Quality Inn Yosemite Valley Gateway

The tv didn’t work and the coffee machine was broken too. The jets in the hot tub are equivalent to a someone with a bendy straw trying to blow bubbles. The staff was amazing and check in was super convenient and breakfast was really good. But for 250 a night and nothing really worked is crazy to me

It was an older property. A bit run down. I tried to use the washer/dryer and the dryer was broken There was only one machine and no note saying it was out of order. When I took my wet clothes to the front desk the young man just looked at me and didn’t say much other than “there Is nothing I can do!” I finally asked for a supervisors help and they did put my clothes in their comercial dryer. The location is in town, so that is a plus!

Hot tub wasn't working. Lots of stairs. Hot breakfast with eggs and sausage and fresh fruit. Decent pricing.

Pretty solid stay. Outdoor pool is available. The water bottles you have to purchase are currently $1, otherwise bring/have your own water. TV channel options are numerous too.

It shows their pictures of pool and jacuzzi on hotels.com. When I check in, the clerk said they are under renovation. I asked why it didn’t show this warning on the website, he said the hotel doesn’t do that. So, is it cheating? I booked for two days. There was no sign of “cleaning” to tell them “please clean my room.” When I came back the second day, it was not cleaned at all. I asked the front desk why it was not cleaned. He said because I did tell them to. Is it weird that you have to call the front desk to clean your room ?

We loved using the outdoor hot tub, made even more convenient that laundry facilities were right next to the pool. Our bathroom floor had shoe footprints on it when we arrived which wasn't ideal. Other than that, the property was clean and we enjoyed our stay.

Check-in was super easy and efficient. Every single front desk staff member we met was so kind and helpful. There’s a nice outdoor hot tub and pool, washer / dryer ($2 wash, $2.50 dry)—the front desk can exchange cash for quarters. We stayed here while doing Yosemite NP, it’s a bit of a drive (~1 hour) but not bad at all.

The staff was friendly and accommodated my request for an early check-in. Other than that, the hotel seemed more like a motel. There was trash scatterd about around the outside. Upon entering the room, I noticed that the carpet was really dirty looking and had a lot of stains. The bathroom had hair on the floor and in the shower. I had to use one of the towels to wipe them both down. The free breakfast was decent. But the dining area was messy and the tables were sticky and needed to be wiped down prior to eating at them. The whole place just seems neglected and in need of much needed repairs. If it weren't for the proximity to Yosemite National Park, I'm wondering if this hotel would still be in business. I won't be staying here again.

Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely room and comfortable. You can request your room to be serviced if you like which is an opt in rather than out, which is great for the environment etc. Would definitely stay again. Breakfast was good, plenty of options to choose from.

We never received maid service the entire stay...

For an older hotel, it was freshly painted and clean and beautiful. The breakfast had plenty of protein. I would definitely stay here again.

In town to see a concert at The Grove House. Accommodations were clean. The beds and pillows very comfortable. Perfect for a quick overnight stay.

We were on the third floor and there was no hot water for us to be able to take a comfortable shower. The TV would not turn on. There was a lot of noise during the night - maybe there was some construction going on nearby.

Stayed two nights. Convenient location but EXPENSIVE for a Quality Inn. Breakfast was ok. Bagels would be better than english muffins and very few fruit options. Tables were not wiped after guest use, most tables were dirty. No access to water other than at breakfast. No microwave in room. Water temp was unreliable. Pool/laundry area was nice and my kids loved it.

Old infrastructure. Noisy. Walls are not sound proof.

The area is very convenient for a Yosemite trip. There was no hot water from the sink, the Wi-Fi wasn’t working, and several plugs were also not working.

The room was clean and comfortable but lacked darkening curtains that completely covered the window.

This is our second stay. 1 hour to main/south Yosemite entrances. Staff was nice and accommodating. Breakfast was fine. Room was clean. A/C worked but loud. Don’t expect an updated hotel room. Room was just OK. It got the job done.

Bed was very uncomfortable. It sink in the middle. Shower head was super low.

The beds were too firm, shower water went from hot to very cold when showering and toilet was too small.

Hotel was clean and met our needs. Decor is dated. Our biggest complaint is that we did not think the bed was very comfortable

Staff needs training, Young man at the desk did not even look at me, and seem he just did not want to be bother.

Young girl on reception was rude and needs to learn that Customers are not an irritation but are the people that help pay her salary. I don’t need my holiday in Yosemite to start with someone.who should not be in the job. The Hotel was sufficient for our needs. The hotel is in need of some tender loving care but was clean with big enough rooms for 4.Breakfast was as expected for this price hotel. I would be happy to return if I was ever to revisit Yosemite as price and location always appealed above looks and brand. I would hope for a more cheerful greeting and cleaner carpets if I was to return.

MUST READ FOR FUTURE TRAVELERS! We were checked in by a male front desk when we get there on the night of Aug. 4. He offered if I wanted to have our room cleaned everyday and change of towels everyday. He said this should be requested upon check in. I asked if there’s an additional charge, he said no. Then I said I would be happy with everyday garbage collection and change of towels. When we get back to our room after our visit at Yosemite national park on the night of Aug 5, nobody came to change our towels and collect our garbage. I called the reception desk to inform them. Kaylee answered the phone and she insisted that I didn’t request for everyday towel change and garbage collection when she checked us in. I told her she didn’t checked us in as it was a male front desk who checked us in. She still kept on insisting that she did checked us in even after I described that it was a male, tall and long hair front desk who checked us in. Then she rudely said that if I need new towels, I have to get them at the reception desk myself. When I get to the desk to get the towels, I told her it was the first time I saw her. Instead of apologizing, she rudely said “ok!” When she handed me the towels, she rudely said “your welcome” even before I said thank you. What kind of receptionist is this person? A receptionist is supposed to help you make your stay comfortable. But instead, she will ruin your night because of her attitude. First ever receptionist who treated me like this.

We were very comfortable staying here while we hiked Yosemite for 4 days. Although it was an hour from the park gate, the drive was beautiful. The pool and breakfast were really great and our room was comfortable.

This hotel was just right for us. It is walkable for anything in downtown Mariposa, and only 47 minutes from Yosemite. The place is safe, clean and everything works. Parking is abundant and breakfast is great.

We were a bit irritated that breakfast wasn't ready, the only thing we were interested in was the waffle iron, they didn't have batter ready. If breakfast is important then another place might be better. There is nothing in town open very early. And very little available in Yosemite.
