Super helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were nice. The swimming pool was cold but bearable. The hot tub was perfect. The parking lot was safe though super tight spaces for cars.

The hotel was comfortable. We had a good night's sleep. The breakfast was good and many choices. Our kids enjoyed having the pool, but we felt the indoor pool area was very dark, humid and that there may have been too much chlorine in the water, as our eyes got irritated fast, even with goggles. We hung out for breakfast and noticed that the maids were running vaccuums in the area which made it hard to talk (we couldn't hear each other) and just a lot of noise. It's great they're cleaning but we'd have preferred that was limited outside of the breakfast hours.

I was really impressed by this property. It has a spacious lobby with plenty of seating & an indoor pool and spa. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with many options: biscuits and gravy, pancakes, yogurt, cereal, scrambled eggs, omelets, juices, coffee, tea and water. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. The location is great. There is a Costco w/in walking distance (rear adjacent) which is super convenient for gas, quick bites and any essential travel supplies. I recommend Adel's restaurant across the street for breakfast , lunch and dinner! I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was very conveniently located and had many amenities. The staff was professional and friendly. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. The fridge had crumbs inside. There was food and garbage left under the sofa bed. Generally, the room didn't seem to be cleaned very thoroughly.

We like the indoor pool. The breakfast area was very clean. We have stayed at this hotel annually. It used to be very clean. This is the second time in a row that our room has had an issue with smell. The floors need to be mopped in between visitors! Also, no one told us that we had to request the room to be cleaned if we’re staying for multiple days. We were not even offered fresh towels. I had to call down for them.

Our room was so dirty. The sofa bed had white crusty stains all over ewwww. It was ripped and also had cigarette burns on it even though I swear it said no smoking. Breakfast was truly disgusting, when the kids wont even eat there is a problem. Sticky marks all over side tables in our room light fixtures covered in crud and hair, hair in towels. I have no idea whats going on there we stayed in the same hotel in portland the night before and it was excellent. Nothing offered as an apology other then sorry about that after showing the pictures to front desk who agreed it was disgusting and they also wouldn’t sleep on that sofa bed

Great front desk service! As usual in my experience, Holiday Inn Express employees always deliver! The rooms are always spotless, and well-appointed , the beds comfortable, always a nice warm shower and a great breakfast after a good night’s rest. I like that they always have good recommendations for dinner- they’ve never steered us wrong .

The rooms where very clean beds where comfortable and good size only thing wierd was you had to use your key card to turn on the entry light that was kind of a pain since you have your hands full most of the time.

Room was clean and comfortable. It was larger than we expected and had most everything that we wanted. A room safe would be great. Bed was hard but pillows were soft so that was good. We got the suite so having the extra room was great for our trip. Breakfast was better than average.

Pros: nice breakfast service. Kept well-stocked and very clean. Lobby was spacious and a good congregating spot. Cons: room way too small. No extra chairs or sofa to spend time on. Room was very cramped. AC blows right on bed w no ability to angle. Beds were poorly made (sheets don't fit right) and mattress too soft. Bed covers felt cheap and not in great shape.

The hotel was very clean, staff were friendly and breakfast was plentiful and hot. My bed in room 230 was VERY firm though. Maybe it was the luck of the draw. I prefer a softer bed but some don't. The bathroom fan motor was siezed and just let out a hum. I meant to tell the desk but forgot. Everything else was top notch.

Excellent service, and the room was very clean. However, when we left the hotel and arrived in San Francisco, I realized I had left my jacket in the room. I called the front desk, and they quickly checked the room and confirmed they had found my jacket. They took my email address, had me fill out a form, and sent the jacket back to me the next day.

Poorly trained staff. As I was leaving the lady who checked me out didn't offer to print a receipt. I then asked for one. She informed me that because I had used expedia she could not get one for me. That's a first. It's going to make turning in a expense report a real hassle.

We recently enjoyed our stay at a Holiday Inn Express in Hollister, and we decided to see how they did in Eureka. Very well, is the answer. Nice, spacious room, decent bed, nice tv, fridge, microwave, good shower, fine breakfast, courteous staff. The channel guide on the tv is lame, but that's the provider's fault, not HIE, and it included plenty of channels. It's not a really walkable neighborhood, with not much interesting right nearby, unless you mean Costco. But, why would you be in Eureka without a car? Short drives all you need, including plenty of dispensaries in the area, if that's your thing. However, if you're in Northern California for the natural resources, as we were, you're in a good spot. Within an hour or so north or south, there are an abundance of beautiful parks with redwoods, elk, coastal beauty, etc. A lovely part of the world.

The hotel was very nice and updated had great breakfast choices, love the waffles. The room was clean and quite it’s right off the 101 so it very convenient location for visiting the redwoods. Close to old town but not walkable to old town unless you want to get a long walk in. Lots of dining options nearby. We look for Holiday inn express on many of our travels because they are very predictable on what to expect.

This was a very nice place to stay in Eureka. We love the Holiday Inn Express brand! The breakfast is a great feature of the hotel and something we look forward too. It includes a lot of hot food options such as eggs, bacon, sausage, & biscuits and gravy. The hotel is very clean and very bright. Rooms are clean and spacious. I only wish the beds were more comfortable. Very thin mattresses and we could feel the springs.

The coffee maker in the room was not cleaned inside had mold. I didn't use it. But the coffee in the breakfast bar was great 👍 & The food was delicious. Great options
