The building itself is beautiful. The elevator is old and dirty. Only one air conditioner worked out of 5. My family was very uncomfortable and hot. The bathroom was clean. Our Tv did not work. We don't recommend this place. It needs better signage because it was difficult to find.

The room was very small for three people, but quite adequate for a short stay. A small fridge in the suite and a microwave in the corridor outside were the only amenities. Quiet, clean and secure, conveniently located and close to public transportation made it work well for us. We had a car, and surprisingly we were able to find free parking two blocks away next to a lovely bakery frequented by locals.

L'emplacement est parfait : a proximité du Vatican, tout peut se faire à pied ou en transports. La chambre est belle et spacieuse. On peut facilement se garer a proximité. Mais la réception se fait a 10 minutes de l'endroit, dans un autre immeuble. Pas de cuisine. La salle de bains est vetuste, la porte de la douche est a moitié cassée et remplacée par un rideau. Une latte au pied d'un des lits est cassée. Les couvertures sont fournies sans housse et tachées. J'ai informé la réception via l'application, qui ne m'a pas répondu. Plus qu'un hôtel, c'est un appartement au rabais sans cuisine.

Pros: Close to St. Peter Basilica and very convenient to transit. - Staff/customer service is great. well in communication plus a bonus kind accommodation for extended check out. I give 5 star for that. Cons: The building is so old and creepy. We have to go to the other building for check in and the elevator is not that well. So old. Not equipped with automatic keycard but the old fashion physical keys. We arrived late night and we have to do like an amazing race to follow the instruction. Open the main building gate, to the property site, then to the room. We had a hard time figuring out to open the door going to our room. We were stock in the middle of the night outside. Thankfully, there are housekeeper in the other property and helped us to open the door. All good anyhow.

I arrived earlier than check in time at a building that I could not find and residents couldn't identity either. Once I finally arrived, another property owner/manager let me in. I made my way upstairs and the rooms were being prepared for the next guests. After checking in a large party, I was next, paid my hotel tax and was told this was not the building where I was residing. I was instantly ticked off. I was escorted to another building about 4 blocks away. This is not the thing that you want to do in the heat of the summer and after a very long flight. Once at the other building, I was given 4 keys - Main door-key #1, upon opening you see 2 buildings-key #2 for my building. Elevator to my wing-using key #3 (this lock gave me problems every time, I even had to get other ppl to assist, when it would finally open-key# 4 to my room. The AC was not working properly, I attempted to make the room cooler (to no avail) then I popped into the shower, the shower didn't drain. My head was about to explode. After my shower, I messaged the "front desk" and shared my grievances and told them I was leaving for a few hours. Upon my return, with an electric fan in hand, all repairs were completed with a nice cool room and draining tub. Other annoying door #3, the AC and non draining tub, the small room was perfect for me. However, the bidet did not allow for the bathroom door to fully open, so I was always squeezing my way in and out.

Der Flur zum Zimmer stank fürchterlich nach Zigaretten und Putzmittel. Das Zimmer roch zum Glück nicht so und war sauber. Es war sehr einfach, aber ausreichend. Das Bett war sauber, allerdings war das wacklige Gerüst des Himmelbetts mit Kabelbindern befestigt und hatte keine Vorhänge. Eine Bettdecke hatten wir nicht, dafür ein Bettlaken als Decke. Das Haus liegt an einer extrem lauten Straße, das fand ich aber nicht weiter schlimm. Die Fenster waren ausgezeichnet gedämmt, geschlossen war der Straßenlärm kein Problem mehr. Das WLAN war praktisch nicht vorhanden. Es gab, wenn überhaupt, ein übermäßig schwaches Signal, das ständig abbrach. Und ständig heißt alle 2-3 Min. Die Wände im Bad waren schimmlig, die rausgebrochene Tür der Duschkabine wurde durch einen zu kleinen Vorhang ersetzt, wodurch das Bad nach jeder Dusche unter Wasser stand. Der Duschkopf hing lose in der Halterung, so dass er sich nicht ausrichten ließ. Die Klopapierhalterung war nur noch zur Hälfte erhalten, das Klopapier stand also am Rande des Bidets. Am Waschbecken fehlte die Seifenschale an der Halterung, aber weil es ohnehin keine Seife gab (wir haben privat eine besorgt), war das wohl nicht notwendig. Handtücher waren vorhanden und sauber, allerdings teilweise etwas verschlissen. Es lag ein Fön rum, dieser war allerdings nicht zu gebrauchen, da der Griff abgebrochen war. Das Zimmer war darüber hinaus sehr hellhörig. Gut fand ich die Lage, unweit des Vatikans und eine Menge Restaurants. Keine Empfehlung!

