Posizione super strategica sia per chi vuole muoversi coi mezzi sia per chi vuole raggiungere a piedi i luoghi di interesse. Bellissima vista dalla terrazza. Unici nei: il rumore che arriva dal traffico della strada, la doccia che fa uscire acqua sul pavimento, un unico ascensore utilizzato anche da tutti gli ospiti e dal personale delle pulizie che al mattino può rendere l'attesa meno veloce del solito. Ma tutto sommato sono piccole cose che non tolgono nulla alla qualità dell'hotel.

The property isn’t like the pictures it’s more in a rural area. The inside is decent and has an elevator with capacity of 4. A/C did not work in our room but worked in my friend’s room. WiFi wasn’t the best. It’s good enough to lay your head down. Room service was very good and front desk was super nice and tried their best to help. The rooftop area was empty (no seats) and the balcony was closed off. Breakfast was good with pastries and eggs. Overall it’s a 4/5 because I know ac is rare in Europe but was promised.

1/10 – Stay Away My stay at Best Western Hotel Astrid was an absolute nightmare. The front desk didn’t even have the guts to tell me that there was construction going on right on my floor. The workers had zero common sense about the fact that guests were staying there. They were hammering, drilling, and leaving equipment scattered in the hallway. On top of that, the entire hallway reeked of fresh paint. I should have cut my losses and canceled my stay, but I didn’t. And before anyone asks, “Why didn’t you just ask for a new room?” well, another guest down the hall did exactly that, and the front desk had the audacity to tell her to stop complaining and that “everything would be fine.” That kind of response is beyond unacceptable. For me, I wouldn’t normally tolerate that kind of disrespect, but being in a foreign country, I didn’t want to cause further issues. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. Completely unprofessional and inconsiderate. Stay away it’s not worth it. You can do better elsewhere.

I rent a car everytime I travel to Europe, so parking is very vital for me whenever I rent a hotel. According to their description in Expedia - they have a parking space that is a "rare finding" in that part of the city. False advertisement. Yes, there was parking available, but not in the hotel, rather on the streets. And good luck finding a spot. When I asked the person on the desk if it's ok to park in front and do I need to pay, she said, yes, it's ok, people park their cars there all the time, you don't need to pay, because that's not a parking space. (Crazy response)... Of course I ended up getting a parking ticket.The hotel itself has a great location and walking distance to many restaurants. Breakfast is ok, nothing special, at €10 per person. If you don't have a car, it's ok. But if you rented a car - nope. It's False advertisement and Expedia should do something about it.

The receptionist was rude upon arrival. Used the hotel parking garage to leave our rental. Decided to stay only one night, at check out receptionist was rude because we aere leaving earlier than expected. Was charged for 2 days of car storage instead of just the one night. When retrieving our rental, staff did not want to return it, since we had booked for 2 nights. When it was returned it was damaged. The rear passenger door handle was scapped. When pointed out, staff said it was like that already, did not to accept responsibility.

Perfect location for the stadium. I normally stay in the new rooms and they are perfect! Rooms on the 5th floor can be noisy in the morning because of the breakfast room on the same floor. I’ll definitely go back. Valerio at reception is the kindest guy, helpful and polite.

The girl who checked us in was very nice. The old hotel was a nice old building with beautiful staircases and old fashioned elevator. The facilities in the room were old and the drainage etc. was not good. Room was not properly cleaned from the first day we moved in.

I really liked the area we were in in terms of being of walking distance to the main part of Rome. However, the conditions of my room were decent on the surface, but the bedding was not clean. I broke out from the bedding and saw spots on it. Was not happy about that part but other than that, it served its purpose.

Our room wasn’t supposed to be ready until 2pm, but my husband wasn’t feeling well and they got us in the room by noon. The front desk personnel were very friendly and kind. They got us a taxi to take us to the Vatican and also helped us with transportation to the airport. The hotel was spotless and our room very comfortable and clean.

