Good place to base camp to explore Redwood National Park. Room was muggy and stinky like the carpets had been cleaned and never dried out. Fitness room was okay... Bike screen was out of order, sauna was out of order, shower was not functioning, and a treadmill was out of order. Breakfast was great. If it hadn't been for the room smell I would stay here again.

Great hotel. There was a beautiful pond in the back from where you could hear the frogs sing. Nice pool. Only problem was they closed it the 2nd day or our stay and the kids were super disappointed. They should have told us at check-in so we could manage expectations!

We stayed at the Bayshore Inn for two nights in the back building, in an upstairs room. The hotel is not what it claims online or in its pictures. It is more like an over-priced motel. - The rug was stained and dirty. I was willing to overlook the rug given all the hotels in Eureka are over priced and we booked last minute. - The jacuzzi had couple of human hair in it. - Breakfast was okay. Usual eggs, waffles etc. it lacked variety. - The icing on the cake was the fact that we had fleas in our room!!! I was bit in 10 different spots on my feet and lowers legs and my son 7 times. I was waking up with bites but didn't think much of it until on the day we were going to check out - we found more fleas and more bites. After checking out, I called the hotel to complain about the fleas (apparently they don't allow dogs in the back building but I saw a dog in the room across from us!). I was told by different people it was not something they could help me with, since I booked third party - hotels.com. I was also told by Tina that I probably got bit outdoors, even though I explained I wore shoes and socks the whole time I was out and I was bit on my feet, in the hotel bed. Also, the interior of the office building is deceptively nice compared to the hotel rooms! Don't be fooled! I would NOT recommend anyone stay here. Save your money and find an air*** or even camp! They clearly want to TAKE YOUR money but are UNWILLING to provide the SERVICE THAT YOU PAY FOR.

Unsafe area outside. A sense of safety once inside. Beautiful koi pond, trees & flowers. Comfortable bed. Parking area sketchy, with multiple individuals clearly under the influence of drugs cruising the parking lot. Room smelled like pet urine, stains on the carpet; management did not seem to care. No discount offered or an apology, over priced for the area & amenities.

There was trash on the floor in between the fake fireplace and tv cabinet. The jetted bath tub had black/gray sludge on the jet openings that was not properly cleaned. The outside of the hotel is prettier than the inside of the room that was old and dated with an old smell inside as well. Our “bay view” was mostly blocked by other buildings with maybe 25% of the view being the actual bay, which is really milking it and misleading advertising. For the price we paid, we have stayed in much nicer places. People were smoking outside in the parking lot constantly. The TV is old and doesn’t allow connecting to your phone for streaming. There was a nice breakfast area with free breakfast that was actually pretty good, think iHop style. It was quiet and we did not hear any neighbors. The employees were great, friendly and hardworking (except for whoever “cleaned” our room).

We asked for the quiet room and ended up being next to the social courtyard area where others could be heard talking past 10pm. The pool was cold, 70 degrees and according to the maintenance person, a few degrees lower than the operating range of 74 to 84 degrees.

The continental breakfast alarm was worth to stay here. The continental breakfast was amazing, and we enjoyed it both mornings that we were here. The only drawback is the noise of the traffic. Because the hotel is located right off the 101.

Room was very spacious and clean. Reception personnel were awesome and friendly. Jetted tub was nice, not strong on the jets though. Breakfast was very good with a lot of variety. Only negative was we had booked a room with an advertised fireplace (even showed in pics on web) but upon arriving found out they are phasing them out. Little disappointed as this was our 44th anniversary and love the ambience of a fireplace. Otherwise a great stay.

Rooms, convenience, staff, breakfast were all great. Only reason I didn’t give five stars was that our room backed the street where trucks park for the night. They come and and go early and it’s very noisy. It’s nobody’s fault, but I would suggest getting a room that isn’t next to that street

Our couch cushions would not stay on and kept slipping off every time we sat down. Come to find out, they were supposed to be attached to the pull out bed and were not. We didn’t realize this until late in the night. There was no where else to sit except on the bed, but we purchased this room for the living space which was seriously lacking. There was no table of any kind, making it difficult to find a place to set food or beverages on. Bathroom sink leaks onto countertop.

The gentleman who worked the front desk upon checkout was extremely nice.However , the staff afterwards , not so much. I tried to bring things to the attention but was simply overlooked and pretty much told that i've already prepaid and there'll be no refund.

Starting at check-in, everyone was wonderful. Riley helped us check in and was so kind and knowledgeable about operations. The next morning at breakfast the man and woman cleaning and stocking breakfast items were very helpful and went out of their way to accommodate us. Maria and Tina were also very friendly and helpful during breakfast. We stayed in the 3 Queen suite for 3 nights. It wasn’t long before we ran out of towels. Zac helped us get some fresh towels. We will definitely be staying again next time we’re in town.

Somehow our reservation got canceled and they had no more rooms. A couple who already had checked in had an issue with another occupant and decided to leave and we were able to get that room. But we had reserved a room with two queen beds and the room we got was a just a king bed for us three. Was a very uncomfortable night.

Young employee at front desk check in was brisk and kind of unpleasant. Rude with answers to your questions. Saying things like...I already told you that and the schedule is right there and pointing. The person checking in prior to myself had to inquire several times what the delay was as it is check in time. She was told that she was assigned a room, just waiting to hear if it was clean yet. After a few more minutes she was given a key. My turn.. same experience....I go upstairs and it turns out that we were given the room in question! The bathroom floor had long dark hair all over and the toilet seat had a "repaired" damaged spot on it. Was very rough and scratched my leg/hind end as I sat down. That's how I found it! The air conditioner barely worked and had to open the window to busy street.

Great location, dog pet friendly. Carpets need cleaning. I had white socks on and were black by end of our two night stay. Room location was tucked in corner, not much natural light, dark room. Very nice staff and security around parking. A few homeless passed through parking lot. Close to mall & big box shopping.

Unfortunately, a large transient homeless population encircled the hotel, including entering the hotel lobby looking for food and restrooms. Interior of rooms were dated and in need of an upgrade.

When we pulled into the lot, I wasn't sure about the neighborhood,but I was pleasantly surprised. Room was very clean. The breakfast in the morning was the best motel breakfast ever. Would recommend to anyone.

Always a solid place to stay in the Eureka Area. It is clean, and the staff is always friendly. It is a great place to stay if you are bringing your pets, and just a short walk to a small beach for the dogs.

The Sunday breakfast was delightful. Rosemary roasted potatoes. Homemade biscuits and gravy. The receptionist with the beard was amazing and helpful. Drew me a map of great trails and how to time the tides and fog.

Excellent service, we loved the pool and hot tub and especially liked the frogs calling in the koi pond area at night. Breakfast hit all the marks, great waffles, bacon, omelets, hard boiled eggs and even biscuits and gravy in a modern, clean dining room. Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. No complaints at all!

The breakfast was excellent. The coffee pods in the room were awful. The brand you have is not good. The coffee pot might need to be cleaned out. We should have had room service but we didn’t call for room service. That was on us. We had to empty the garbage every day. It was nice that there was 2 rooms.