First we arrive and there was nobody in the reception. We found a note with a new address and some keys. We went to the address and had to carry all the luggage 3 block away from the location. We got to the room and it was disgusting. The AC was not working, the towels had holes, the bathroom had fungus and there was white powder in the desk. I call the manage and he didn't answer. So we had to stay the night because it was already 12 midnight. We went to a meeting in the morning and after that I went to the reception and told them about the room. We tried to contact the property manager both the receptionist Federico and me and he didn't answer. I went and got another hotel cheaper then that one and much nicer 2 block from there and turn in the room to the receptionist telling them I want a refund for my room. They of course denied refund. Please dont book this place for your own peace of mind and health because its not sanatize and you wont get help from the owner.

I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel, especially if you're traveling all the way to Rome. On our very first day, we were met with several unacceptable issues: bugs in the room, dirty and marked walls, and a carpet with white stains that resembled bodily fluids. To make matters worse, the air conditioning system wasn’t working, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. We tried to contact reception but he didn’t answer his phone. Nor did he call back. He texted back 24 hours later My wife and I both felt extremely uneasy, and the surrounding area didn’t give us much peace of mind either. I couldn’t justify allowing my wife to stay in those conditions, so we left and checked into another hotel. What’s most disappointing is that the price we paid here was the same as what we later paid for a 4-star hotel, where the experience was night and day.

Nach der Bezahlung wurde uns der Schlüssel für dem Raum bzw. das Zimmer gegeben und kurz gezeigt wo das Zimmer ist. Der erste Eindruck war mehr als ernüchternd; es roch komisch, das Bett war unbequem und mehr zwei Zustellbetten als ein richtiges Bett und nach etwas umschauen hatten wir benutze Papiertaschtücher unter/hinter dem Nachtisch gefunden; an der Decke war eindeutig Schimmelbildung zu sehen, das gleiche im Bad. Deswegen hatten wir uns entschieden das Zimmer nicht zu beziehen und sind an die Rezeption uns beschweren. Es war kein Vertrauen in die Sauberkeit des Raumes gegeben und wir haben uns das Geld zurückverlangt; jedoch bekamen wir die Antwort, dass dies von Expedia kommen muss. Jetzt sind wir in Kontakt mit euch (Expedia) und hoffen, dass wir unser Geld hier komplett zurück erstatten bekommen, da wir auch annehmen, dass das Zimmer im Anschluss nochmals an Gäste vergeben wurde und der Besitzer im Falle eine Nicht-Erstattung für einen winzigen dreckigen miffligen Raum doppelt abkassiert hat. Wohl zu ergänzen, dass wir fast 500 EUR für zwei Nächte bezahlt haben ... Expedia, das könnt ihr besser, das weiß ich aus der Vergangenheit. Ich kann nur darum bitten, dass Ihr den Besitzer dazu bringt, die Erstattung zu akzeptieren und dass zukündigte Gäste mehr Erfolg haben.

Avoid this place!!! My wife her body had wounds day after. After checking the reviews about bedbugs, it was most probably that! Unbelievable that places like this are allowed to run! After hearing of no compensation from this place and Expedia, we will contact the city of Rome and the ministry of tourism to shut this place from the reason of public health, be sure about that!

First of, the hotel room was not in the hotel building. Had to walk 3 blocks to get to another building. I’ve never booked a hotel room we’re i had to walk 3 blocks in the rain with my bags. Unbelievable. The room was not big, no big deal for Rome, since the rooms are fairly small. But the bed was another thing. Literally, the bed was like a pyramid. In the middle it was pointed and the edges were so leaned, our faces were facing the frame bar. Not cool. Wi-Fi Inter net was not working. Texted the front desk person who stated that they would look into it but never did. Not cool. Shower water was somewhat hot, but after like 3 minutes the hotness would go away. We might of shared a water heater with 3 rooms. So if you didn’t get hot water, then you would be showering with cold water. Not cool when the temperature was in the low 50’s in April. TV channels were all in Italian. The only good thing I would say about this hotel was location. It’s close to the Vatican, Metro, taxi stands, food and Gelato stores. Overall, on a scale of 0-5, I rate this hotel room/company a solid 1.5. Please don’t waste your time and money. Look somewhere else. :(

Great no frills place. Rooms could use a refresh. Bathroom was awkward. Hot water runs out quickly. Elevator works. Can’t beat the location. Safe and Decent - be modest in your expectations and this will be a great place to sleep and shower. Not a spa or a resort. Not the place to just hang out in the room. As such, it’s great!!

