Fred Hotel Hauptbahnhof

Good small room with two separate small beds up against the wall. I stayed in the guest floor top floor. The Room has AC which very rare in this area near Zurich HB. Zurich HB is literally half a block away. shower and bath is actually rather large for the room. Shower is particularly roomy with good water pressure. Bed was comfy with one pillow each. Elevator is small. Two adults or 1 adult with a big suitcase. Overall if i had to spend a night near the train station for an early train that i can't miss, i would stay here again. BTW parking at the guest house is like 2 spots in an alley next to it. Itll likely be full. HERTZ rental is 1 block away.

This economy hotel is great for an overnight or single-night traveler who needs to be near the main station (Hauptbahnhof). It's literally located around the corner (one block) from the train station. The room was clean and the basic furnishings included everything a traveler would typically require. The breakfast in the main hotel (one block away) was very good, with lots of food and drink choices. The hotel is meant to be "self-serve" (keyless check-in and entry using your mobile phone and/or their app), so our only interactions with staff were during breakfast, and they were great. It's comfortable, with a decent self-serve coffee machine in the lobby. Good WiFi. All good!

My friend and I loved our stay here. The property was very clean, they offered complimentary coffee at every corner on each floor (it was self serve). The bed was super comfy and the location is perfect for travelers. It’s right next the the train station and there’s also a tram stop right across the street so it’s was extremely easy to get around Zürich!

3 kişilik odada konakladık. 3 saat erken gitmemize rağmen ücretsiz şekilde erken giriş yapabildik. Görevliler yardımsever ve güler yüzlüydü. Oda bakımlı ve çok temizdi, kahvaltı yeterliydi, otelin konumu mükemmeldi. Odada su ısıtıcısı yoktu, kat koridorunda kahve makinesi vardı. Ancak, klima gürültülü çalışıyordu ve odada buzdolabı yoktu.

todo excelente, excepto porque no cuenta con estacionamiento propio. Te proponen estaciones tu auto en un lugar alternativo con una tarifa preferencial. Pero el costo de estacionamiento debiera de estar incluido en la tarifa.

the location is best, mins from train station, grocery shop is next to the hotel, make it easy if need some juice or fruits. The room is space, offer free coffee and hot water which is very improtant to me. the breakfast we paid for, I think worth the money.

Super próximo a Estação Central. Tranquilo p chegar no aeroporto. Supermercados próximos. Amenidades como café nos corredores. Água no quarto. Café da manhã variado e bem servido.

Hotel muito bem localizado e de fácil acesso aos pontos turísticos de Zurique. Possui uma equipe muito atenciosa e disponibiliza máquinas de cafés e chás em todos os andares. Proximo a ele tem um estacionamento de fácil acesso. Com certeza recomendamos esse hotel para outros viajantes. ;-)

チェックイン前に荷物を預けたところ、もう清掃が終わっているからと、早めにチェックインさせてもらえてありがたかった。 朝食もおいしかった。 部屋にエアコンがついていたので、暑い夏でも快適に過ごせた。 ゲストハウスタイプなので、本館より少し部屋が狭いのは承知の上。 入り口からエレベーターまでの道が階段しかないのが、少しだけ不便だった。

Love this hotel! Location is perfect which is near the train station . Room is immaculate , breakfast is good and staff are top notch :) Best customer service all around . So happy I decided on this hotel . Book here and you won’t be disappointed .

Rooms were very small -- but everything else was superb. Very clean, comfortable, accessible, friendly staff, fine breafkast, and right next to the tram and hauptbanhof. Could get a little noisy at night if the window is open, but a small price to pay all things considered... I would stay again for sure!

This is one of the cleanest hotels that we have ever stayed in. Staff very friendly, breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice. We just had to ask for extra pillows as we only had one each.

Very happy with our stay. Hotel staff hardworking and professional. Rooms were tidy and beds were comfortable. Location extremely convenient to main train station. Everything worked in the room-hot water, hair dryer, climate control, internet WiFi and tv remote.

When we checked in, we were told we booked room at guest house that didn’t have an air conditioner. Then we paid more to stay at the hotel instead of guest house. When we got there, there were bugs and our 14 year old had to sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed. We were scared of going to sleep with the bugs. The worst part= After we checked out next morning, i told hotel about the bugs and they didn’t care. This was actually the most expensive hotel we stayed at and the least comfortable.

Truly like the hotel. The room was very r spacious with a large bathroom and perfectly working air conditioners. The hotel is nice a close to the train station, but about 1 mile from places to see and shop. It is difficult to find the hotel, and you need to walk through the train station to get to it, but we made it work

Hotel is adequate for a quick stay over. Rooms are tiny and bathroom is reminiscent of a cruise ship. Clean and comfortable, no air conditioning but a decent fan.

The room for one was about as basic as it gets but included a private bathroom. Breakfast buffet was quite good, and there was free coffee available around the clock in the lobby and on each floor. The location was superb, on the bank of the Sihl and a two-minute walk from Zurich Central Station. In hot weather, the powerful air-conditioning system was greatly appreciated.

This is a super clean facility very close to the train station and old town. The room was very large by European standards. Checking in electronically was fast and easy. And the bathroom was large and had a fabulous shower. Would definitely stay here again.

Friendly, helpful staff! The rooms are small, we were referring to them as our dorm rooms😄, but they are clean and comfortable. We were very happy with our overnight stay. The breakfast was nice and had good options. I eat a continental breakfast typically so I wasn’t In need of pancakes or omelets. The train station is maybe five minutes away and the old town a pleasant walk. Very close to the Swiss History museum and Kunsthaus.

