DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix North

Pool was not in service and that was a main reason I chose this hotel. While checking in they wanted to charger me for the room when I had already paid for it through Expedia. I had to explain to the supervisor I had already paid. Wish it wasn’t paid so I could leave and find a hotel with a pool but unfortunately Expedia would not refund

This facility is very nice. I’ve stayed in different hotels at Phoenix and so far this has been the best. FYI the Pool has been under construction for the last few years. Other than that I like everything about it.

One of 2 elevators was out of order and the other one was old and felt a bit scary. Room was a bit smelly and old. It was Ok since we just stay one night, late checking in and early checking out. I would not like to stay longer.

Fantastic customer service during my stay. Fast and efficient with every request. Will definitely come back when in Arizona. The property is safe with security present in parking lot.

Very disappointed that the website shows several different pictures of your pool… only to find out your pool has been inoperable for over a year…it’s literally a pile of dirt. Our plans were to lay by the pool on our stay in Arizona 100 degree temperature…very disappointed

Nice touches here, like coffee available in the lobby in the morning. A reasonable breakfast buffet and menu available. The room is a nice size with comfortable beds. Very nice staff, good amenities like fitness facilities and extra lobby sitting areas and outdoor spaces. Also, a delicious chocolate chip cookie with check-in. Bonus!

Hotel staff was very professional and courteous as well. Some renovations taking place so the pool was not available.

There was no pool it was under construction and I was not notified of this. Our toliet got clogged twice. The ice machine closest to us was out of service.

Lamp covers on the side of the bed falling apart. Stains in carpet. Air conditioning turns on and you think a jet plane flying over your head. Problems getting wi-fi. Pool has been closed for over a year. 2 police 4x4’s in front when you arrive. I am a Hilton card member and rewards client and never have seen this before. $170 for a terrible night! Hilton needs to visit this hotel.

AC was not working in my room. It was a hot night and only the fan was working. There was only 1 elevator working as well. And the pool was not in service. It sucked

Rooms smell of animal urine. The second room we were given smells like wet dog and multiple stains on the carpet and chair.

Upon arrival we felt things were great. Lobby was very nice and the staff was great. It was the room we weren’t ok with. It seemed to be clean but the bathtub was pretty run down. Day two of our stay we had a staff member wake us up staying that another guest said they seen a water bug come through our room door. He looked around and couldn’t find anything. He said “if you find it just kill it”. 10 min later we found the “water bug” (roach). We killed it of course. Next morning we found another one on our curtain. We asked the cleaning staff on our 3rd day there for a big garbage bag to gather our garbage and take it out. Cleaning ladies seemed bothered that we asked for one. The beds were comfortable and sheets seems to be clean. The roaches is what made our experience not so great!

The hotel is dated. The hallway really smells bad. The rooms are very dated with paint peeling off the walls. The toilet in the room was unclean with a black ring around it. The vents in the room were rusted and the air conditioning is loud. Don’t stay here! The area is full of homeless people.

Do not trust the pictures!!!! This place is so run down. Many things out of order, unavailable or broken. The pool is drained and closed. Ice makers out of order. They advertise wine (i NEEDED something after checking into this dump after traveling all day to ease the pain)but of course they were out of stock. The view from my window was 13 homeless people and barking dogs. I could here the people in the toom next to me when they whispered or sneezed. The rooms are awful. Coffee maker is arms reach from the toilet, no locking door bathroom privacy. Smells like stale cigarettes and bleach. Very sketchy area, definitely no safety. The lounge outdoor areas were caution taped off and everything in general is just dated. They polished a turd.If it wasnt so late when i checked in, Id have immediately left and found something else. Very disappointed considering most hiltons ive stayed at are amazing and have high standards. Zero stars!

Only there one might, so it was ok. The property needs a deep clean. Carpet is dirty. Really dirty. Room had an odd odor to it. Oddly enough the doors were VERY heavy. Great for noisy, but not so great for opening and closing. Took two hands to even budge the bathroom pocket door. Hotel is located in a declining area. Park at your own risk signs everywhere. On the upside the staff was friendly and helpful. However, due to the declining area I would not choose to stay there again.

I was looking forward to my first stay at a DoubleTree Hotel, as I’ve heard good things from my peers. Unfortunately, my visit to a DoubleTree Hotel was less than memorable. Upon check in, we never received a cookie, as DT proudly solicits. When we got to our room and opened the door, we were greeted with a strong Mildew smell (like a mildewed towel) that seemed to be coming from the air conditioning. It aggravated allergies and thought I was getting sick but once I got outside symptoms cleared up. So I suggest that air conditioner be checked, it is gonna cause major health problems at some point. The bed was very hard, but I enjoyed the bedding and pillows. The pillows were very comfortable. The caulking on the inside of the shower was coming off in some areas and looked like mold starting to grow in some areas. Carpets were very dirty in the room as well as the hallway common areas. The smell of marijuana filled the hallway every day we were there, and the pool area also. Breakfast…we arrived to restaurant at 10:20am. Few people eating, but Stood waiting to be seated for 10 minutes before another patron told a busser to help us, the hostess was nowhere to be found. $17.99 for a continental breakfast, where most places would be offered for free. Hostess refused to make more coffee because it was “10:30am and they shut down at 11am for breakfast.” a supervisor made coffee for all 3 tables and apologized. I wish my experience was better.