Booked a superior double room but looking at photos afterwards we were in just a normal double room. There was no warm bedding, the air con didn’t work when trying to heat the room, however the air con unit for next door out on the balcony which was on all night was definitely working and kept us awake all night. The toilet in the next room was very loud every time it flushed, there was a small balcony but no key to open the metal shutters, not sure how we would have escaped if there was a fire in the hallway. Good location for Vatican City if you want to go there, the only positive from our trip.

Room was average-sized with a king size bed and soft mattress. A small old fashion toilet which needed renovation. A kettle to share between 3 rooms which was never available...no coffee bags or tea bags in the room. Walking distance to Vatican and very close to small shops and restaurants. Metro to use very close and the ticket price was reasonable.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. This is NOT a hotel. More like a bargain Air BnB within an apartment building. Even the apartment residents say the rooms are disgusting. Honestly one of the worst places I’ve stayed in my whole life. You could feel the bars of the bed frame when you lay down, there’s scuffs all over the walls, stuff that looks like black mold on the walls, and the shower was TINY. Also to connect to the wifi you have to stand under a specific spot in the building, and then it doesn’t even reach your room. The gentleman at the reception was nice, and that’s the only positive remark I have to make. DON’T BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURES OR LOCATION, it is NOT worth it.

What I liked was the location, the bed was really comfortable, and the ideal room temperature. 1. I wouldn't say I liked that they sent me with everything and suitcases to look for my room in another direction, 10 minutes away on foot. 2. There was no hotel representative in the direction of my room to request anything. 3. The Wi-Fi without connection in the room, only in the public area. 4. The bathroom is too small, I hurt myself on several occasions from colliding with the walls and the ironwork when I wanted to soap myself (it should be mentioned that I am a Latina of average height) 5. In the 5 days of my stay they never cleaned the room or supplied toilet paper. 6. The room was very noisy. 6. The price was excessive for the service offered.

Very quaint place. If you like luxury this is definitely not the place for you. It’s very basic. We stayed for 6 nights and they didn’t come to do housekeeping even once. Also, the wifi works at the reception and they tell you that it works, in our case, the 4th floor, but it never did, even though I notified someone. It’s close to the Vatican and public transportation, as well as food options. The area also has a lot of garbage in the streets.

Every day we had to call about no hot water. Ice cold showers. Only got clean towels after I asked for them. No cleaning our unit. Arrived after 9 hours flying to be told they were on lunch and would have to wait. Then had to wheel our luggage four blocks through busy Rome to find our accommodation. Daunting in a strange city and a language barrier too. Location was great for Vatican Museum, transportation- under ground - restaurants, and St Peters Basilica. Would probably not recommend to friends and family unfortunately.

The service was good .. beds were not comfortable.. They had to switch our rooms due to maintenance on the room originally assigned, the other room was 0.7 miles walk and we had take all our luggage. Note that there was an elevator but to get to it you had walk with your luggage at least a flight of stairs to get to the elevator.. not convenient when you have a family and for suitcases..

Only gave us one key per room and after some of us being locked in the room because others had gone out and locked the room as ones staying were sleeping, they were locked in and had to yell for someone to let them out. We then asked for another key and were told they only have one. We told them it was a fire hazard for them to be locked in and when we said if there actually was a fire the people locked inside would die, he just looked at us and said ya. Wasn’t impressed with service but room was fine

The room that we stayed was not featured in any of the 132 pictures they have in Expedia. We walked to another building after checking in for another 5-7 mins. When we arrived at the property, we noticed how bad the room and we reached out to the person who checked us in. He explained that they managed many properties but I re-iterated that this particular room is unacceptable. He told me that he will talk to his manager and he will call me back but he didn’t. I called for the rest of the night but he did not answered any of my calls.

