The lobby is beautiful and all of the rooms have been updated. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Tennis court, pool and Jacuzzi, as well as an exercise room are part of the property amenities. We came in to the restaurant past breakfast time and they still served us with good cheer and quality food.

In our section of the hotel, there were three elevators. Only one was working and it wasn’t the quickest, so that was pretty frustrating. The men’s sauna was also not working. Little disappointed with those issues.

Great pool area overlooking the ocean. Serene, quit, not crowded. front desk, concierge, and bar staff were nice. Valet staff was awesome! Bed was comfortable. Food options were great and so was the taste!

Only one of the 3 elevators working. Didn't keep our reservation for the room type. Pool towels that were more like hand towels. TV in room kept going out. AC in room sounded like a jet airplane taking off. Pool water so salty it would burn your eyes. Other than that, great location. Subpar Sonesta for sure.

The room was clean, but a bit dated. The pool area was ok, but the pool was a bit dirty. There is a nice tennis court, but the basketball hoop is pretty beat up. I am told the surrounding area can be really fun, but there was a bunch of construction when we were there so it wasn’t really the case for us.

The Hotel lobby itself is very nice. Great valet parking and directly across from the harbor. The room was absolutely disgusting. Our sheets had blood on them, used make up and perfume bottles and had literally dirt stains on them. The room smelled very bad and the tub had disgusting black rings of dirt. We booked a third day and upon checkin they told us we could stay in our room for all three days to find out we had to leave the room so we could check back in flr the third day. However the room was so nasty we cut our trip shoprt and left. Im not kidding when i say that the room was so disgusting that the staff members who came to change our sheetd asked us to file a complaint to management. They were do ashamed. There seems to be no oversight and the rooms are dilapidated.

I have to admit for the price. I was extremely shocked. The rooms were so outdated so dusty there was burn holes in the carpet. The bathtub was dirty. The ceiling above the bathtub was dirty.. No microwave no bottles of water in the room when we got there. We were promised a rollaway bed all three nights and never got one called the front desk and they said no after telling us we would have no charge. The carpet was dirty, not enough toilet paper in the room as if they’re not then clean I would say my stair was extremely disappointing. Then we went to the bar to get a Coke and the bartender said we don’t sell Coke. You have to go in that little store and buy it so we asked for 2 cups of ice and he said not until you go buy your Coke which we found rude. Location was good. It would just be better if the rooms were updated not At all, I expected a bathtub. No, that’s not updates. I travel to California all the time because my family lives there I come in from Ohio that was my first time at your hotel Sorry to get poor feedback, but that was my experience. Thank you for the opportunity.

Nice location but terrible room service! Never experienced such an awful room service: No dusting in 1 full week! Items on counters have not been removed or replaced to swipe (coffee stains stayed during the whole time). Black hairs in the shower stayed for one week (we are blond).

There was a bug on my bed. We were given the wrong parking card to get in and out of the parking garage. The air conditioner made noise until it was fixed. The shower was very slippery. Management said there was supposed to be non slip mas in all rooms. We had two rooms and there was no mat. My room did not have the reading lights on my headboard. I called three times to have them fixed and they never were. Also, when management was told of my complains, they really didn't seem to care. They never wrote anything down. We'll never stay there again! Very disappointing!

The Lobby and staff were excellent. Well designed and the bar area was inviting. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. They were a little dated, but in good condition. An excellent location for waterfront activities. Will definitely consider this hotel for future visits.

Not worth the high price. The AC in the room is so LOUD. No ceiling fans either so have to keep running the AC. The toilet flushes with a loud clanging sound. When paying $300/night one expects a good night sleep but not here, sadly. The bathtub looks old. No money seems to be spent on maintenance. With such high costs I hope they're at least paying their staff well. Because otherwise I'm not sure what I'm paying for. Not coming back here again. And NEVER booking a hotel via Expedia. They inflate the rates.

I debated really hard on a few hotels i would stay at and chose Sonesta. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, really nice, family and dog friendly. the location is nice with alot of walking distance attractions. We did have a issue at check in, my spouse swiped his card and the money clearly went through but they were saying it was declined so we spent 3 hours at the front desk trying to get to the bottom of the situation working with 3 different staff members who didnt seem to care. we ended up paying double anyway to stay here, the bartender and staff could be way more friendlier and helpful. Our housekeeper was great, vallet was great. Check in was horrible. Other than that La was great to me.

Terrible experience!!!! Nowhere in our booking info was there notice that a music festival was taking place across the street and that all entrances to the hotel - inc the parking lot - would be barricaded. We paid almost $700 to stay ONE NIGHT because my daughter had to take the SAT at 8am at Redondo Union High School. Instead we didn't get to our room until midnight and the front desk staff couldn't have been less helpful or apologetic. Instead, we had to beg to park in the loading zone then handed our car key to the front desk to give to valet. In the morning, exhausted and in a rush - valet couldn't find our car and I hadn't been given a ticket! This experience was MISERABLE!!!!!!

