Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Airport

This hotel is excellent. The restaurant was five star (out of 5). Service excellent. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Spacious room, nice landscaping around pool, cramped fitness center, hot tub jets were weird

Tried calling to get shuttle-5X no answer. Had to take an Uber

This was a wonderful experience. Shuttle to and from airport was on time, quick and drivers were very nice. Lobby staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was worth the cost and the server was pleasant and efficient. Room was large, clean, great shower head and bed was very comfortable. A all the way!

General run down feeling to the public areas and room. Pool was not very nice and our son opted not to swim due to the appearance of the water.

No real problems except there were very few chairs/chaise lounges at the pool, so we had to make do without.

From check in to check out, the customer service was A+. The hotel is very nice. The food at the restaurant is delicious. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. When it was time to take the shuttle to the airport, the shuttle was inoperable. A taxi was made available, free of charge, by the hotel. Was not able to take in all of the amenities, but will definitely stay here again so that I can. This is one of my best stays with Hilton.

Close to interstate but not loud inside. Front attendant wasn’t rude but not overly friendly or welcoming. Pool was clean, hot tub looked like algae but maybe not- I didn’t chance it. Waffle House in the same parking lot. A business park/industrial area, close to colleges too. Overall I’d stay again.

The property was clean and nice, but the parking spots are so small you can barely fit in and get out of your car. We're small people.

There is nothing “exceptional” about this place. With so many choices by Sky Harbor, this would be the bottom of the list. First, the room was stuffy and we couldn’t regulate the temp and had to shut the unit off. The carpet was filthy, the hallways- and to a lesser extent-room smelled like cigarette smoke. Then came breakfast. There was no signage saying the breakfast was $13.95 pp. I’ll was terrible quality but that is beside the point. Other guests were surprised at the charge ado since it looked like any other complimentary breakfast buffet- overcooked egg and bacon and gross sausages. We ate it because we thought it was included in the room otherwise we would not have. Only after I complained did they put up a sign saying the breakfast cost. Very deceptive. I’ve traveled extensively, stayed in many, many hotels and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had in a long long time. I will NEVER stay at a Hilton property again- and certainly not this one. I’m telling family and friends who fly in and out of Phoenix to avoid this place like the plague!

Very clean and modern rooms. Great hotel

The people at the front desk were welcoming, friendly and efficient. The hotel was spotless and the room had everything we needed. The children had a great time at the pool!

Room and bathroom were clean. Staff is always present at the front desk. Staff very polite and helpful.

I booked this stay based off of other amazing reviews and just didn’t have the same experience as everyone else. The bed hurt my back so badly I had them deliver multiple comforters to add some layers for sleep. Our room wasn’t the cleanest and obviously hadn’t been vacuumed or thoroughly cleaned in some time. Bathroom was really clean though and the shower probably had the best water pressure we’ve ever experienced! Breakfast options were meh, but the customer service in that area was really nice. Front desk staff was kind of stand offish, but they did meet all of our expectations and needs when requested. We had to book this stay last minute and the price just wasn’t worth the quality. If you can get this hotel at a reasonable rate and are comfortable with a 2-3 star hotel, it might be worth it to you to stay here!

Rooms are outdated.

The customer service was actually pretty awesome. Nadia at the front desk was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The rest of the hotel is OK. Things are a little worn and dated except for the main lobby. The shower, however it was excellent.

AC blows cold air directly at nearest bed and is noisy. Better if adjustable vent that could be pointed upwards. Parking space supply is shared and very tight on spaces. Good access to airport rental return.

The King bed only room was very spacious.

The Hotel was very clean and staff was nice. My only issue was the A/C in all the rooms are inadequate for the Arizona heat. The first room I went into from check in was 87 with the air set on 70. Left for 2 hours for dinner came back and it was still 87. They moved me to another room which was a little bit better but not much. The room never dropped below 81 all night. I stayed her for one night but stayed at a different hotel in Mesa for 3 nights before this stay and the A/C worked great! My room reached 67 degrees every night. During the day it was around 72, which is fine. I will not stay here again because of the A/C.

Everything was excellent except that my room was next to the back entrance so it was noisy. The rest was awesome!

This hotel carries Hilton name but it is not really a Hilton. The AC was really LOUD like a jet engine. I had one of my worst night sleep. There wasn't enough coffee in the morning and when we asked they didn't have any. Over all I will never book this hotel.

The noise from the room above sounded as if they were stomping around. The carpet in the hallways was rippled and a trip hazard. Won’t stay here again.

Overall it was a good stay but very noisy.

Wow! Great service at the Hotel. There was a problem with Hotels.com. The date of check in was changed and confirmed with the hotel but they had no record of the reservation at the hotel. Nancy and Daniel did their best to resolve the issue but Christina was called in to take care of it. (New software system) The hotel employees were very accommodating. We were given a free drink at the nearby bar. Adam the bartender was fantastic! We stayed and ordered a meal. Again. Fantastic! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I don't think I have had more friendly service anywhere!! Thank you Nancy and Daniel, for doing all you could to resolve the issue. And thank you Christina for getting it done! Great price for long term parking and free shuttle service to the airport. Shuttle service was on time, 4am, and professional. I give this hotel a 10+ and will not hesitate to stay here again!

