Glass Slipper Inn - Stanford Palo Alto

It’s pretty good extended state type of thing or you have people living there for period of time looks a little CD but it’s not everybody’s nice and considerate. The parking sucks though if you have an SUV, good luck there’s no elevator. See you’re walking upstairs. I hope you don’t have a lot of luggage. There’s three flights of stairs if you’re staying on the top, which is where I stayed but regardless, you’re walking up at least one flight maybe two flights of stairs. the rooms need some freshen it up they could really use a coat of paint, some scrubbing, the bathrooms, dingy dark. I get the impression that they’re clean, but you know I really think with the location of this place and the layout of the property if somebody would invest some money into this place, the return on their investment would be crazy outrageously high. This seems like the kind of place that you could charge $1000 a night to stay at but rooms are going for under 100 and it’s just because of a couple coats of paint And extended stay. This is a real real diamond in the rough here except for the diamonds a little rough still too

Staff was nice, room was clean. My biggest complaint is with the parking. Spaces are very tight and difficult to get into and out of.

Parking place is too narrow

Overall decent stay. The road is quite noisy and the parking garage is a pain but the staff was nice.

The room was clean and nice sized. The a/c doesnt seem to stay on, the tv has a weird tint and no sound. The biggest problem I had was the parking. The parking spaces were tiny and if you left then finding another one wasnt a guarantee. Its an okay place for the price it is.

Room was cleaned, but parking was narrow and tight. There were several unused car parked in the garage.

No elevator

Whoever rated this place very good is crazy! No smoke detector on plaque of where it used to be, microwave is rusted inside the door and paint peeling, paint stains inside shower pan looks dirty but just spilled paint, cords to tv,internet,cable, refrigerator,microwave and lamp are exposed on counter. Peeling non skid paint of stairway. Water leaking from outside light fixture from room 205. Very poor conditions

Inside very clean. Nice greeting. Good bed. Outside needs maintenance. Bit good value

Very dirty and disorganized from the lobby to the room. No parking. Should not be fooling people with fake pictures and reviews. Would not stay again.

I liked that it was a convenient place close to Stanford Hospital but the rooms were musty smelling and noisy upstairs guests. Also didn't see any smoke or fire detectors in the room.

Feel unsafe in the hotel and not clean at all the service is also very bad. Had to leave after first night (3 hours after check in) because I felt unsafe. And the hotel won’t even refund for the second night.

There was food under the sheets (a goodly amount of large crumbs). the chairs had scary stains. the guy working was very nice and helpful!

The hotel is bare bones and quite noisy. The unit above was making a lot of noise and the maintenance guy was banging a bucket one morning all throughout the parking lot. The heater didn't work. and there wasn't a screen on the bedroom window, though the bathroom did have a screen. The room was clean but the shower curtain had mold on it.

The room was very large and updated. Very clean and well priced. I would get a 2nd floor room next time bc the parking garage is below the room and loud cars will wake you.

I proudly give this establishment the highest rating! I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to do so for this place — and with pride — after staying here for 16 consecutive days. It’s truly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! First of all, it’s extremely well located — in a quiet and safe area — with a bus stop right in front of the hotel that takes you directly to Palo Alto’s central station in just a few minutes. Besides that, it offers excellent value for money. The room is spacious and comfortable, with a microwave, mini-fridge, air conditioning, balcony, a huge TV, and a large, cozy bed. The bathroom is also great. The staff are exceptionally kind and helpful. From the moment I arrived, they offered me complimentary bottled water, utensils, plates, and cups. They even took me to the laundry room and paid for washing and drying my clothes at no cost. I had a minor issue with the lock and shower, and both were fixed the same day in the best possible way. The cleanliness is impeccable, and every staff member is genuinely polite and caring. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone — it’s truly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at!

Even though it's an older property, the room was large and clean and the bed was comfortable. Check in was easy and the front desk clerk was very friendly. However, I was able to connect to the free wifi but it was so weak that I couldn't use it. Disappointing. I was given a hang tag for the room door to hang if I wanted it cleaned. I hung the tag but when I got back late I discovered the room had not been cleaned. Also disappointing. But overall, it was quiet and comfortable so it was ok.

I was to stay here after my husband's surgery at Stanford. Due to complications, I needed to stay in the hospital with him. The host was very kind when I called each night to explain why I was delayed. This will be my favorite place to stay from now on. The staff member's kind words helped me through the day.

Nice location inn

Owner was awesome had great info and was nice. Room was mostly clean but the bathroom walls needed help... Prior people were rude- but overall it was nice and convenient. Not noisy. Great restaurants and gas stations near by. Not far from VA. Price was affordable

Nice and reasonable price for staying. The train station is a bit far away (need to walk 30min), the bus stop is close by.

Very comfortable and close to many shops

It's a property close to Stanford University and has a really good staff. Inside of the rooms are very good

I appreciated the Glass Slipper. It's inexpensive, yet clean. Several good restaurants within walking distance. The Happy Donut across the street had good coffee and good breakfast croissants. Parking at the motel was challenging, but I was able to hone my parking skills. All in all, a good choice for a reasonable price.

Had a fantastic experience at Glass Inn. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. Everything was well-maintained and made for a relaxing visit. Highly recommend!

Parking was difficult and stairs were required to reach any room. Checking in felt like entering a prison facility. Room was large with chairs and desk. NO COFFEE!

Owner could not be nicer and room was spacious, if bare-boned. Located on a very busy street. Off-street parking, very well lighted. Microwave, TV and fridge but no coffee pot or toiletries. Very satisfactory for a minimalist stay.

The inn is a little run down. Theres no food are any amenities. The air conditioner was really noisy. The hot water never really came on in the shower. Don't recommend.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. It’s a classic hotel with a quaint, feeling the only thing different that would’ve make it more pleasant would be a coffee pot.

Not even coffee machine for an advertised 3 star facility. Outside areas dirty and require major upgrade, Bad wifi connection and uncomfortable bed.