Room was SO SMALL. There was no room to open our suitcases on the floor. Yet, because there wasn't enough room to put our clothes away, we had to keep opening and closing our suitcases just to get clothes out each day. Then, when you took a shower, the drain was half clogged, so the bathroom floor would practically flood. We had to request new towels every day because we were using them to soak up the water.

We paid extra for the comfort room so we could get a queen bed and instead were given two twins pushed together to make a queen. We aren't tall people and our feet would hang off the bed. Also, the mattresses were terrible, you could feel the springs in them as soon as you laid down. Our showerhead was also broken and wouldn't stay up so the first shower I took was awful because I had to stand up against the glass the whole time. The shower was only 2.5 feet wide 3 max but I highly doubt it. I asked them about this and the girls said that she could switch me but their would be a few because it wasnt a technical issue. After I said yes it was because the showerhead was broken she said if we let them try to fix it there wouldn't be any fees. That was fine, the maintenance man fixed it for us so we didn't bother switching rooms. They also had breakfast Buffett but if you wanted gluten free they just offered you prepackaged cookies and danishes. It wasn't worth the price if you needed gluten free with the very limited options you get. The room was listed as a bigger room but it was one of the tiniest I've ever had in a hotel. They only offered one of each kind of tea and coffee so If there was more than one person in the room you had to go up to the Buffet room to get more but it was closed at 10. If after 10 you wanted a flavour of tea you were only given two options.

First, the excellent part of this hotel is that we came off a cruise ship early in the morning, and they let us into our room early. That was amazing. The room was clean and comfortable, but not luxurious in any way. Breakfast is decent for €8. The biggest problem is that the beds are rock hard, and we like a hard bed, but it’s extremely hard. We did get a mattress topper added for the 2nd and 3rd night, but it’s not enough. New beds are needed. And the Wi-Fi is spotty. It comes and goes. But it is there as long as it doesn’t drop out. It is walkable from it to the main sites to see, if you can walk 1.5 miles there in the heat and uneven pavement and cobblestones. But taxis are easily available, and we did also use those at the end of the day for approximately€20-25 to get back to the hotel. The staff was good throughout our visit.

Be prepared for the Air Conditioning NOT to cool the room at all, Be prepared to sleep on less than a 2 inch mattress. Also be prepared for when you go to the front desk to request another room, to get absolutely zero to no help from the staff other than, "there is no available rooms to transfer you to at this time". Instead we were given 2 small fans to help move the heat closer to us. It was beyond horrible to say the least and that's putting it as eloquent as possible. We would NOT RECOMMEND anyone to stay at this hotel. The front desk staff & appearance of the lobby was nice, but everything having to do with your room, was below standards for anyone to stay at for comfort. The elevator is beyond antiquated, reminded us of the Tower of Terror at DW in Florida. Every time we went in there, we felt it would drop you down the shaft to the bottom basement and be left for dead. The front desk staff were always kind to call you a cab. Be prepared for the Air Conditioning NOT to cool the room at all, Be prepared to sleep on less than a 2 inch mattress. Also be prepared for when you go to the front desk to request another room, to get absolutely zero to no help from the staff other than, "there is no available rooms to transfer you to at this time". Instead we were given 2 small fans to help move the heat closer to us. It was beyond horrible to say the least and that's putting it as eloquent as possible. We would NOT RECOMMEND anyone to stay at this hotel. The front desk staff & appearance of the lobby was nice, but everything having to do with your room, was below standards for anyone to stay at for comfort. The elevator is beyond antiquated, reminded us of the Tower of Terror at DW in Florida. Not the best hotel we’ve been to. Next time we are in Italy we will be staying a different hotel. We needed an extra night at the hotel because our flight got rescheduled and they could not accommodate us. The air conditioning malfunctioned about a day before our check out time as well. We asked for a taxi to our airport and the person up front said they were going on strike. We asked a few taxi drivers that same day if the going on strike thing was true and they stated that was not true.

