We had a wonderful stay in Hotel Memphis. Everything in the hotel was great. Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely terrace. The breakfast was tasety and as advertised. The reception and checkin went smoothly. The staff at the front desk, the kitchen and cleaning staff were all helpful and friendly. The location in central Rome was perfect.

Location, location, location! Walkable to all of the major sites! And the added benefits of 24 hour staffed reception desk, reliable elevator, light breakfast daily, and quite rooms. What more could a weary traveller want? I can't wait to go again!

We had a wonderful stay in Hotel Memphis. Everything in the hotel was great. Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely terrace. The breakfast was tasety and as advertised. The hotel room was a closet and we could barely fit our suitcases in it. The location itself was close to a lot of landmarks, however my friend and I had to walk almost 20 min with our suitcases just to get to the place so it’s not super convenient. The breakfast was not the best and the hotel itself looked a bit run down and outdated. Luckily I was only there for two days so it was fine, but if you’re staying for more than that, then I would suggest going somewhere else.

Despite the perfect location and a very good breakfast, the room was poorly maintained and on the last evening the toilet mechanism broke. We received inappropriate and angry treatment from the receptionist and had to stay that night in a room without a toilet!!! We got another room for just the two of us (there were 3 of us) and in this room too the toilet button didn't work, a burnt out light bulb and water leaking from the towel warmer. Very poor maintenance. We didn't ask for compensation and the staff didn't offer compensation, but we left with bad feelings and very disappointed !
Despite the perfect location and a very good breakfast, the room was poorly maintained and on the last evening the toilet mechanism broke. Wi-fi virker upåklageligt, der er varmt vand i hanerne, toiletartikler fyldes op dagligt, ligesom håndklæder skiftes dagligt. Morgenmadslokalet er småt, men der er et fint udvalg af produkter. Typisk italiensk. Alt er rent og pænt. Personalet er rare, hjælpsomme og imødekommende. Vi ankom lidt tidligt i forhold til check-in, men fik lov til at sætte bagagen af, kom tilbage en time senere, hvor værelset var klargjort. Der tales engelsk.

This hotel is documented as a 4 star hotel but in reality its a 3 star. The staff are very friendly and helpful and no complaints regarding those. The hotel itself could do with a freshen up/modernising, we stayed in room 107 which was a classic double, the room was tidy with tv on the wall, sky box balanced on top half against the wall and half behind which looked messy, the room just needs modernising to be a 4 star hotel as furniture looks like they have been there since the 90's. The bathroom again needs bringing up to date, there were some mosiac tiles missing from around the shower controls, the sealant around the shower was coming away and it looked as if other parts of the sealant had been bodged together, a hook at the side of the door into the bathroom had been removed and some gaffer tape just put over the gap. Not what should be in a 4 star hotel.The wall under the desk looked like itd seen better days. Cleaners made up the room daily and changed towels and replenished the toiletries provided. Unfortunately our room was right at the end of a corridor where the cleaners access all their stuff so were awoken early in the morning by banging cupboards or them talking to one another loudly. The breakfast included was ok and basic with minimal warm food, nothing to write home about. The location though is absolutely perfect for accessing trevi fountain, collosseum and spanish steps and the main shopping road.

The staff was very helpful. They set up private car rides from the port to the hotel, and from the hotel to the airport very, very early in the am. They even packed us breakfasts to go. The only complaint was that we could smell cigarette smoke in our room the second night.. Thinking from the vents in another room. First night was great.

Be ready to hear your neighbors breath, paper thin walls, I had the “pleasure” of having a couple next to my room who loved to slam doors and be loud when talking. I went to the front desk to ask if there was anything to do because I woke several times due to noise. She told me basically it is what it is and that she can’t do nothing. Fun times. The place is very well located though.

Nice hotel in the heart of Rome. Everything was within walking distance from the hotel, 5-10 min to Trevi fountain and same to the Spanish steps for example. Staff was nice and helpful. Room was comfortable, quiet and clean. Only thing lacking was the wifi it was open the everyone and quite slow.

I did not like the associate at the breakfast buffet. She was constantly looking at what I was eating and I heard her make some bad comments in Italian, which by the way I speak Italian. I did notice that she was looking at everything everyone was taking, which is not right because we did pay for breakfast included.

We had a great experience at the Hotel Memphis. We arrived earlier than check-in time after flying in from Boston on an overnight flight. We were able to check in early and enjoy our day in Rome on the day of the Pope's funeral. The location was in town and close to many attractions. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast and an easy check out. I would highly recommend Hotel Memphis!

Hotel Memphis is ideally located and serves as a fantastic base for exploring the city center of Rome. The breakfast is extensive, especially when it comes to the Italian "dolci," and the service is personal and very friendly. The rooms are spacious, clean, and soundproof. The staff was very helpful. They set up private car rides from the port to the hotel, and from the hotel to the airport very, very early in the am. They even packed us breakfasts to go. The only complaint was that we could smell cigarette smoke in our room the second night.. Thinking from the vents in another room. First night was great.

Christina is the main reason that we stayed there this trip. I travel almost every week and stay in great hotels. The way that Christina made us feel at home last time is the reason we came back here. we stayed at the Intercontinental Paris which is a 5 Star and she was better by herself than the entire staff combined at the IC Paris. She even found me a hot shave and laundry facility and worked harder than other highly rated concierges. The hotel is not a 5 star but it is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful and in a fantastic location for Rome. I will stay here again!!

Nice hotel in the heart of Rome. Everything was within walking distance from the hotel, 5-10 min to Trevi fountain and same to the Spanish steps for example. Staff was nice and helpful. Room was comfortable, quiet and clean. Only thing lacking was the wifi it was open the everyone and quite slow.

Despite the perfect location and a very good breakfast, the room was poorly maintained and on the last evening the toilet mechanism broke. We received inappropriate and angry treatment from the receptionist and had to stay that night in a room without a toilet!!! We got another room for just the two of us (there were 3 of us) and in this room too the toilet button didn't work, a burnt out light bulb and water leaking from the towel warmer. Very poor maintenance. We didn't ask for compensation and the staff didn't offer compensation, but we left with bad feelings and very disappointed !

Great location and friendly service. Breakfast was wonderful, there were hot options as well as meats and cheeses as a usual Italian breakfast is. The location is excellent, 5 minutes walk from the Trevi Fountain, supermarket and shopping district. The room is spacious even for 3 adults. Reception staff are friendly. However the breakfast selection was very limited.
