L'hotel è sicuramente in una posizione molto strategica: a 10 min a piedi dalla stazione di Roma Termini e a circa 10 min a piedi dal Colosseo. Via Urbana è molto graziosa e piena di locali e negozi in teressanti (per gli amici celiaci c'è un forno 100% gluten free all'angolo di fronte all'albergo - "Glummy"). Per quanto riguarda la struttura, è molto graziosa, ascensore un pò piccolo e le scale dal IV al V piano un pò "challenging", poichè quasi a chiocciola e senza man corrente per un certo tratto. La stanza essenziale, con tutti gli arredi necessari. Un bollitore in camera potrebbe essere gradito. Personale alla reception molto cortese e disponibile. Interessante l'assenza di chiavi fisiche o tessere per accedere all'albergo e alle camere, sostituite da tastierini numerici.

This hotel was the perfect location for us. We were able to walk wherever we wanted to go and always felt safe. If it was a bit of a distance, an Uber was fairly easy to get (unless the Metro was on strike, that is). We loved that we were able to walk to most places that we wanted to visit, especially the Colosseum. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and a what’s app message was sent to us, detailing how to access our room since we arrived late at night. However, our bathroom had an odd smell (as some of Rome does), which was not pleasant. This didn’t dampen our trip, as who spends too much time in their rooms when in Rome?! Also, if you’re staying here, travel light, as the elevator is quite small. All in all, we had an amazing time in Rome, thanks to the staff and location of Hotel Canova.

The terrace was a lovely addition to the stay. The room was very clean in general, and well cleaned and made up each day. Breakfast was consistent and helpful to have available on site before going out for the day. There is little to complain about here. We would stay here again when in Rome.

The bathroom was made for short people. The handheld shower head didn’t work and didn’t fit the holder. And the rain shower couldn’t be adjusted in the height, so you had to duck down to shower, not very comfortable. Good location. Practical with a code for the door instead of a physical key.

Location: Really good, can’t fault the location being 15 minutes walk to the Colosseum and from there it’s walkable to the centre. The main station for metro was around 10 minutes walk and easy to navigate. It was not even a minute walk to the street with lots to eat, drink and shop. Super nice area to stay in if you don’t want to be too crowded and was very chill. Room: The one we had was small which was no issue as it was just us 2 and has everything you need. There is a key pad entry to the building and room (need to just tap a few times to wake the key pad, the staff kindly told me as I thought it was not working). Room was cleaned everyday and had no issues there at all. Rooftop was not open food wise as it looked like there would be a place to eat but it was open to sit and chill up there which was really nice to see the city from above. Staff: No faults here, super welcoming, friendly, and helpful they would answer any questions you have. Would consider staying here again :)

Conveniently located near many eateries, the main train station, two major subway lines and bus stops. It's a quaint property, with a comfortable bed, good lighting and power. They also have a rooftop/outdoor space to sit. The breakfast room was not available while we visited since it was under renovation. However, the room was quite small. There was barely space to unpack two suitcases. The shower was extremely tight - About 2ft x 2ft with a lower than standard showerhead, which made it really uncomfortable for my husband who is 6ft 2 and needed to crouch in a very small space. There was no caddy or rack to place any of your toiletries in the shower so you either had to hold on to it, or leave it on the floor, which made for very awkward maneuvering in a tight space. The safe and the heated towel rods weren't working either. Although to be fair, we didn't follow up to see if they could be fixed. We spent 3 nights there, and spent most of our time outside, so we managed alright. But I wouldn't stay here again.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Although the rooms are on the smaller side, they were incredibly clean and perfect for a city-style stay. The location is unbeatable — very close and walkable to major attractions like the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. The surrounding area is full of charming shops and restaurants, and it felt extremely safe and well-lit, even at night. Check-in was quick and easy. One thing to note: there’s a city tax of six euros per person, per night that must be paid in cash, so be sure to bring euros with you, as they don’t accept credit cards for this. Overall, it was a fantastic stay — clean, secure, and in an amazing location. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome!

Das Hotel war für den Preis eine absolute Frechheit! Bloß nicht buchen! Sehr dreckig und die angegebenen Fotos wurden wahrscheinlich vor 40 Jahren nach der Eröffnung des Hotels gemacht. Hätte ich vorher gewusst wie es dort aussieht, hätte ich das Hotel niemals gebraucht!

The stay was horrible! I paid around 200 euros for one night, and for this amount of money i expect much more quality. The guy at the reception was sleeping and there was a queue at check in. I had to personally intervene and wake the staff up. Then the room was super dirty with spiders in the bathroom. The bed was very old and not comfortable. very bad experience and not expected as the reviews and photos on expedia were good.

Great location. Reception was great. Room was clean. The room needs some attention. Door trim fell off and bathroom was missing a piece of trim completely so inside struts and insulation exposed. The place is old but these items could be fixed.

Amazing staff, very friendly and helpful. Great location, walkable to all the sights. Lots of local restaurants and bars. We had a balcony as well which was a very welcome addition. Great experience overall. Would definitely staff again.

