Hotel Virgilio

The hotel was very nice, modern and clean. The breakfast was plenty enough, though if you have dietary restrictions you might want to look for an alternative. Good location, you have a minibar in the room with very affordable prices, so all in all, I recommend:)

No parking at hotel but otherwise near perfect in all aspects

The virgilio hotel was very modern with excellent staff . Check in was easy and straitforward and access to the rooms was easy with ablift strait from the lobby. Centrally located for all the major attractions this hotel is highly recommended by myself and my family.

Had 2 bedroom apartment and was clean, elevator was small but we used the stairs.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment, which is located on the 4th of building next to the hotel. It was a 15 minute walk from the train station. There is an old style lift if you don’t want to use the stairs. A giant key is for locking and unlocking the doors. In the evening, we had to remember to use the key to lock the door on the inside. Hotel was centrally located about 10-15 minute walk to colosseum and Trevi Fountain. Nice cafe and restaurant near by. We did not use the kichenette but it was nice to have it available.

Very well centered buy all tourist attractions, and main train station. No A/C which made it hard to sleep sometimes. And no ICE !

This newly refurbished hotel offers easy access and an ideal location for exploring Rome. The lift comfortably accommodates two people with luggage or three adults. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. I booked a room for three adults and a child, and it included a double bed and two single beds, providing a comfortable stay. It was certainly good value for the money.

The property requires updating. Some small changes would make a huge difference. The bathroom also has mold. I did not feel comfortable taking a shower

The staff was very helpful with bags and setting up taxi. But the room was eerie and dark, cracked and stained walls, stained rug and loose tiles in bathroom. There was no blanket on any bed. We found one in closet and it had dog hair and blood on it. There was loud banging 1 am and 2 am. Didn't sleep much at all.

The room I stayed in was huge but old compared to the one the rest of my companions received, apparently that part of the building has not yet been renovated…

Allocated room 502 to start. Annex property you needed 3 keys to get access. Could not get any sleep first night. Water tank above our room was noisy with bubbling sounds. Had to ask for a room switch which we did get the next day. No apology though. Second room was dusty from recent renovations and the room was not finished, no skirting boards. Breakfast menu was ok.

Property was in good place and easy to find. I like the simple things done well when I stay at a hotel. Little things like if you are going to supply tea and coffee then supply milk. Then make sure they are refilled appropriately on a daily basis. The same with soap, shampoo etc. if they are part of the deal then supply on a daily basis. Not 1 day were either completely done properly

Great hotel, walking distance to main sites. Service was excellent and hotel very clean.

Booked 3 rooms. Air conditioning did not work in 2 rooms. Kind of worked in the 3rd room but not cold A/C. Everything else was great. Excellent breakfast. Fresh croissants!! Staff was helpful. Gave us a takeout breakfast bag for our early departures.

Great location and nicely renovated rooms. The only downside was some noise from the hallway, as conversations could be heard easily.

Excelente café da manhã. Recepcionistas atenciosos e prontos para ajudar. Quarto amplo e confortável. Localização nota 10, próximo a todos os mais importantes pontos turísticos.

The bathroom is too small

Super clean. Kind staff. Good area that is super walkable. Only complaint is that walls are SUPER thin. We woke up a few times because the room next to us had a young child that would often cry.

Shower too small, could not even turn around Poor breakfast

4 stars because the AC didn't work. Being too hot in the room we had to sleep with the window open. Breakfast was OK however you have better options around.

The staff at the Hotel Virgilio are simply the best. This place is a gem in the heart of the city. Many places are walkable, and there are so many great places to eat close by. Loved this place!

Nice and friendly cleaning staff however rude receptionist. Cash only when paying taxes and average water pressure. Two single beds combined as a double was very uncomfortable for a couple

No checkout o atendimento foi horrível, fomos tratados muito mal, super mal educados. Só pq a taxa eles queriam receber em dinheiro e estávamos falando que só tínhamos cartão de débito. Eles poderiam ter informado a gente antes e indicado caixa, mas não, disseram que cartão não era dinheiro, distrataram meu marido. Nunca mais volto nesse hotel, péssimo pelo valor cobrado de quase 1.000 a diária.

Best location we walked everywhere to main attractions, room was very clean, price was good just under $300 per night, when we arrived were met by Marco he was so friendly and welcoming, he suggested a restaurant that gave the hotel guests 15% discount and the price and food was great

This was a fantastic place to stay when my family took a quick two-day trip to Rome. Wonderful service, clean rooms, and a great location—within walking distance of most major locations. We stayed one night, and they were kind enough to hold our luggage on the second day while we explored the city (and before catching an evening train). They also held the luggage for us on the previous day when we arrived on an early train. I really can’t say enough about how great the experience was.

We stayed for one night and it was a great welcome on our arrival. The room was clean. We would have liked one English Channel to watch to relax for the evening, they were all Italian. In the morning we were laying on the bed and the cleaner entered our room at 8am and 8.30 without asking and then saw us inside and said sorry and left the room. This was not appropriate and should have knocked first.

The staff was friendly, our room wasn’t ready since we checked in early, however we’re able to leave our luggage at the receptionist, and when we returned later, our stuff are already delivered in our room. Our room is clean and spacious, definitely recommended.

Close to trevi and colosseum! Everything was clean, loved the included breakfast. Staff was also very nice, they gave us a map with recommendations upon check in, and were always helpful throughout our stay.

This hotel is in a perfect location for exploring the city — we were able to do most of our sightseeing on foot. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of local coffee shops, and restaurants nearby. We chose to skip the breakfast to spend more time out in the city, but overall, the location was excellent. We would definitely come back.

Great location - short walk to Colosseum. The train station was about a 15 min walk. Many eating options nearby. Hotel not on a busy street. Staff helpful and the room was a fair size for Rome. Breakfast had very good options and space. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Solamente quiero decir que el desayuno puede ser bastante mejorable para el precio que tiene, porque no había variedad en los productos y por ejemplo faltaban tipos de leche que ahora se consumen mucho.

Hotel con stanza bella, ampia e pulita, che potrebbe essere ottima se in bagno mettessero il porta asciugamani e nella doccia il porta sapone. È strano che abbiano investito molto nella struttura e poi tralascino questi particolari poco impegnativi ma utili. Colazione migliorabile, es. Il bacon semi bruciato entrambi i giorni. Tostapane lentissimo. Peccato, con poco sforzo potrebbe essere di categoria superiore.