The staff at Sonesta are wonderful. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. I love that we were able to bring our dog and how accommodating they are. We got dog treats and water and food bowls and really just the warmest welcome. The rooms are very comfortable with nice beds and quiet. We had a small issue with our fire alarm , it was beeping and they immediately took care of it. We will be staying here again and can’t beat the location. The bar was great to watch your game at in the evening with good drinks & food. 10/10

Not the best experience. Upon check in no information was provided regarding facilities and breakfast options or where anything was located. Staff in breakfast room clearly not happy to be there, rolling eyes and huffing and puffing in annoyance and I was not informed of the different breakfast options, only the ridiculous over expensive buffet breakfast. $32 without tax or tip for that breakfast is NOT worth it. Some staff were nice but most clearly felt customers were an inconvenience. The room had a great view which was the reason for choosing this hotel, but the room itself could do with a deep clean. Not a great experience and expensive for the average customer service received, I wouldn’t overly recommend this hotel.

My stay at Sonesta Redondo was not what I paid for. During my stay our room was never cleaned. We asked that someone come and pull the trash and replenish the towels. We literally had to catch housekeeping in the halls to get towels. Our trash was never taken out. Even going to the front desk didn’t help. The only thing we did get was 4 bottled water. The room was supposed to be ocean view but it wasn’t at all. We were facing the marina. They need to do better.

This is a wonderful hotel within a five minute walk of the Redondo Beach Pier, where there are lots of restaurants and shops. It is a ten minute walk to sandy beaches. The staff are super nice and go out of their way to make your stay extremely memorable. I highly recommend this hotel!

My stay was business-related, but I did utilize a few of the amenities on site. The pool area was clean and provided a private experience on an upper level. The room was clean and the property was quiet overnight. The only sub-par experience I had was with room service on both days of my stay. One day the service was severely delayed (it took over an hour when I was told 30 minutes) and the other day unfortunately the food I was served had to be sent back (they kindly took this charge off my bill). Altogether, this is a very nice property to stay at near the beach, but in the future, I will make plans to eat offsite.

A very nice place!! The workers were all helpful and nice. Kudos to the young woman in the little shop with her suggestions on places nearby!! The pool patio was nice and will be nicer when the weather warms up. The cost of a cup of coffee, breakfast and desserts was a bit high.

I was dissappointed that the Bar closed early on Friday. It was listed on the website as being open until 11pm. We decided to finish our evening at the hotebar and arrived at 10pm to find it closed. We asked for drinks at reception but they stated that they could not open the bar. It was a disappointing end to an otherwise great stay.

Sonesta is a high-end property that hosts weddings and other large events. Their staff is professional, but not incredibly friendly. It should be noted that it is a VERY LONG walk from the parking structure to the elevator, then another VERY LONG walk to the room if you are above Room #50 on any floor. Inconvenient if you are coming + going often. I inquired about a reduced rate for the $40/day parking garage but was told the garage is owned by a separate company and they don't have a "relationship" with them. HOWEVER, we were told to use our hotel room key for entering and exiting the garage! Seems dishonest. We did not know until we arrived that the swimming pool was closed for renovations, something that should have been noted on their website, as their pretty promo photos show a beautiful pool.

Great location with short walk to the Redondo Beach Pier and activities, restaurants, sidewalk cafes, and people watching just outside the door. Beaches are a long walk or short drive to nearby Hermosa Beach; however, there is a cove beach across the street w plenty of water activities in the area. Pool is on 2’d floor. Most rooms have no view, but pool and sidewalk views are best. Also, standard rooms have no balcony! Most rooms w view can be quite a walk to the elevator, and pool, ice machine, and one microwave per floor. There are refrigerators in room but not a microwave. Otherwise, everything about the room, lobby bar, food, and amenities is wonderful and convenient!

The main floor of the hotel smelled like a dream! Our room was facing the ocean, but really it’s a view of the marina. They should update the room information to say as such. I wouldn’t have paid extra for the ocean view. The bathroom has saloon shutter doors, leaving little privacy, these could be updated. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. Away from the crowds. Parking is $40 a night and the food at the hotel is very expensive for what you get.

Big and impersonal conference hotel. Not very friendly staff. No smiles. Pool area ok but not supervized. Would appreciate a bar option. Not super central and if you want to go to the beach it is quite a walk. Breakfast buffet was great! If you want a nice beach and a nice town, I’d recommend going to Manhattan beach instead.

Immediately upon arrival we checked in with receptionist Nadine. We advised her of our late arrival per an extremely difficult day. We needed the sound of the ocean. Nadine, set us up in a lovely room with an ocean view on the 3rd floor. We were provided a bottle of wine, water, and a signed condolence card. There were tears of joy and thankfulness. We were able to sit on the balcony, and here the evening and morning sounds of the bay. A seal calling in the distance. We enjoyed breakfast in the nearby Cafe restaurant. We will most definitely go back. Thank you Sonesta Staff.
