DoubleTree by Hilton Pomona

Housekeeping did not have our room ready when we returned at 4pm. We left the room at 8:00 in the morning. Front desk staff was great when we checked in and when we checked out. The staff was well trained, gave us water and warm cookies upon arrival. Parking spaces were not wide enough for a regular size car.

Checking in was a little uncomfortable as the rep was rude and seemed to be irritated with our arrival. Our room was ok but held a strong damp odor. One of the beds sheets were not completely dry so we had to have those exchanged as well. We attempted to go swimming the next day, but the pool is very small, there were no towels and my husband had to actually clean leaves and debris out of the main pool. We did not try the hot tub as it was very dirty. There was also a strong damp odor in the gym. The cleaning staff was very nice and that is why I am giving this place a 3 star rating for staff. Will not be back.

They EV chargers but they were out of order..why have them if they don't work.

The Jacquizzi was not working. Your Check in and Check out staff were very Courteous and Attentive to our needs. Your cleaning staff did not clean our room in one day of our 3 night stay…however your staff did assist with clean fresh towels!! Respectfully F. Enriquez

What was so good about the parking to require a $10 per night charge? Your parking lot is lousy. You could damage your suspension hitting pot holes.

Didn’t like to have to pay for parking on the facility.

One of the elevators was done and it just happened to be the one closest to our room which was on the 3rd floor at the other end of the hall. We had to lug 5 suitcases with 4 kids in tow down the corridor to the other end and than up to the 3rd and go to our room which was down 2 hallways. I paid extra for the room that included snacks or something of the sort and never once seen a snack in our room or anything to indicate what we had paid for.

We picked this hotel because it advertised that it had EV chargers. After we checked in around 9pm one was being used, the other had a Lexus (non EV). I informed the front desk but was told nothing could be done. In the morning both were available, but then I noticed that they were not complementary. You had to pay, and you had to download an app and set it up to use it. I did not have the time to do that so we might as well have stayed at a Motel 6 and saved a lot of money. Including the $10 parking fee for us not charging our car.

Overpowering odor from chemical cleaners in room & in hallways. Red ants in one of the bathrooms. Had to change rooms twice. Run down, worn out & needs an overhaul. Gave me airborne & a fan to clear the odor?!!! HOWEVER, the staff esp. Colin at the front desk evening shift were great & cannot be responsible for these problems. People smoking weed & vaping at the front door. Pool area is also worn out & dirty—chairs & tables not cleaned. C’mon Hilton help this owner out!

The hotel felt run down, noisy. Walking to our rooms, there's only one staff and pretty slow checking us in. Furthermore, the room was horrible. There were hairs everywhere. In our bed, the shower, the shower wall and sliding glass. It was by far the worst hotel experience I had even encountered.

The bathroom sink was not cleaned properly and the shower gel and shampoo were not replenished.

The widows in the lobby were filthy. The view from the lobby was obstructed by dirty windows.

The room was not properly clean… I found ants in the bathroom walking along the walls, shower floor, and bathroom counter. I found a dog treat on the room’s floor and a pair of eye glasses. I called the front desk and they just said thanks for letting them know. I left that same night.

Okay where to start. First I asked for early check-in and they said they would give me first available. I began to see people leaving the waiting area near the bar. I was at getting their rooms one by one people who even arrived after me were getting their room so I walked over to check in and they were like oh yeah, you can check in and I said it would’ve been nice to know that considering they told me I would get a text when it was ready. Garbage left everywhere, including the elevator and elevator waiting areas It’s very obvious so I didn’t feel the need to tell front desk cause it looks like they really don’t care Bathroom was grimy worst sleep on my life Cherry on top with the screaming and running outside of our door until 12 AM I was spending the night as I had a hockey game - I am a cheerleader for the and I needed good sleep. Everything looks like it’s falling apart, including the parking garage, which the architecture of it makes no sense and you can tell where cars have hit the jagged edges on the exits a million times The elevator was very broken with a piece of tape holding the button together on our floor Overall, a very comical stay and I definitely won’t be staying in Pomona ever again. I’ll just stay in Ontario by the airport disappointing for a Doubletree. I thought those would be the nicer stay in the area. This place honestly needs to be completely renovated or just closed.

Bathroom had Ants and door did not lock.

Checking in experience was atrocious: lock of the room would not open, front desk asked me to wait in front of the room for the maintenance guy, who never showed up. After 30 min waiting and returning to the front desk, they eventually gave me another room AC in the room was like a freight train. Had to choose between being way to hot to sleep, or being woken up very 20 min when the AC would kick in.