Eu e meu esposo estivemos no hotel em outubro de 2022. Inicialmente, vale esclarecer que o hotel, que não merece ser chamado de hotel, não possui recepção 24h. Isto deixa o hóspede extremamente vulnerável. No primeiro dia de nossa estadia, ao retornamos p o hotel, por volta das 22h, deletamos por equívoco o número da senha p abrir a porta de entrada do hotel e a porta do nosso quarto. Imediatamente, tentamos contato telefônico através do número que possuíamos. Apareceu um homem, bastante abusado, que abriu a porta do hotel para nós. Ele não queria nos deixar entrar no quarto. Enrolou bastante, nao encontrava a nossa reserva, sugeriu que não estávamos hospedados lá. Enquanto isso, ficávamos desesperados, já pensando que teríamos que acionar o consulado. Quando, depois de alguns muitos minutos, ele fez uma ligação e liberou o nosso acesso ao quarto. Diante desta situação, nos sentimos extremamente vulneráveis hospedados naquele estabelecimento. Fora isso, vale ressaltar que o hotel é sujo e os quartos são extremamente pequenos, além de está localizado em uma região bastante esquisita.

Decent little hotel. Very basic Staff friendly, helpful, professional and proactive. No added services (e.g breakfast/coffee) which is available at other hotels in the area. Had a couple of maintenance related issues in the room. Staff was proactive in moving us to a new room.

L'hotel è sicuramente in una posizione molto strategica: a 10 min a piedi dalla stazione di Roma Termini e a circa 10 min a piedi dal Colosseo. Via Urbana è molto graziosa e piena di locali e negozi in teressanti (per gli amici celiaci c'è un forno 100% gluten free all'angolo di fronte all'albergo - "Glummy"). Per quanto riguarda la struttura, è molto graziosa, ascensore un pò piccolo e le scale dal IV al V piano un pò "challenging", poichè quasi a chiocciola e senza man corrente per un certo tratto. La stanza essenziale, con tutti gli arredi necessari. Un bollitore in camera potrebbe essere gradito. Personale alla reception molto cortese e disponibile. Interessante l'assenza di chiavi fisiche o tessere per accedere all'albergo e alle camere, sostituite da tastierini numerici.

I love the location, the genuinely friendly staff, the cleanliness and proximity to Termini, metro, bus route and easy walking distance to the Colosseum. Plenty of dining options nearby. Will definitely stay at Hotel Canova again.

This was a perfect location for our visit to Rome—easily walkable from the train station and close to all the major sites. The hotel was clean and seemed to be recently updated. Check in was easy.

Trevligt hotell som har alla bekvämligheter du behöver! Nära till Colosseum och området Monti är supermysigt med butiker och restauranger. Personalen på Canova var jättetrevliga! Badrummet var lite slitet på sina hörn men i det stora var rummet sjyst. Jag sov gott och kände mig trygg! Bra AC mitt i varmaste juli.

Location: Really good, can’t fault the location being 15 minutes walk to the Colosseum and from there it’s walkable to the centre. The main station for metro was around 10 minutes walk and easy to navigate. It was not even a minute walk to the street with lots to eat, drink and shop. Super nice area to stay in if you don’t want to be too crowded and was very chill. Room: The one we had was small which was no issue as it was just us 2 and has everything you need. There is a key pad entry to the building and room (need to just tap a few times to wake the key pad, the staff kindly told me as I thought it was not working). Room was cleaned everyday and had no issues there at all. Rooftop was not open food wise as it looked like there would be a place to eat but it was open to sit and chill up there which was really nice to see the city from above. Staff: No faults here, super welcoming, friendly, and helpful they would answer any questions you have. Would consider staying here again :)

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Although the rooms are on the smaller side, they were incredibly clean and perfect for a city-style stay. The location is unbeatable — very close and walkable to major attractions like the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. The surrounding area is full of charming shops and restaurants, and it felt extremely safe and well-lit, even at night. Check-in was quick and easy. One thing to note: there’s a city tax of six euros per person, per night that must be paid in cash, so be sure to bring euros with you, as they don’t accept credit cards for this. Overall, it was a fantastic stay — clean, secure, and in an amazing location. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome!

The terrace was a lovely addition to the stay. The room was very clean in general, and well cleaned and made up each day. Breakfast was consistent and helpful to have available on site before going out for the day. There is little to complain about here. We would stay here again when in Rome.

The reason why I put average is because they said they have breakfast there and there is nothing there to eat not even coffee in the morning. Otherwise the staff was excellent and the property is clean.

Très bon séjour : hôtel bien tenu et personnel très sympathique et serviable ; petit bémol : le petit déjeuner la qualité est à revoir ...Nous avons préféré déjeuner à l'extérieur pour le reste du séjour. mais merci à tout le personnel de l'hôtel Canova !

Conveniently located near many eateries, the main train station, two major subway lines and bus stops. It's a quaint property, with a comfortable bed, good lighting and power. They also have a rooftop/outdoor space to sit. The breakfast room was not available while we visited since it was under renovation. However, the room was quite small. There was barely space to unpack two suitcases. The shower was extremely tight - About 2ft x 2ft with a lower than standard showerhead, which made it really uncomfortable for my husband who is 6ft 2 and needed to crouch in a very small space. There was no caddy or rack to place any of your toiletries in the shower so you either had to hold on to it, or leave it on the floor, which made for very awkward maneuvering in a tight space. The safe and the heated towel rods weren't working either. Although to be fair, we didn't follow up to see if they could be fixed. We spent 3 nights there, and spent most of our time outside, so we managed alright. But I wouldn't stay here again.

Our stay was excellent. They had to change our original room to another but it was fine. Our room was small but comfortable. The area has so many eating opportunities and is an easy walk to Termini train station. Due to our room change they offered us a complimentary breakfast which was appreciated. We recommend this hotel.

The staff were helpful in letting us print coach tickets, the hotel is in a good location with nice bakeries near by for a great start of the day, particularly Simon’s Bar, overall very nice place to stay that isn’t directly in the rush of Rome