Very clean and well kept. I booked a single small room (not sure how big of a room you can get). The room was fine - it is very small, smaller than a cabin on a cruise ship. Everything in the room was operational and ‘like new’. Air conditioning was wonderful! Great location near the train and bus station.

Very basic room. Felt more like a hostel than a hotel, but it was good overall. The only really negative was that there was no coffee or fridge in the room. It was out in the hallway and that too the coffee machine was not working in the hallway. Overall though it was a good and decent place.

호텔은 매우 깨끗하고 시내에있어 위치도 좋습니다. 1층에 스타벅스도 있고 옆건물에 마트도있어요~ 다좋은데 냉장고가없어서 별하나뺐습니다. 어디든 그렇지만 방음은 취약한편이어서 너무 예민하다면 다른곳을 찾아야 합니다. 저는 무난한편이라 숙면했습니다.

Amazing staff, had a wonderful experience.

The people at the reception were cold and borderline rude (typical German/swiss). The room did not look anything like the online pictures when we made our reservation. The bathrooms are tiny, and if you have a 3rd person in your room, they are better off getting their own room as our room had a pull out sofa which was hard and uncomfortable.

위치가 너무 좋고, 1층에 레스토랑&스타벅스가 있어요. 외곽지로 투어 계획 있다면 무조건 추천!!! 투어 버스 타는 곳이 바~~~로 앞이라서 아침에 정말 여유있게 챙길 수 있어요. 그리고 직원 분들 너무 친절해요 특히 Mark und Toni !! 너무 친절하고 편하게 해주셔서 좋았어요 취리히에서 정말 좋은 추억 만들고 가요 ❤️

Great stay, was away from the hustle and bustle - they have an easy on-line check in service, no keys needed unless you want one. Clean and friendly staff.

Pour quelques euros de plus, on aurait pu séjourné en centre ville dans un hôtel avec une réception. Tout est automatisé et on ouvre la porte avec son portable. Tout a bien fonctionné pour nous mais cela génère du stress surtout que ce n'était pas annoncé. Lobby en travaux. On n'a vu personne sauf les ouvriers.

Staff was helpful every time I had a question

The Fred Guest House was a one-night stay so that we could be conveniently at the Zurich Bahnhof Train Station the next morning to conveniently take the train to the airport. As such, my wife and I chose an inexpensive (for Switzerland), no-frills hotel. The check-in process was all electronic and done in advance. This should have been convenient, but there were odd issues with verifying my personal information and with the web page itself that required multiple attempts. Once checked in, we received an electronic key to be activated by phone off their web page. The absence of any physical key might be complicated for some, and even unlocking some doors required patience. Our actual room was really tiny, with barely any space to lay anything out. There was no desk, only a small night stand on one side, and a small open cabinet at the corner. There was no air conditioning, though a floor fan was somewhat useful in providing circulation. Our room also faced the street, so we were able to cool the room by opening the window. The bathroom was also tiny, with nowhere to really place any clothes or belongings. If we were staying for more than one night, this would have been a very frustrating place of lodging. But as it was only one night, we just made do. I'd recommend this place for anyone trying to be as frugal as possible while staying in a central and convenient area. But the room itself is really quite constricted, and multiple days would be tough for many.

Had a wonderful stay. We can’t open the door when we got to the hotel. A worker directed us to another building and given a bigger room ( no extra charge). The following day, another worker was extremely helpful in giving us directions ( short cut) to the train station. Very clean. Friendly staff. Coffee/tea/ hot water available at no charge.

I loved this hotel, stayed 5 nights and had a problem the last night which was handled with kindness. If I go back to Zurich I will stay there again. Breakfast was good, housekeeping was good, location perfect and good restaurants everywhere. Front desk was always helpful.

Perfect for convenience to Zürich HBF—literally a 30 second walk to track 18 and entrance to the station concourse. The neighborhood is fine and requires only a 15 minute walk to the main restaurant and shopping streets in town. The rooms are small and basic, but also new and very clean. Great value for the price, especially because we selected the property for access to the trains.

Excellent location near the Banhof, shops and Old Town. Very clean and quiet room. Great water pressure ! Was very nice that Serge remembered us too !

Great location to the main train station and meeting point for the tours we had booked. Also right across the street from the Flixbus stop.

Simple, clean room. Conveniently located near Central Train Station in Zurich. Also very close to the bus station making catching tour buses very easy. The neighborhood was pretty loud at night on the weekends due to merrymakers - made sleep a bit difficult until it died down.

Wonderful stay in Fred! It’s close proximity to the Zurich HB makes everything easy and convenient. There is also a tram station right at the hotel door step. Hotel breakfast is decent and good. Comfy bed and clean rooms. We have chosen Fred when we flew in to zurich and once again, when we flew our from zurich.

Right next to train station in a not so nice area. The room and bathroom was very small. A lot of construction and noise around the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Near to train station. Convenient to take the train to any other cities for sight seeing. Many restaurants nearby and also have big supermarkets. The breakfast was a let down. Not worth paying for the breakfast.

Lovely modern room located steps from the train station and various museums and attractions and central to several tram lines. Concierge was very helpful at recommending places to eat and things to do. Great breakfast with breads, meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs, and hot and cold cereals, juice, coffees, etc..

An ok place but incredibly small and noisy. Self checkin via email only. $25 breakfast is down the street at another hotel. Given how expensive Zurich is the place is ok in that its a 5 min walk from the train station
