very kind to let me check in early at no cost. Thank you Sam! The chocolate fountain at the reception is a nice touch!

The welcome I got at the Reception was particularly exceptional. Stayed there the second time, and discovered that it used to be a cinema theatre! The hall's still there, being used as the luggage storage... Great place and the chocolate fountain and the chocolate-themed design are special features :)

Auch das Badezimmer ist nichts für fülligere Personen, da es ziemlich eng geschnitten ist. Das Hotelzimmer verfügt über einen funktionierenden Kühlschrank und bietet eine kleine Kaffee und Teeauswahl. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung. Es gab verschiedene Käsesorten, mehrere Sorten Konfitüre, eine kleine Wurstauswahl. Es gab viele Toppings fürs Müsli und auf Nachfrage habe ich eine Alternative zu Milch erhalten. Der Schokobrunnen im Eingangsbereich/Frühstücksberch läuft den ganzen Tag. Das Hotel zieht das Motto Schokolade komplett durch, was sehr cool ist.

It was pretty horrible!!! The reception area was so small a dthe elevator so small, my scooter wouldnot fit. I had tl stay at another hotel further from the train station. They also had steps to get i to reception. Not mentioned on the reservation and not good for disabled people.

small but fine, its only 3 stars hotel, i didn’t expect too much, but in the room of this hotel is better than 3 stars. it has everything like 5 stars in the room. Iron, ironing board, water boiler, safe box, wall usb charger, hair dryer. only one problem in the room was the drain in shower room. the most disruption is breakfast room.

Very solid hotel, clean and great location. Beds are comfortable as well and the property overall is in great condition, looks relatively new. My only complaint, a small one, would be more lighting in the bathroom. It’s kinda dim in there. Otherwise, great place for the rate.

We stayed 3 nights in Zurich. The location is great, 5 mins walk from the rail station and the many highlights of the city. The check in was very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable although slightly on the small side. The next day we enquired about the lake cruise and the receptionist (Catia?) was very helpful, always cheerful. We had a very pleasant stay, the chocolate fountain was a bonus :)

This is a very nice property with a great location, located in the Old City. It is a short walk to the rail station. The room is clean and very functional without a lot of space. The check in/check out process was efficient and professional. I feel like the property is a good value and would not hesitate to stay again.

Our stay in your hotel is memorable because of the courteous , and friendly receptionists . The service is excellent. Our daughter is very much delighted of the choco fountain that greeted us upon arrival. Our stay is almost perfect except that there were still used towels in the bathroom from the previous guests. The room is not well cleaned especially the bathroom floor and the lamps on the bedside. We hope the housekeeping area will improve their standard and not overlook the cleanliness. Nevertheless, our stay was memorable and we‘re looking forward to come back again. Thank you Swiss Chocolate Hotel.

Good location, clean. But The room was very tiny. It was supposed to be a business room, but you could pull the chair away from the desk and sit on it as the bed is so close. The desk is so narrow that the laptop doesn't fit on it. No Aircon, the fan hardly works. The bathroom is so small your feet are in the shower when you are on the toilet.

It is a good budget friendly hotel in a great location near the Zurich HB, shops and restaurants. The bed was ok. The shower was the smallest i have ever used. I am 5'9" , 175# and it was really tight. If i dropped the soap i couldn't pick it up, there was simply no room. I don't know if i was the lucky one or if the other rooms also have tiny showers.

We really enjoyed our stay. Location is fantastic. Staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy. The room was very clean. My only suggestions would be to provide some drawer space (for example, a working night table rather than the decorative one) and have firmer pillows available.

Great Location, numerous eating options right in the heart of old town and less than a 10 minute walk to the Banhof! Very safe area as well. Room was clean, European spartan, but everything you need. Check-In/Check-Out was very simple.