We had a great stay! The staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful. When our train went on strike, the front desk assisted us with booking a shuttle to the port for our cruise ship. The breakfast was €8, and it was perfect, featuring a variety of fresh fruits, baked goods, ham and cheese, cereal, and bacon and eggs. There's a market right next to the hotel, which was very convenient, and trains and buses are located behind the hotel. Newly renovated rooms and white clean linens.

Our room wasn’t supposed to be ready until 2pm, but my husband wasn’t feeling well and they got us in the room by noon. The front desk personnel were very friendly and kind. They got us a taxi to take us to the Vatican and also helped us with transportation to the airport. The hotel was spotless and our room very comfortable and clean.

The Astrid is a charming hotel, located in a safe, quiet neighborhood. The staff was very accommodating, warm and friendly. From the Astrid it's walkable to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. There are also very quaint and lovely dining options available nearby. We would definitely stay here again!

Bra boende, dock kan man inte riktigt lita på busstrafiken i Rom och spårvagn ligger en bit bort. Dåligt internet på boendet. Funkade oftast inte i rummet. Frukost var bra och låg en supermarket precis utanför hotellet. Det är en rejäl promenad till stadskärnan men om man klarar längre promenader (ca 30 min-1 timme) är det bra! Staff was very friendly overall. The breakfast on the 5th floor had beautiful views and was convenient for a quick breakfast before leaving for the day. Multiple bus stops around within short walking distance made it easy to get to all the big sites in downtown!

Staff was pleasant and the breakfast was really good with a lot of options. We did book for a small room, but didn’t know the shower would be so small. I’m not very big either and I had to open the shower door to shave. No ice available anywhere near this property except restaurants if you order soda. The AC at least cooled us down fairly well inside the room but it is set at some point.

We paid extra for the comfort room so we could get a queen bed and instead were given two twins pushed together to make a queen. We aren't tall people and our feet would hang off the bed. Also, the mattresses were terrible, you could feel the springs in them as soon as you laid down. Our showerhead was also broken and wouldn't stay up so the first shower I took was awful because I had to stand up against the glass the whole time. The shower was only 2.5 feet wide 3 max but I highly doubt it. I asked them about this and the girls said that she could switch me but their would be a few because it wasnt a technical issue. After I said yes it was because the showerhead was broken she said if we let them try to fix it there wouldn't be any fees. That was fine, the maintenance man fixed it for us so we didn't bother switching rooms. They also had breakfast Buffett but if you wanted gluten free they just offered you prepackaged cookies and danishes. It wasn't worth the price if you needed gluten free with the very limited options you get. The room was listed as a bigger room but it was one of the tiniest I've ever had in a hotel. They only offered one of each kind of tea and coffee so If there was more than one person in the room you had to go up to the Buffet room to get more but it was closed at 10. If after 10 you wanted a flavour of tea you were only given two options.

We stayed 5 nights and everything was great! Breakfast was amazing and the ladies in charge were attentive, kind and friendly. The view was beautiful and selection of items varied from hot sctambled eggs, bacon and toast to cold yogurt, fruit, juice and yummy pastries. The concierge was avaialble 24/7 and very helpful as well. They gave us information on how to take the bus, metro and train to Pisa. The also offer a shuttle to and from the airport for a fee. Definitely will stay here on our return trip to Rome!

The property isn’t like the pictures it’s more in a rural area. The inside is decent and has an elevator with capacity of 4. A/C did not work in our room but worked in my friend’s room. WiFi wasn’t the best. It’s good enough to lay your head down. Room service was very good and front desk was super nice and tried their best to help. The rooftop area was empty (no seats) and the balcony was closed off. Breakfast was good with pastries and eggs. Overall it’s a 4/5 because I know ac is rare in Europe but was promised.

The elevator is equally charming with a gate door! Room was a good size and very modern. The area can be a little loud at night for a few hours with traffic (keeping in mind we did stay on the weekend). Staff were very nice and accomodating!

Mold in the shower room, on showerhead. Airconditioning has to be requested from reception, first room the airco made a loud squeeking fan noise. Got a different room, airco had to be on the highest setting to actually cool. Shower was still moldy.
