Second time we stayed at this place when we visited Yosemite. Love the town and the people are amazing in it. Just about an hours drive to the park. Only bad part is swimming pool was closed while we were there. If it is a “must have” I would call before booking.

Mariposa is a cute town outside of Yosemite. 30 minute drive.to the park. Theresa was very kind in checking us in. Our TV wasn't working and she fixed it. The pool wasn't working, which was a pretty big disappointment. Theresa helped find another one to use. Overall good stay for a couple of days.

The hotel was good enough for our stay for the most part. The area was pretty quiet around the hotel. They had good parking, though the parking lot could be a bit small at times depending on how many cars are parked. It was advertised that it had a pool online but when we got there the pool was closed for our entire stay. Our room was adequate and clean. We had trouble with our keys, when we unlocked the door, the key would be stuck and we had to pull super hard multiple times to get it out. On our last night, the key would not open our door, we alerted the front office who couldn’t open it either. They called maintenance and they were very helpful and were finally able to get it open after about 30 minutes of the lock being stuck. Overall the best part of the hotel was the affordability and the cleanliness of the room.

We have a dog, and I would have given a higher rating if there had been facilities for pets to use the bathroom,there was nothing at the hotel. There aren't many options in Mariposa for dogs to take bathroom breaks.

Our 2-night stay at the Mariposa Lodge was perfect. My daughter chose to stay there because of its access to the park. Mariposa is a quaint mountain town we love for its authenticity and warmth. The lodge is in the center of the town, making it walkable, near coffee shops, restaurants, stone and jewelry stores. Our check in was fast and easy. Our room was clean, comfortable and relatively quiet, considering it was next to the road. Every interaction with the staff was positive- friendly and professional. The facility is rustic but well-maintained. One star off because the pool area was closed. Overall, highly recommend. We will be back, for sure.

Clean motel in central area of Mariposa easy walking to many food locations. We had RV and they let us park in front of office. One bummer was the pool is not heated too cold to use.

The entire room was covered in sand. After requesting it to be cleaned, we discovered the source: the AC unit was spewing sand directly onto the bed. When we moved the bed, we even found a yellow scorpion underneath. While a bit of sand might be understandable in certain environments, having an AC blow sand inside the room is unacceptable and clearly points to poor maintenance. Pay US$160 IS A DISRESPECT.

Rustic exterior consistent with the area. Not fancy but completely clean and comfortable. Vacation vibe. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful, attentive and welcoming. Walking distance to central Mariposa, food, and activities. Would stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

This property was cute from the outside, but the overall cleanliness of the place was horrible. We found hair and eyelashes in our sheets. They offered to change rooms , but the manager said absolutely not and kept us in the same one. Once they finished changing the sheets, we continued to look through the room. The drain to the shower had hair in it, the tub didn’t drain. We decided to just go without showering , since we left the following morning. The towel they gave us to put on the floor of the bathroom had hair on it as well. Seems as though their turn over for rooms is less than adequate for the amount of people they have. Overall the younger staff was quite friendly, the manager herself gave us the cold shoulder and shooed us out when we asked if there was a possibility for early check in, since we’ve never been to this hotel before in particular we always ask just because we had been driving throughout the night, went to the Yosemite, and came 45 min earlier than expected. I’ll not be coming back here, but hopefully if you do book with them you have a more pleasant experience than I did.

Lodge is along 140 - can hear cars passing in room. Close to Yosemite (approx. 45 minutes). Great dining options within walking distance - check out The Grove House. Room - okay. Large. Liked having mini fridge and microwave. Carpeting was tattered. Electrical outlets not conveniently located. Noticed what appeared to be a beetle along the baseboard under the bed - luckily as we were packing up to leave.

Overall it was just fine. But the door’s deadbolt didn’t work and very flimsy door. The tv could not be changed away from TNT despite many, many attempts with the remote. Good shower but the only soap was a Facial Bar! Provided shampoo, conditioner and lotion.

The only thing I can say is that the walls are thin so you can kinda hear the next room, even their convos. But it does get quiet at night so you’re able to sleep. Besides that I like how it’s an easy walk to any restaurant or bar

This was a one night stop on our way to Yosemite, and I was surprised how good this little motel was! Very friendly staff, very clean room, comfortable with everything you expect for the price. My husband complained about the noise from the heater as it was cold outside during the night, but I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to stay in the area!

We stayed here twice non consecutively in one week. The first stay was amazing! The second stay, the employee (different from first time) was not kind and inappropriate. We arrived at 3:30 (Expedia says check in at 3), and she was getting into a car to leave and stopped to tell us “I’ll be back check in is at 4” and left for 30 mins. Then, when we were able to check in, she told us one room number, and then gave us a key to a different room. When I said it was the wrong key, she laughed and said “I’m r*******”. We took the key and left. Then, this room was sadly not as amazing as the first. The bathroom was much smaller and the shower did not drain quickly at all. We decided to just shower in the pool at our feet because it was easier than dealing with that employee again. Now knowing both experiences, I would try to request the room we had the first time!

The front desk staffs are terrible. The worst experience ever. They made mistakes when I checked in, then they waked up me 3 times to fix the problem, even after I told them I am sleeping and need to wake up early tomorrow to visit Yosemite. I told them I can come by the front desk when I check out to fix the issues. But they still keep disturbing my sleep by knocking the door and call the phone. Unbelievable. Really bad experience. They are very rude and careless to their customers.

Was harassed by staff member re the service status of my dog. She came to my room and told me that my dog had to be a physical issue service dog. This is the exact opposite of what I was told when I booked the room.At that time they told me I had to show proof that my dog was a service dog. I offered her to show that to her but she did not want to look at it. This whoole thing was very stressful and unpleasant.

I enjoyed my stay at Mariposa Lodge! It was about a 45 minute drive to the Yosemite Park, specifically Arch Rock entrance. The town Mariposa is really small, but it is walkable and has great dining options. Both check in and check out for the hotel were fast and easy. The staff was attentive and quick to help.

Mariposa Lodge was clean and spacious and had everything we needed for our long weekend stay while visiting Yosemite! The staff was friendly and kind. I actually sprained my ankle on the last day we were there and the cleaning staff went out of their way to help me get ice and gave me a plastic bag. I appreciate their kindness so much!

The Mariposa Lodge is quiet, safe, and has friendly and helpful staff. It is on the edge of a very, very small downtown area. The town population is only about 1500 people as far as I can estimate. So if you are expecting lots of fancy shopping and restaurants, you are not in the right place. But if you want to stay in a quaint, outdoorsy place with about 20 small shops and restaurants on the way to the West gate of Yosemite, then this is the place for you and your family.

The property was clean. Surprised $50 charge per pet per night, not pet friendly at all there was no area for the pets to relieve themselves we had to load the dogs in the car and drive a quarter mile to a public park so the dogs could do their business and yet they charge $50 per night per Pet. A surprise the people checking in in front of us with the same thing. On the Expedia hotel listing they say they provide free breakfast also. This is not true they do not provide any breakfast they don't even provide fresh coffee in the mornings you have to go down to the office and they'll give you two packets for the little coffee pot in your room. No sugar or cream just two packets of coffee, ridiculous. Never Again!

Super nice check in - room as expected, with little nice touches - plenty of toiletries. Not much to do in the area- unfortunately a store was being painted and causing lots of noise, so we did not stay longer- en route to Fresno. Great dinner down the street- everything made from fresh ingredients. And again the cinnamon cafe and bakery was our 2nd time.