Close to Zurich main station and in a good location otherwise rooms are small and staff was terrible. AC was not working.Would not stay there again especially for the price paid.
Close to Zurich main station and in a good location otherwise rooms are small and staff was terrible. AC was not working.Would not stay there again especially for the price paid.

Wonderful stay! Very clean, modern, and convenient location to restaurants, shops, and transportation. Starbucks is just a few steps away. Sam was very welcoming and was very kind to let me check in early at no cost. Thank you Sam! The chocolate fountain at the reception is a nice touch!

The welcome I got at the Reception was particularly exceptional. Stayed there the second time, and discovered that it used to be a cinema theatre! The hall's still there, being used as the luggage storage... Great place and the chocolate fountain and the chocolate-themed design are special features :)

We really enjoyed our stay. Location is fantastic. Staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy. The room was very clean. My only suggestions would be to provide some drawer space (for example, a working night table rather than the decorative one) and have firmer pillows available.

Great Location, numerous eating options right in the heart of old town and less than a 10 minute walk to the Banhof! Very safe area as well. Room was clean, European spartan, but everything you need. Check-In/Check-Out was very simple.

This is a very nice property with a great location, located in the Old City. It is a short walk to the rail station. The room is clean and very functional without a lot of space. The check in/check out process was efficient and professional. I feel like the property is a good value and would not hesitate to stay again.

The lobby is very small. Did not take breakfast offer (CHF22 a person a day) and glad we didn't. We saw that it was only a small sampling of cold cuts, breads, cereal and some coffee; certainly not worth what they were asking. There is no ramp to facilitate rolling luggage; one has to negotiate several steps by the front door which is also large, heavy making arriving departing customers struggle. The staff though were incredibly nice and pleasant with warm smiles and greeted us every time we walked by. Elevators in these old buildings are typically small; this one was no exception, though it was entirely made of glass walls so remained quite nice looking as the floors passing by while riding it. I didn't care for the dark scheme of wall paint and the large black and white portraits of old dead historic figures gave a feeling of creepiness. We stayed in room 505 (there were eleven rooms on our floor) with enough space for 3. The room was painted yellow with a wild flower print scheme. The shower was a glass wall enclosed tub without safety rails so it would be dangerous for seniors. The fridge and air conditioning didn't really cool, and there was no mini bar in the room. Bathroom was not well lit and lights in the room were positioned too low, making it hard to view anything. The bedside cabinets were made to look like stacked pieces of chocolate but didn't offer any drawers and were about as useful as treestumps. Great location but I doubt I would choose it again.

Auch das Badezimmer ist nichts für fülligere Personen, da es ziemlich eng geschnitten ist. Das Hotelzimmer verfügt über einen funktionierenden Kühlschrank und bietet eine kleine Kaffee und Teeauswahl. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung. Es gab verschiedene Käsesorten, mehrere Sorten Konfitüre, eine kleine Wurstauswahl. Es gab viele Toppings fürs Müsli und auf Nachfrage habe ich eine Alternative zu Milch erhalten. Der Schokobrunnen im Eingangsbereich/Frühstücksberch läuft den ganzen Tag. Das Hotel zieht das Motto Schokolade komplett durch, was sehr cool ist.

If you are looking to be where young and hip folks are and where different eateries are, this is the place for you! The vibe of the hotel is very cool and I liked that there was a reasonable priced breakfast available in the morning. Zurich is expensive, but this cute hotel is not--big thanks!

small but fine, its only 3 stars hotel, i didn’t expect too much, but in the room of this hotel is better than 3 stars. it has everything like 5 stars in the room. Iron, ironing board, water boiler, safe box, wall usb charger, hair dryer. only one problem in the room was the drain in shower room. the most disruption is breakfast room.

Good location, clean. But The room was very tiny. It was supposed to be a business room, but you could pull the chair away from the desk and sit on it as the bed is so close. The desk is so narrow that the laptop doesn't fit on it. No Aircon, the fan hardly works. The bathroom is so small your feet are in the shower when you are on the toilet.
