My family and I were here for 1 night on 16th of February. Upon check in we were kindly greeted. Check in was smooth and efficient. We were able to check in early and that was perfect after our 4 hour train ride from Rome. Be aware that there is no lift/elevator. We made sure to walk around with our socks on as the carpet looked gross with the stains. We had an early morning flight, so we chose this place as it's conveniently located across the street from the bus station. The 2 restaurants across the street are pretty good. We slept comfortably and glad the amenities worked as they should.

We stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to the train station and buses. It is definitely not a scenic area. The hotel is clean enough. The beds are comfortable enough. There was no elevator so be prepared to drag your bag upstairs. There was one benefit that no other hotel has had and that was air conditioning. It's good for an overnight but that's enough.

Excellent hotel. It's tough to find hotels that accommodate parking- especially Venice. This hotel has parking on site. Walk across the street to the first bridge into Venice. My stay at this hotel was deeply disappointing. The room had a strong musty smell and was infested with mosquitoes. Basic amenities were lacking: there was no telephone, the television didn’t work, the room couldn’t be properly heated, and the walls and ceiling were so thin that I could hear every footstep and conversation from the room above. It was impossible to get a good night’s sleep under these conditions. When I approached the staff about the malfunctioning TV, their response was shockingly unprofessional. Instead of addressing the issue, I was told it wasn’t their problem and that I could “find another hotel”—this, after the room was already paid for. To make matters worse, I was told to be “grateful” for having a bed, which was both dismissive and insulting. A simple apology or an effort to find a solution would have gone a long way, but instead, I was met with indifference and arrogance. I fully expect the management to respond to this review with a professional tone, offering excuses like it being a Saturday night and claiming they couldn’t fix the TV. However, don’t be fooled by the reply. The underlying issues at this hotel go beyond a broken television; they stem from a complete lack of hospitality and respect for their guests. While the staff offered us two bottles of water for free upon checkout, this small gesture did little to compensate for a sleepless night and a tho

We loved staying here. It was clean & easy to reach from the bus station across the street. Although there isn't an elevator, it was easy to carry luggage to the second floor. The room was large for a European hotel. It isn't a high class facility, but if your looking for convenience and affordability, it is great.

It was the biggest room we had on our trip lol the bathroom was much larger as well! It is so conveniently placed we were about 20 minutes from anything we wanted to do. We were near the ferries, the train, the bus. It is incredibly convenient.

Ca Doge: Not working at all- Cable and TV not hooked up to WiFi so no capability access any of any platforms rendering the tv obsolete Safe was unable to be programmed to lock (and reportedly done this way intentionally per hotel rep) Heat did not allow seasonal adjustment for heat WiFi signal was so weak that we are unable to complete some searching tasks much less even see Netflix on our phone. Water temperature in shower was restricted to a tepid temperature at best - the combination of the heat not working and no ability to take hot shower, we spent the afternoon and evening under sheets reading our Google news on the phone which we could have done 4,000 miles closer to home We did approach front desk representative the first time re the cable (first item noticed) and she was so apathetic and disengaged re any restoration (stated that they were aware but no time frame or customer service re its cable access to be returned) that we just walked to consider accepting the deficiency. However, after noticing the other items, we reached the point where one last attempt to rectify was presented. The one item that we were successful was the heater. I must say that we are not snobby hotel tourists expecting the finest. Those items listed above would be present in any hotel accommodation a third of the price paid. We therefore made reservations at a hotel that was less than half the price requesting a refund the next morning.

My stay at this hotel was deeply disappointing. The room had a strong musty smell and was infested with mosquitoes. Basic amenities were lacking: there was no telephone, the television didn’t work, the room couldn’t be properly heated, and the walls and ceiling were so thin that I could hear every footstep and conversation from the room above. It was impossible to get a good night’s sleep under these conditions. When I approached the staff about the malfunctioning TV, their response was shockingly unprofessional. Instead of addressing the issue, I was told it wasn’t their problem and that I could “find another hotel”—this, after the room was already paid for. To make matters worse, I was told to be “grateful” for having a bed, which was both dismissive and insulting. A simple apology or an effort to find a solution would have gone a long way, but instead, I was met with indifference and arrogance. I fully expect the management to respond to this review with a professional tone, offering excuses like it being a Saturday night and claiming they couldn’t fix the TV. This is a great hotel for accessibility in Venice. Easy to get to from the main bus terminal and easy to walk to other Venice sites and restaurants. The front desk staff was very responsive and easy to work with when our flight was delayed and we had to check in late. Be sure you read the check in policy, as the front desk is not manned after 7pm local time without arrangements. Room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

We had a great stay at Ca’ Doge. Super easy location to get to from the train or bus. Other hotels more inland would be harder to wheel your suitcases up the steps to get across bridges. Quick and easy check in and check out.

Located close to the bus stop. Hotel was generally old, but functional. Room was large and clean, but took two showers and very little hot water. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to the train station and buses. It is definitely not a scenic area. The hotel is clean enough. The beds are comfortable enough. There was no elevator so be prepared to drag your bag upstairs. There was one benefit that no other hotel has had and that was air conditioning. It's good for an overnight but that's enough.

The room was very clean and comfortable, super close to the train station, close to the ferry and the bus station. Good restaurant arround the area, the room was quiet and dark at night to have a good night sleep, we had an electric kettle, tea and coffee in the room, the bed was very comfortable

It was the biggest room we had on our trip lol the bathroom was much larger as well! It is so conveniently placed we were about 20 minutes from anything we wanted to do. We were near the ferries, the train, the bus. It is incredibly convenient.

Excellent hotel. It's tough to find hotels that accommodate parking- especially Venice. This hotel has parking on site. Walk across the street to the first bridge into Venice. The rooms are spacious, clean and they were the first hotel of our trip to offer coffee in the room. Highly recommend this hotel

My family and I were here for 1 night on 16th of February. Upon check in we were kindly greeted. Check in was smooth and efficient. We were able to check in early and that was perfect after our 4 hour train ride from Rome. Be aware that there is no lift/elevator. We made sure to walk around with our socks on as the carpet looked gross with the stains. We had an early morning flight, so we chose this place as it's conveniently located across the street from the bus station. The 2 restaurants across the street are pretty good. We slept comfortably and glad the amenities worked as they should.

A great position for transport in and out of Venice. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the property is in serious need of a complete renovation. An example was the shower head which was so covered in mould that we felt it unsafe to use it. We would not recommend this hotel now despite having stayed here many times.

Ca Doge: Not working at all- Cable and TV not hooked up to WiFi so no capability access any of any platforms rendering the tv obsolete Safe was unable to be programmed to lock (and reportedly done this way intentionally per hotel rep) Heat did not allow seasonal adjustment for heat WiFi signal was so weak that we are unable to complete some searching tasks much less even see Netflix on our phone. Water temperature in shower was restricted to a tepid temperature at best - the combination of the heat not working and no ability to take hot shower, we spent the afternoon and evening under sheets reading our Google news on the phone which we could have done 4,000 miles closer to home We did approach front desk representative the first time re the cable (first item noticed) and she was so apathetic and disengaged re any restoration (stated that they were aware but no time frame or customer service re its cable access to be returned) that we just walked to consider accepting the deficiency. However, after noticing the other items, we reached the point where one last attempt to rectify was presented. The one item that we were successful was the heater. I must say that we are not snobby hotel tourists expecting the finest. Those items listed above would be present in any hotel accommodation a third of the price paid. We therefore made reservations at a hotel that was less than half the price requesting a refund the next morning.
