Howard Johnson by Wyndham National City/San Diego South

We use the room as an overnight stop before our cruise in the morning. The neighborhood was a bit iffy, but it was only eight minutes from downtown, which was still an iffy area. Overall, it was a clean place to sleep, but had terrible towels that were stained as well as a leaking refrigerator that we had to put additional towels on the floor, but for the price it is what we expected

This is my second time staying at Howard Johnson. The rooms are filled with bugs. Smells like smoke. And they are inconsistent with there deposite charges. Which it has been 4 days and I still haven't received my deposit back.

Nice, comfortable room and very friendly staff. Parking was easy too, having lots of parking space. Breakfast could definitely be better though.

Hairs on the shower wall and on the bathroom counter. Only one narrow way to get in/out of the parking lot. Had to check in outside through a teller window instead of getting to come into the lobby.

Property was a little dirty. There was prostitutes walking the street in front of it when we pulled up. And so I was a little apprehensive at first, but if you don't go out after like 8 o'clock at night, it's a really nice property to stay at for the price. We stayed with our two young kids. My only complaint about this particular property is the shower didn't get super hot
