First of all, Pan Pac Suzhou (吴宫) is definitely worth the price. The scenery within the hotel premise is really fantastic, tranquil and serene. Makes you feel like you just stepped into a majestic chinese mansion. Breakfast buffet was so super good ! We had lunch at the Haitianlo restaurant, the food was very nice and affordable! There is a laundry room at lvl 1 with free washer dryer and detergent, laundry bags were provided too. The indoor pool was heated and there was a lifeguard on duty. Our room was at the XiXiaLou side. The hotel staff were very ftiendly and helpful, doorman was also very helpful! I would definitely return here if I come to Suzhou again. Would recommend to friends and family too.

This is my first trip with my mother. I chose this hotel because I liked 5-stars . The temperature in the room for three days was 27 degrees. I tried to adjust the air conditioner without any improvement, so that it was difficult to sleep at night. Finally, when I tried to check the air conditioner, The inside was really dirty, and it was so full of dust that the cold wind could no longer blow out. It is hard to imagine what kind of air we are breathing these days. This is a completely unacceptable situation. Due to the tight schedule, we cannot complain at that time, but I will keep following up, hoping that the situation will change.

booked pan pac suzhou to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. the staff prepared a whole cake with candles, disposable plates, and a birthday crown for us enjoy. the entire hotel summarises the suzhou experience you will have. even if you are unable to make it to the popular touristy spots, you have a pagoda and secret garden exclusive for hotel guests right at your door. the location will take you slightly longer to reach the main area of suzhou due to the traffic. however, if you are looking for quiet sanctuary with everything you need, then this is is the hotel for you. the hospitality is excellent and pan pac suzhou looks like a museum by itself. they have a very detailed map to help tourists plan their trip around suzhou as well. little downside: the walls of the hotel room is thin (as is most hotels in china). but that shouldn't deter you from booking at all. you will not regret staying here!

Hotel staff are very nice and helpful even though there are only few who speak English. I inquired about private transportation service to Hangzhou. The young man (I should have asked for his name) got my info, and later came to my room and confirmed the booking. Great service! Minus one star for this rating is the room soundproof is very poor. We can hear everything in the hallway; people talk loud and run around late at night, and we hear it all.

Location is great. The problems I experienced and ran into: 1. There are co-op students helping out at the breakfast buffet area. Many were eager to learn and help with the exception of this one girl, her expression and body language shows that she doesn't want to be there. I saw her picking her nose, putting her finger in her mouth and subsequently placing her hands in a basket full of chopsticks and rolling them. 2. There's limited dinning around/outside of the hotel. 3. The local ride sharing drivers and/taxi doesn't know where to go when they come or drop off guests...there's two main entrance to this hotel...confusing the drivers.

Lovely room and all very clean. Enormous hotel. Chinese owned and run with mainly Chinese guests. Friendly staff. Next to gorgeous scenic area with 1800 year-old pagoda. The negatives: common areas smelled of cigarettes; no room service and restaurants deserted by 7.30pm with quite ordinary food; foreign credit cards and Alipay using foreign cards not accepted so had to use cash; not particularly convenient for the sights.

An excellent property with attentive staff. My family enjoyed an excellent brunch at the brasserie and dinner at Hai Tien Lo restaurant. The surrounding Pan Men scenic area at night was particularly spectacular. We felt like we had it to ourselves.
