The hotel was nice though old. The bed was very comfortable and the restaurant on site was very good. There is also a great taco shop right next door. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would love to go back. Easy access to the beach, but lots of stairs and very few elevators.

We really like the view, that’s the best part and the reason we stay there. We were shocked by the $45 a night forced valet parking. It’s off season and there is a ton of parking available. We never had forced valet before, so that wasn’t something we expected and put a small damper on the trip.

Air conditioner in my room was screaming loud. They sent someone down to fix it who did get it half as loud but it was still really loud. Came back from my job to find my room door open. Cleaners didn't close the door properly but it didn't close right so I don't blame them. Luckily nothing was missing. hand rail going up to the room were rusted through. 45 dollar a day valet only parking bothered me as well. Never a good surprise. View was incredible from my room. Property doesn't appear to be being maintained

Hottest Hot Tub around, and big enough to not feel crowded. If Location is it, then Pacific Edge is the place. Only complaints would be that they need more ice machines. And of course, they want you to stay there but then gouge you by charging you to park there.

This is our favorite hotel in Laguna. The setup for kids is perfect. Beach, pool, hot tub, and amazing beach amenities all setup for hotel guests. They have boogie boards to lend and lots of sand toys/sand games. It’s easy to get to, great little bar areas, and valet parking is $$ but easy and nice since most everything is walkable!

The room smelled very old, and was outdated, there were short black male curly hairs everywhere on the floor, the bathroom walls had splashes of liquids everywhere, it felt like a cheap motel room on the side of the highway. I did not book a beach front room, so I did not expect beach front. The beach front rooms may be better but the regular rooms were 0/10. Will never book here again. In addition, early checkin would have been 50$ (i was an hour early), and I was not able to park my car until after I checked in otherwise they would charge 16$ extra (car park was already $45 and I parked 4PM-8AM). So I paid for street parking and went somewhere else for the day. I paid a lot less for other hotels that were a LOT nicer! The only thing that was really good was the restaurant, which was absolutely fabulous. Overall, don't stay here and book literally ANY other hotel. But definitely check out the restaurant. The pictures literally look NOTHING like the room i stayed in.

Overall, an okay hotel.close.to many tourist spots and easy access to ocean. I didnt understand why all but thr batheoom and carpet in our room had been renovated: Peeling paint in bathroom and carpet was worn and dirty.

This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. There was mold on the bathroom wall, a piece of the wall that was open to the plumbing in the shower was also open to the garage below. The toilet overflowed without anything except fluid in it, the water went all over the bathroom floor. They did send someone to fix it, but maybe that’s a usual occurrence which would explain the mold on the wall. DO NOT believe the photos on the website. It is clearly false advertising. And if I wanted to be very proactive I could have called the health department to report them (which I didn’t). I alerted the hotel staff to my concerns and they were very considerate but there wasn’t much they could do. They sent me a bottle of wine and removed the resort fee from my bill. They did offer me a different room and I should have moved but I was away from the property so it would have meant coming back to move my bags. They didn’t offer to move them for me, and quite frankly I was concerned that they would just put another unsuspecting guest in the room so I resigned myself to staying there.

Room is incredibly rundown. No screen on the bathroom window. Patches on the walls in the bathroom that are so messy and old and no paint over them. Wi-Fi was terrible. We could barely use it. For 530 a night plus a resort fee I feel like I got ripped off. They offered to move us the second night, but we were already impact and did not want to have to deal with packing things up and moving to another room. We came out for an event on Friday night and did not have time to deal with the terrible room that we had so we could make our event.

We booked a standard room. Unfortunately, some of the standard rooms are better than others. We were on the first floor behind the pool, a walkway and lots of pillars so it felt like we were in a dungeon and weren't able to keep the curtains open without being in full view of anyone walking by. The curtains were also too long so we had to prop them up so they didn't block the air conditioner which was already barely adequate. The bathroom was cramped and did not have a place for toiletries or a place to keep towels accessible. The dresser had a broken drawer and the room was generally dated and needed some improvements. The valet parking was a nightmare and far too expensive. Check in went well but checkout took forever and they did not provide the promised receipt. The location was convenient but I've stayed in far better places in Laguna.

Pacific Edge is an old facility with thin walls. The service was good. The room was clean. It's right on the beach; we could hear the surf. (No beach view from our room.) Access to the beach via private walkway. Walk to food & grocery store.

The website was very deceiving. Pictures showed a modern updated hotel. We were put in an old building that lacked decor and the balcony was over a noisy alley. The sound of air conditioners from surrounding buildings was very overpowering. All in all it felt very over priced. The only upside was that it was roomy and close to downtown

Wonderful hotel room with a good view just what we were looking for. Wish we could have received assistance with the inconveniences we experienced, 2 different associates assured they would send someone over to assist us. Both time that failed to happen, no follow up regarding issue to see if it was resolved. When using text line was left ignored, if no assistance can be provided just be upfront with it don’t just say you’ll have somebody take care of it and no one does.

Amazing stay! Amazing staff! Place was awesome. The parking price was not displayed in the “price you see, is the price you pay”. So when we got hit with another $380 for parking, that was a shock. So would be nice to have a heads up and include that amount in the price ahead. Other than that, the stay was great!

Because we booked through Expedia we were given a very crappy room. Keys didn’t work after multiple key cards were issued. Phone didn’t work so we couldn’t call front desk. Curtain covered the air conditioner. We complained and were moved. Manager didn’t want to talk to me about it. Only one of three front desk people seemed to care. Will never stay there again. Every thing is worn out and needs to be replaced. Bulldoze the place and start over. Only positive were the people at the valet parking.