Communication at the front desk was poor. It took a long time to check in and the the staff failed to mention that the shuttle will not drop off at the terminal but only at the train station. This lack of information resulted in a difficult arrival requiring multiple elevators, a crowded train ride and a very long walk to check in. The front desk did point at a sheet of paper that explained the situation, but unless one was looking for it, it was difficult to see. Problems would have been avoided if this fact would have been mentioned at check and shuttle reservation.

Everything was great with the expecting of check in. Granted we did check in late (between 12am-1am), when we arrived we waited 10 minutes before someone checked us in. We tried saying “excuse me” to see if anyone was in the back room and got no answer. We called the main phone and it just kept ringing and nobody got up to get it. Finally, I went on the Hilton app and messaged for help and she must have been alerted then that someone was waiting to be checked in. All of this didn’t bother me so much, but what bothered me most was that she didn’t even apologize that we had been waiting. She walked out from the back room (which was a second walk to the desk) and just stared at me until I said something.. not even a “I’m so sorry or how can I help you?” This part was a poor experience. But the facility overall was great!

Receptionist definitely needs improvement. Dining staff was wonderful!

Convenient to the airport, decent rooms, AC could be better (room reached 76 degrees during peak outside temp of 103). Main issue was the front desk morning staff. The lone front desk staff would not check folks in before 3pm unless you paid $50 to check in early (supposedly no rooms would be ready before 3pm unless you paid). I arrived around noon and was prepared to wait a while if need be… but had never heard a hard rule about no one getting into rooms before 3pm unless you paid. I nicely settled into the lobby to wait/do work in my phone. One guest got angry and called corporate and eventually was promised his and his friends rooms would be ready by 1pm (it was ~1215), without extra charge. Magically, when the afternoon staff came on duty around 2pm, anyone coming in was immediately checked into rooms with no issues/delays. The morning front desk person had clocked out without saying a word to the folks scattered around the lobby and elsewhere on the property (4-6 rooms worth of people) - all waiting until 3pm to check in. Within 10 mins of her departure (and witnessing new folks come in and immediately getting into their rooms), the very courteous afternoon staff was checking all folks into rooms. Waiting in the lobby for ~2 hrs was not a hardship, but it was not good customer service (I have worked at the front desk of hotels myself and never would have kept folks out of clean/ready rooms). Afternoon front desk staff was great, professional, courteous, etc.

Front desk staff on Sunday morning was horrible and that is all it takes. All future stays will be at Marriott properties.

Most of the Staff was extremely helpful Except for one front desk clerk who probably thought she could treat customers as she pleased There where plenty of rooms available at check in but she made us wait until she was ready and the gave us the room furthest from the front entrance Knowing We had our hands full with luggage

On April 23, 2024 check-in was a complete nightmare! The front desk "manager" was unable to check in my husband since I made the reservation (I\'m Gold HH member) and my travel plans changed and I was overseas. It was past midnight in Europe and I had no cell service. My husband had to call me via WhatsApp. The "manager", Cassandra Garcia, would not let me give permission for him to check in. I was tired and angry and asked for the GM of the hotel. She refused AND asked me to not yell at her. ANGER OVERLOAD! She told me to go to Expedia to add my husband\'s name to our room. Expedia had the reservation locked! I had no cell phone to call Expedia. MORE FRUSTRATION. Finally a chatbot got me to an Expedia person who put me on hold to add his name. I called my husband back via WhatsApp and the inept manager checked him in. I don\'t like this "policy" at all. I\'ll get better service at Sheraton or Marriott!

Convenient location to the airport

It’s inconvenient if you want to walk to restaurants or shopping. It’s in the warehouse district and nothing close unless you drive.

Nice quiet room for a 1 night stay. It's fairly near the airport, as well as downtown areas. The room was clean and fairly well maintained. Parking was a bit of a challenge, there was plenty but if you come in late there will be a bit of a walk. Breakfast buffet is available at a price but I like the waffle house right off the front entry for a better value.

Convenience to airport; not many bars in the area tho.

The food service was horrible … we sent our food back and it was returned cold and inedible. The service was slow and people were complaining. One lady had her bill forgiven but not us. I paid $33 for 2 meals we couldn’t eat. Shameful!!!! The airport transportation was acceptable but the Van used was definitely not designed for disabled or elderly folks like us. At least the bed was comfortable.

Everything was great but thought the stay included complementary breakfast but had to pay extra.

Because we had an early morning flight we opted for dinner at the hotel. The steaks were cooked perfectly to our preferences and the bartender/ server was a credit to the hotel. He was attentive and friendly!

Close to airport-great shuttle service! Front desk girl was very nice and helpful. Dinner staff was late opening for service. I went next door to the Waffle House.
