Hotel California

Air conditioning was off because the hotel felt it’s near winter…I do feel it should be up to the customer if they want to use it or not. We didn’t have a choice. That’s the only criticism I have .

Nice central location to Termini. Everything is within reasonable walking distance of this location. Hotel was just OK though. Water pressure on the 5th floor was quite low, which made Shower more of a light rinse. Rooms are ok, but in need of some updating. Room was very quiet. A/C worked very good.

Good breakfast option! We love it specially the milk! People in charge of the breakfast are nice. The hotel is close to termini station. The only downside is they’re renovating some of the rooms. So, the area near the elevator at the lobby is messy and dusty.

Great location for the Termini, surrounded by a lot of nice restaurants. Room was great, bathroom looked renovated, but shower spray kept on sliding down the pole, nothing to keep it in place that worked. And the shower tray needs a mat, was slippery. Stayed in the superior triple room. Breakfast was typical Italian fare, the rolls were not fresh though. If you have a mobility problem, do not stay here, the breakfast area is at basement level, stairs only. On leaving the hotel, the desk person wanted to know if we had used anything from the drinks fridge in the room, we said no, but the fridge was not full when we arrived anyway. He did not ask if we had enjoyed our stay. Stayed here 2 years ago, but will be returning.

very close to roma termini and restaurants. Room is spacious. Luggage storage provided is more secured, in room that's not accessible by anyone else except the hotel staff, than the other hotels that i stayed.

The staff were friendly and it was convenient to the train station. Internet wasn’t great when we got there but they reset the router and it got better.

Only problem is the Wi-Fi is weak. I can only get one device, my iPhone, to work last night. This morning, my second device, my iPad, started to get connection. But, my wife’s iPhone still unable to get connection.

It has a good location and very good breakfast, but the public areas and elevator are very dirty and neglected.

Muito bem localizado, ponto forte: perto da Roma Termini. Está em obras mas nada que atrapalhe. Wi-Fi não pegou no 3 andar onde ficamos mesmo depois de solicitar o conserto. café da manhã bom.

Hopefully their renovations will end soon so they can keep everything clean and dust free.

Our room had such a bad odour. I threw up and it stunk in our room like garbage or someone had died. Not healthy for us and the kids to breath in this terrible air and smell in the room. 5th floor.

O hotel é velho e achei empoeirado. Os funcionários do café da manhã usam luvas pra ficar manipulando os frios e os alimentos com as mãos e essa mesma luva, eles limpam mesa e bancadas com produto de limpeza sem trocar. Achei anti higiênico.

Hotel decaduto, sporco, manutenzione assente. Gli spazi sono di buone dimensioni ma arredi vecchi. Solo stanze al 3 e 4 piano con un ascensore inefficiente. Colazione economica, ma di scarsa qualità. Buone le brioches.

the hotel is not clean very old and not maintain

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. The common areas could use some cleaning, years worth of grime. The room itself was clean and spacious. It is in a busy area and street noise was loud until after midnight. Breakfast starts at 7am, so unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy as we had an early flight. For a short stay this is a good hotel, nothing fancy, but you are in Rome for the city, not the hotel. Incredibly close to Termini, 3 minute walk.

The staff were very nice and friendly. However, the room was very bad. The standing shower smells very bad, a smell of mold sewer, and even after reporting to the staff, the smell persisted for the whole stay. We requested for a room change, but they said all rooms are full. Also, after each shower, the water flooded out on the floor, and we had to put many towels to dry it up. The toilet is way too high for average people.

Reception staff were helpful and friendly.. The state of the hotel was probably the worst Ive stayed at. The stairwell looked like it had not been cleaned or dusted since it was built. Which is a shame because the wrought iron railings are amazing. The public toilet by reception needs attention and definitely a new door. Our room had a very bad smell so it was hard to sleep. Great location close to train and walking distance to the sights. Breakfast was ok

The rooms need renovations, new furnitures, deep cleaning

친절하고 역에서 가까워 위치도 좋고 근처 마트, 식당 이용도 편리합니다. 다만 호텔 주변이 역 근처라 더럽고, 호텔 청소도 다소 미흡합니다. 침대 밑 먼지가 수북하고, 첫 날 선반 등에 머리카락도 있었어요

Overall is good to stay at Hotel California. Easy access to the city center and all landmarks. Breakfast is okay but nothing special. The only complaint I would have is the shower in the room. It’s very tiny with no privacy, one side is clear glass and the curtain doesn’t close all the way.

Room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds. The room is modern and I have nothing negative to say. The hotel is very convenient for transport options and sightseeing - 3 mins walk from Termini and 15-20 mins to Trevi Fountain or Colosseum. Area felt safe and many restaurants nearby. Breakfast was adequate - not many hot food options other than sausages, scrambled and boiled eggs. But many pastries, cakes etc The only negative of this hotel is the lack of coffee/tea sachets in the room and shower full of limescale giving the impression that it’s dirty and easily clogged - we have to wait a few minutes between someone going in/out. Having said that, the bathroom itself is very clean.