This is a difficult review to leave because we have stayed at Pacific Edge a few times, and it’s a beautiful oceanfront property, which is where I want to be! But we had a terrible experience on this visit because we had extremely rude and thoughtless guests in the room next to ours. At 6:20am, they were playing VERY loud music, singing, drinking and smoking weed… all things I wouldn’t object to at a normal time of day. I called the front desk, they only made one call to the room, which only resulted in a brief moment of quiet. Because of the way the balconies/rooms, that are oceanfront, are designed, if you have a situation like this, it’s going to be a problem because they are very close to each other. I wish the front desk would have sent someone to the room to handle the situation. We’re pretty sure there were more than the average number of guests staying in the room. Ruined our visit!! So just know, if you have crummy guests in rooms around you, it won’t be a pleasant stay!!!

This place is a scam. Trust me when I tell you not to stay here. They tell you that Expedia is at fault and they blame them, but that is not true. I spoke to Expedia, and they said the pictures came from the property. The worst part about this is that the management knows exactly what they are doing. They have two buildings: one building with a view that you have to pay double the price for, and the other building with the pictures I attached is considered an ocean view. I spoke to two people, and they both hung up the phone without offering any solution. I highly suggest that you pick any other hotel. It's the saddest thing this was my mother's 75th birthday.

My arrival was perfect, and the gentleman who checked me in was exceedingly kind. However, since the telephone was not functioning and the hotel wished to send someone to my room to repair it, I politely declined out of consideration for my family's comfort. Shouldve worked upon arrival. We had breakfast at the Deck and requested a slightly later checkout time, but the hotel refused due to noise complaints. They should have come to my room to inform me, considering my phone was not working.. My family and I hurried back to our room, aware that we had 30 minutes until checkout. To our surprise, we found our keys had been locked. Went to the front desk, staff treated my family like hoodlums, and even yelled at my kids just because they were vocal about us still having time to check out. They checked me out and charged my card before I requested it, even though I still had time. We waited almost 30 minutes to return to our room to collect our belongings. The front desk attendant, after giving me another key, threatened to charge me for another night if we weren't out within 15 minutes, causing us significant stress. Because I had my children with me, I had to hurry, as we needed to go home to prepare for our vacation later that night. I am a busy travel nurse, which explains the delay in leaving this review, which I will also post on other platforms.

Horrible experience this trip. We have been regulars at this hotel for years and generations of family. However, the manager Viq Nolley was beyond rude, inconsiderate, and horrible hospitality. DO NOT RECCOMEND!

The Property Location is Ideal for laguna Beach. you can easily walk everywhere. The hotel is right on the beach and it has a beach that you can go for very long walks on. The bed is comfy and its perfect for a family stay. The towels are not the best but it gets the job done. I believe its a great deal for what you pay for

You can't beat the location, the price and SoCal beach vibes this property offers. It's what a beach hotel should be. Clean, convenient, charming and functional. We really appreciated our small kitchenette, large spacious room, ocean view and incredible walkable location to all the beaches, restaurants and shops without being in the middle of the chaos. Far enough away from main beach, but not too far.

Fabulous staff! The beds were quite comfy and they had very nice linens. The room was lovely, but could’ve used a microwave, small table and chairs and possibly some glasses dishes and even a full length mirror would have been nice. The restaurant had very nice food and the bar tender was fantastic.

With a balcony room literally over the waves, we could not have asked for a better view. The room was spacious and comfortable. The two restaurants on site served delicious food and the staff were friendly and professional. The half-mile walk to downtown and the Pageant of the Master's site were easy to negotiate. Just a few bumps in the stay. The phone and bathroom fan did not work (neither were deal breakers). The air conditioning unit next door is mounted on our balcony and was rather loud. (Similarly, our unit's AC was probably very loud for our next door neighbors.) The one sticky issue was amenities on the beach. Since it is first come, first severed, we went down early to set up our lounge chairs and umbrellas. Since it was still overcast, we went back to our room to wait for the weather and when we return to our chairs, someone had taken them. There was not way to indicate that they were reserved. I hope Pacific Edge sees this and sets up a better system. For future stays we will make sure to leave some person items so there is an indication we are returning. Overall, a very nice stay.

The beach view from our was nice. It was nice to have a balcony. The alley outside our room was very busy, and Very Noisy!!!! At 7 am the trucks started deliverys. The absolute best part of the hotel are the two restaurants. Great locations and good food! Only reason to stay at the hotel is the restaurants!

I stayed here in 2022 and it was a bad experience but you cannot beat the location so I chanced it again. This time was sooooo much better. Right on the sand, you walk to restaurants and shops, and play at the beach all day. Wonderful. A solid room service option would be awesome. We tried to order food but no one ever answered the phone. I paid extra for a balcony overlooking the ocean. It was a walkway that the led to the corner room, so no privacy or chair to sit. Not an actually balcony. A coffee shop close by would be awesome.

The Valets need to get off their phones and communicate with their Guests. I was not offered any assistance with a luggage cart until I had already filled it. The lanai is due for a power wash. Replace the the warped baseboards. The pool and Spa are in dire need of re-plastering. Otherwise, pay the extra and get an Oceanfront Room! The views are breathtaking. The Front Desk Staff is very courteous and the Maids were very attentive. The staff at the Driftwood Restaurant were also terrific. IMHO, the good outweighs the not-so-good...but, with the right touches, this place could give the Surf and Sand a run for the money!

We love this place! The room was clean and had an unbeatable view of one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! We ate at Driftwood kitchen ( 2 minute walk if you walk slowly!). The food was terrific and again, the view is world class. We highly recommend this hotel!