We had a couple of bad experiences on this day, but really liked the location and general room standard. A couple of easy fixes would be bulbs that didn’t work and clean mold in shower. However, the most stressful thing was arriving at 7:30 to find reception close and just a note telling you where you were and a big set of keys to access. A map would’ve been useful to indicate that we are in a different building in the different street to where we thought we’d booked. I’m checking out the receptionist was very helpful by email and I managed to pay the tax by leaving it along with emailing passport details. We had to do this as we were busy meeting friends on the other side of Rome and we’re leaving very early in the morning Location of our room was excellent, and I had accommodated my disability by putting me on the first floor, and there was a working lift. Just a few easy fixes to make this a great stay and it’s very close to the Vatican. Air-conditioner was very loud, and at one stage, spat out lumps of ice! All made for an interesting day. Have advised the hotel to leave a map, if they’re moving you without anybody present, and also a traffic light system on the bunch of keys to let you know which one you use first, second and third in the dark.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! We chose this place over many others beacuse we would be arriving after midnight and online they said 24 hour lobby. After telling management the time of our arrival they told us "our lobby is not open overnight but we will send you self check in instructions" Confused, we accepted it and waited for insturctions on how to check in. They sent us an electronic key to open the building that did not work. So my family was left stranded on the streets 2 am with nowhere to sleep. We called them multiple times to help us and got no answer. We had to go to 4 different hotels before we found a place to sleep. The next morning we texted them that we would be checking in after a tour we had already booked at 11 am. They said "no problem we open at 1 pm anyways" During our tour we recieved a text from the host saying our room is no longer available and lost the reservation. Frustrated we left our tour early to figure out what was going on since we booked this place for 3 nights. Once we got to the hotel and tried to check in, this disgustingly rude host got into verbal argument with us on how it was our fault we lost the reservation, how they never claimed to be open 24 hours, how we should have came earlier in the morning before 1 pm to check in. He even lied to us saying the hotel was completely booked and they had no space for us. His employees, who also seemed fed up with him, told him to stop arguing and that they would accommodate us. So they did have room for us

Having read some of the reviews I was concerned. I need not have been at all. Myself and my teenage boys stayed in a triple room which next to the reception. The room was very clean, beds comfortable and bathroom clean and perfectly adequate. Lovely courtyard view. Good air con and a safe. Prior to staying the hotel made sure we knew exactly how to check in as we would be arriving late. Everything was exactly as described and this was much appreciated at the end of a long day travelling. The location of the room for the cost is absolutely perfect. We had an amazing stay. Thank you

Property was in a great location for the Vatican and St Peter’s Square which was the main reason for choosing it. Accommodation is basic and clean but tired. Certainly no frills. No breakfast as advertised and paid for. Bedroom was in another building from the main one were you check in - 10mins walk. No daily room service to empty bins etc. but we were only there for 3 days so not an issue for us. It did the job for us which was basically a bed for the night but don’t expect anything more!!

L'emplacement est parfait : a proximité du Vatican, tout peut se faire à pied ou en transports. La chambre est belle et spacieuse. On peut facilement se garer a proximité. Mais la réception se fait a 10 minutes de l'endroit, dans un autre immeuble. Pas de cuisine. La salle de bains est vetuste, la porte de la douche est a moitié cassée et remplacée par un rideau. Une latte au pied d'un des lits est cassée. Les couvertures sont fournies sans housse et tachées. J'ai informé la réception via l'application, qui ne m'a pas répondu. Plus qu'un hôtel, c'est un appartement au rabais sans cuisine.

Location is excellent between metro and the train and the bus. Personnel was friendly, helped us with local knowledge and with transportation.

Property was in a great location for the Vatican and St Peter’s Square which was the main reason for choosing it. Accommodation is basic and clean but tired. Certainly no frills. No breakfast as advertised and paid for. Bedroom was in another building from the main one were you check in - 10mins walk. No daily room service to empty bins etc. but we were only there for 3 days so not an issue for us. It did the job for us which was basically a bed for the night but don’t expect anything more!!

MI SONO TROVATO BENE. UNA MACCHINETTA PER FARSI UN CAFFE' LA MATTINA (visto che adesso esistono queste macchinette con cialde o capsule - bicchierini di plastica ed una bustina di zucchero - non guasterebbe).