We were looking for a hotel close to the train station that would accommodate a family of four (2 adults, 2 teens) and close to attractions. This place was perfect. Included 1 king (not a smaller queen or double) and two single/twin beds. Large & very modern bathroom and mini-refrigerator. Air conditioning worked great. Full breakfast that included eggs, meats, pastries, juice and coffee. Friendly and accommodating staff. We were able to store our luggage both before check-in and after checkout so we could sightsee on our travel days. Highly recommend.

We stayed in Room 1419. It was very quiet and updated bathroom. The only issue was that the shower hot water took time before it started to run hot. There are lots of dining places very close by. The reception staff were helpful.

Great location, steps from the train station and walkable to Trevi, Pantheon, Colosseum and Spanish Steps. The hotel is very dated, shower leaked and lots of yelling on the street at night.

Excellent location. Rooms a little dated but very clean and comfortable. Rooms cleaned daily- lovely coming back to freshly made beds and clean towels. Reception staff friendly and welcoming. Breakfast good but go early as after 9 food runs out and isn’t replenished. The man who is in charge of the breakfast area has an amazing tatoo but is very grumpy! If you can make him smile I’d love to know your secret! All in all- the hotel is run down in the communal areas but if you’re spending time in your hotel whilst in Rome, then you’re not appreciating where you are! Get out, explore, walk, eat and live life.

The front desk man was very rude and not helpful. He had an attitude from the moment we walked in until we came back for our bags. He ruined the entire the stay

Com toda certeza não é um hotel 3 estrelas, toda estrutura do hotel é bem ruim, os sofás no lobby do hotel e elevador totalmente sujos, um cheiro ruim no quarto, o chuveiro não esquentava e a queda de água do mesmo era muito baixa.

Front desk staffs were helpful. Very convenient location. Can walk to a lot of attractions. Breakfast was good. Parking is a bit challenging particularly when you arrive late.

They were very kind and attentive to us, especially Tamer Ashraf. The rooms are cleaned every day. Located in a central point.

The front desk staff was very helpful with answering our questions and suggesting things to see. The breakfast was excellent, room was very clean and comfortable. They were doing some renovations on the upper floors, so the stairways were a little dusty, but there was no noise, and it didn't affect our stay. Walking distance to train station was a plus!

Check-in was slow, but after that we couldn't have been happier. The large quad room put a wall between us and the kids, and everything in the room was in good repair. The breakfast was good (especially by American standards), and when we had to leave for the train station on our check-out day, they provided us with a prepared to-go-bag.

I've stayed at the Hotel California many times before. I select it because of its affordable price and location near Roma Termini. On this visit I found the bed to be supremely comfortable -- this was by far its best feature. The shower was pretty abysmal, barely functional... the soap/shampoo options were equally poor. If you didn't pack your own supplies, you are screwed. It was a disappointing stay this time around. That said, I always find the staff to be super helpful and friendly.

The hotel is 2 blocks from the Roma Central Train station/Metro station and bus depot. You can reach pretty much all attractions at ease. There are a lot of restaurants within one block; almost off of them have inside and outside dining. The staff are helpful. There is a wonderful local bakery just a block north of the hotel. You must try it. The hotel is right next to the tram track which can be loud during the day. There are many outside dining restaurants nearby. Most of them are busy till 10 PM. In the morning, all the restaurant and street trash is visible. There are homeless people around the area in addition to groups of questionable young men at late night and even early in the morning in the surrounding. The hotel reception eagerly told me that they recently remodeled my room. The remodel was nice in the pictures. They do have a spacious restroom with shower. However, the hotel should get it money back. Here are my few problems. There is no place to hang your cloth in the bathroom. They replaced the sink with double size, there is no surface to put anything on. Not sure what is going on with the shower, If drain plate is movable. If it is not in the right location, it blocked the drain. The water covered my feet, and I almost flooded the room. And the shower stall leaks from the base of the door and the back of the shower stall. Last complaint, the mates ignored the "do not disturb" sign and went in to clean the room.

The best amenity is that is close the train station only like three or 4 minutes walking.

Absolutely great location. Close to train station and metro. Literally dozens of restaurant options within walking distance. Affordable. Breakfast area is compact but hotel has people sign up for when they are planning to attend so it works out. Staff great. Building is dated but well maintained.

Very good breakfast

Best place to stay in Roma( beside Roma-Termini) you need to walk no more that 30 minutes to the main atraccions in Roma , to go the vatican you need to get there by metro otherwise you dont need spent $$ in transportation. Breakfast included is amazing !! The building ummm is not the best but rooms are clear and so clear and not issues with the base.

This hotel was in a convenient location to the train station. It was.close to groceries and dining. Breakfast at the hotel was good and convenient. This hotel had air conditioning which was nice in the summer. The only complaint is the room had mold on the ceiling in the bathroom.

Hotel is a few minutes from Termini station so excellent links to the airports. 30 minutes walk to the main sites but transport options are close by. Budget hotel for a few nights stay, old in decor and appearance but clean and warm. Daily room service and fridge, kettle in room for convenience. Excellent free breakfast with plenty of choice. Staff friendly and helpful. If on a reasonable budget and for a few nights and you like a walk it is ideal. I'd stay here again when in Rome.

Estupenda ubicación, bastante limpio.el desayuno no está mal. Pero tendrian que tener más cuidado en reponer tazas y platos cuando se acaban.