Comfortable. But no hangers for wet towels to hand. I think the tv remote batteries were dead. Electric dockets by the bed headboard too loose to hold phone charger so phone could not be on nightstand, had to be on the desk thank you

Didn’t sleep well as the room would not cool down. Checking in and set ac for 67 degrees and didn’t cool left to a concert came back and it was still warm no matter what it said we needed a fan they hotel was sold out and I disnf sleep welll. They didn’t offer no discount for the inconvenience either

Personally think it was too expensive for the area it is in. The room was nice however the screen door was janky and the AC wasn’t very powerful. The outlets beside the bed were so loose my charger would slip out.

My stay was good overall — the room was comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed. The only minor issue was that the outlets were loose, so it was a bit tricky to keep things plugged in. It wasn’t a big deal, just slightly inconvenient at times. Other than that, everything was manageable and I had a pleasant stay.

The beds are extremely hard. The entire hotel smells musty. The rooms need updating. Our AC unit felt more like a swamp cooler and was noisy. The water got all over the floor from the shower. Just like most hotels 2 queen beds are advertised but they are not queen size beds.

I am not one to only report negatively, however, my experience was not pleasant in any regard. The hotel refused to honor my reservation to extend my stay and cited the fact that I did not have a physical credit card, although the management had verified through email ahead of time that my digital wallet would be sufficient. The staff also told me that they would not honor my reservation nor grant a refund due to the fact that i had voiced concerns about them not having a wheelchair available for guests to use. I was having medical issues that make it difficult to walk and had asked the night staff if one was available. When i tried to check in for my new reservation, I was told that the general manager had sent a memo not to honor my extension. At that time I asked to speak to the GM and was told they were out until next week. I was also told that no refund would be honored nor granted.

Five stars on customer service! Hotels.com did not send our reservation over to the hotel so when we showed up there was no room for us!! Juan was amazing and took good care of us! Thank you.

The ladies at the front were so nice and check in was easy and headache free. Felt safe as they had security walking the floors. My room was quiet and clean. Just an all around great hotel at a great rate! Thank you so much.

Everything was fine but the check in. The lady in front was very rude and not helpful at all just expected us to know everything when we checked in. But everything else was perfect.

I did not stay there and they would not help me cancel my stay. I had a family emergency and spent three different days on the phone with hotel manager Juan Chavira trying g to cancel my stay or get the contact info for someone who could help me. I was hung up on two separate times and given a number to someone who was unable to help. HORRIBLE customer service

Checked us in early for a small fee. We had a dr surgery appointment & wanted to check in before instead of after. They were very accomodating

I travel a lot and I've never received such great customer service. We had a teething baby with us and were allowed to check in a couple hours early. This was an amazing help after our long travel. The room was clean and they even supplied us with a roll away bed. They called prior to entering the room due to me traveling with my service animal. I can't thank you all enough for your great service and smiling faces. Unfortunately I have memory issues and didn't remember the staffs name. But everyone I delt with was top notice polite

The staff was very friendly. The location is great because there are many restaurants within walking distance. The hotel was a little older, the elevators were hot ( but it was the summer). But overall it was a good experience.

Hotel in bad area. It smelled bad and it’s very rundown.Needs TLC.

Stayed here for the Morgan Wallen concert. It was a great place and a short drive to State Farm Stadium.

Nice place close to freeway

It is easily reached, great staff and facilities. Some nearby amenities. Too many homeless, but plenty of security everywhere. It was not a problem, but you need to be aware.

Property is surrounded by dining establishments in walking distance. Not very noisy and area is pretty clean. Hotel itself was great, no complaints.

Bed was a bit uncomfortable and tv is in an awkward spot you have to turn it in order to watch tv from the bed. But other than that it was a good hotel! Location is great too so many restaurants near by! I would stay again!

With our big group we were not able to bring in food and use common area like a meeting room. There was a large number of homeless in the area, but the hotel did have security.

Great experience, staff was professional and friendly, hotel was nice, clean and quiet. My boys and I had a fun stay! I thought that breakfast was included, I’ve come To expect that for the price of a hotel room, especially in these trying financial times. Sadly tho breakfast was not free, and they wanted $18.99 for the breakfast buffet per person, or they had a menu. One breakfast burrito cost $15!!! Outrageous. In the future I’ll be looking for a hotel that gives me free breakfast.

I’ve stayed here before in another area of the building and the room was much nicer. The room looked far below Hilton Doubletree standards. Bathroom door was split/chipped off on the corner, dirt built up in the corners of the bathroom, the bathroom/air conditioner fan roared constantly, the bed was mediocre-not the typical mattress, the food in the restaurant wasn’t even cafeteria quality. The breakfast was terrible, rubber eggs, rubberized pancake, oatmeal was like soup and had pieces of something in it, I should have had boxed cereal. Not worth the money. Dinner the night before wasn’t even as good as McDonalds. I’ll think twice about booking here again. I had liked it before, not eaten here, but the room was far better. The staff is always nice, the only positive. Hilton you need to fix this place. Oh and the pool is empty, in Phoenix, so no amenities.

The restaurant could've used some extra hands the night we went. Took a long time and food was definitely just OK. There are plenty of places to eat in the area. The rest of the hotel was just fine. We will use again on that side of town when necessary.

Remote in room was not working, thermostat in room wasn't adjusting to our request. Very clean, quiet, good breakfast!

The room was fine. There were a lot of homeless in that area and we didn’t always feel safe coming home late. Not a lot of great options to eat in the area but the Mexican fast food across the street was great. The hotel restaurant was closed at dinner time. Maybe it’s just open for breakfast?

It was a good stay all in all. The cookies ROCKED!!! However, we were NOT impressed with the restaurant was over priced and basically all Mexican food except for breakfast buffet at $18.00 per person!!! The people at the front desk were GREAT!!! VERY personable and cheerful. One last comment, Hilton you REALLY need to replace or fix the pocket doors!! Ok rant over