Very nice hotel. Very Clean and the beds were very comfortable. Easy parking. the attached restaurant was delicious. Only bad thing I have to say is the walls are thin we can hear everyone walking/talking past our room.

The room was larger than expected. The views of the mountains are beautiful and there’s plenty of room in the lobby to enjoy the scenery.

I liked the entry and lobby of this property and the nice areas to sit. They also seem to have a lovely restaurant even though we did not have time to use it. It also had a nice little area to buy snacks. Unfortunately, the rest of our stay was disappointing. One of the reasons was that our room was not cleaned the first day and when I went down at 6:00 pm that evening and asked if it could be cleaned they said that housekeeping was finished. They made us feel like it was an inconvenience even to have towels brought to the room. When we returned to our room there were towels just inside the door on the stool and the door was left OPEN. And, then there were small things like no waters in our room, which is really helpful for coffee. The coffee maker needs to to upgraded. Overall, the hospitality was sorely missing and you felt nickel and dimed versus welcomed. Something as simple as a water bottle goes a long way to get someone to return to your hotel. We are super easygoing and the type to leave our rooms clean and respectable so if we were bummed then I assume someone with higher expectations would be pretty unhappy with their stay. If you need a place to sleep this is a good spot but if you are looking for a little bit more customer service and hospitality this hotel is unfortunately medicore.

The staff was very helpful in particular. Colin was able to check in with me via cell phone text and I was able to let him know that we couldn’t figure out our AC unit and by the time we got back from our outing, the AC was fixed and we were very pleased

The front desk refused to extend the check out time. I was told that I a had to pay $30 per room if I wanted to extend the check out time for one hr. I have never been charged for extending the check out time. I definitely would not be staying here again for this reason.

Front Desk staff EXTREMELY poor customer service skills. A simple "Good morning " when eye contact was made and blatantly ignored and NO response given, this is 2 days in a row!! I don't even know if they have teeth because they never cracked a smile 😐

I usually love staying here, we come at least 4 times a year but the front desk service was HORRIBLE. We waited forever just to ask a question and there were 3 people just sitting at the front desk talking. There was also a horrible smell in the lobby which was disgusting coming in and out. Like I said, we usually love staying here but the 3 women working the front did not want to help us and when they finally did they were so rude.

The staff was Excellent, especially Odessa She was very friendly and helpful, and caring. She’s a very good asset to your organization.

Close to Cal Poly Pomona campus and easy freeway access

Best place to stay in Pomona and very convenient to Cal Poly. Nice views of the mountains in distance.

It is a nice hotel, but the surrounding area seems kinda sketchy, but did not have any issues and the staff were nice. The bathroom shower faucet cap covers were off which is questionable.

I loved everything about Doubletree Pomona. The views are breathtaking. The hotel is on a hill with a shell petrol station nearby. The rooms were very large. modern, and clean. Breakfast was good. Because I travelled with my family and baby grandson we were given connecting rooms. I have no complaints. Even though the hotel was by a freeway you couldn’t hear the traffic. The staff were good too. I’d definitely come back if I was in the area.

Room was great. Service was excellent. The only downside was the breakfast. All of the hot dishes were horrible. The eggs were sitting in a pool of liquid, the breakfast sandwiches and French toast had been sitting in the trays for a while. They were dried out and crusty. I'm actually not very picky but this stuff was bad. If I hadn't paid for the breakfast it would have been an outstanding stay

This is a very comfortable, clean, lovely place to stay. The Vita restaurant is beyond expectations! Love it here!

Amazing service. Scrumptious cookies. The Argentinean steak from the in hotel restaurant cut through like butter and was so delicious. Alfredo pasta noodles were thick and tasty.

The breakfast was out of potatoes, the eggs were cold and the only had regular milk. Not worthy $18…not even worth $2! Restaurant staff didn’t seem to care or offer any suggestions. Irony was that the lobby store had more types of milk than the restaurant! Don’t plan in eating there. You’ve been warned!

Restaurant needs refinement. It’s supposed to be Italian and authentic however the food does not reflect that. Pasta is consistently overcooked and mushy on each visit. . The Veal Scallopini was just 2 small (not pounded enough) pieces of veal over a bed of “hammered” pasta with zero vegetable for $45. Overpriced and poorly cooked. The staff is good and service was also. Breakfast buffet is decent but again eggs are way overcooked.
