The property had too many stairs to climb. Not conducive for someone who has disabilities. Also they charge a $50 deposit for your stay and $15 per night for parking. Room was nice but no A/C only fans. I would not recommend this hotel to a friend.

This non-ADA compliant property is multi-terraced without elevators. Our suit was inaccessible to us as a senior couple. We were given a ground floor room that did not have the size or facilities of the suit without any room credit. The manager did not have help or equipment that could take our luggage to the room. Beware of the deceiving pictures and look for another place. Overpriced and overrated!

Great location 2 blocks to East Beach, good affordable option that was renovated in the last few years. Jimmy was very happy to help. Refrigerator in all rooms. Microwave and toaster in lobby.

Weve been coming here for about 15 yrs. and we love how mello the vibe is. I would have given 5 stars except for the new parking fee. It was unexpected and pretty high for how unassuming the property is. Charging $15 per night is a bit much.

Charming older motel with updated room easy walk to Cabrillo Blvd and ocean. Located behind the Mar Monte hotel with very nice restaurant and bar. Lots of stairs to various levels. Simple but nice continental breakfast. Free street parking if available, charge for onsite.

Staff was super friendly. The hotel location was a short walk to the beach. Dog friendly hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Easy to drive to restaurants. We walked our dog at night and felt safe. We would definitely stay here again.

Very cute on the website . Proximity to beach and pet friendly a definite plus. While the staff was friendly the room, specifically the bathroom was moldy and dirty. Soiled towel and the rack and sink was clogged.

The room was disgusting, stains on the bed, chair, and furniture was damaged and old. AC off for the entire hotel. Fan spins and swings as if its going to fall + loud squeaking noise. Yellow stain on toilet lid. The colors of the room is nice. If you are going with your boys and freinds, or desperate, this place is the spot. If you want romance or going with your wife, run away. 300$ spent, left on the spot with wife, no refund due to 48hr notice. Bye bye.

It was an older Motel that had seen better days. It was clean but several lights did not work and the shower curtain had ripped holes and the shower had small amounts of black mold. When someone in the next room took a shower at 3AM it sounded like an 18 wheeler coming through the room.

The receptionist was polite but he had an ear bud in. It would be nice if he told you which floor your room was on and if it was at the front or rear of the property. The manager was nice, but the guest upstairs was stomping around at midnight, the gate was outside our window and is locked after 9pm and people let it slam shut, our shower and shower head had mold. The rest of the place was clean. It close to the water. I would not recommend. I will not be returning.

The location was great. The room was not great. We had a busted window (and screen), half-used shampoo, paint tape on the closet wall, cable wires running on the ceiling like in college, a missing lightbulb, a missing cover on the ceiling fan, and the worst part was sunlight peeping through a window with no shade at 5:30am. How many days do I get to sleep in?

Good location and very friendly staff—especially Jay at the front desk—but the hotel itself is in extremely poor condition. The first room we were given hadn’t been cleaned at all: trash on the floor, unmade beds, and used towels. We were moved to a smaller room that didn’t match what we originally booked, and even that room felt worn down and dirty. Bathroom flooring was coming apart, corners were filthy, and the shower had mold and cracks. Outside the room wasn’t better. We found human feces in the parking lot in the evening, and it was still there the next morning. The property overall feels neglected, with rust and lack of maintenance everywhere. Staff members like Jay are doing their best, but ownership must not be giving management enough investment into maintaining this place. Not worth the price, and I wouldn’t stay here again.

Great location!!! Room was very spacious and had a full kitchen. The motel is quite old and run down and could use a refresh but the location and size of rooms you can’t beat. It’s dog friendly also.

It definitely felt like an Inn. Your room is out in the open so you can hear EVERYTHING (the street traffic, the pool, people walking around) and they don't have AC so you'll need to keep windows open if you're hot. So not luxurious at all. But the room we had was well kept and seemed super clean

Overall, the hotel was nice. Office staff was courteous and efficient. However, we stayed on the first floor and we had neighbors in the next room. We could hear their conversation and the television. We could hear the people upstairs walking around. It was a problem for us hearing our neighbors.

It was fine for a cheaper property. The best thing was location. It wasn't dirty, but it felt dirty because the room was in need of maintenance. It was $15/day for parking, which was overpriced IMO. The WiFi never worked. It said connected but no Internet. That was mentioned in a lot of reviews that I read so just know that you will likely not be able to use WiFi.

We LOVED our room; very spacious, with lots of windows. Early December, so can't speak to the lack of AC; rather, the fireplace was great .. Also, we were on 2nd floor, so can't speak to 'overhead' noises .. yes, plastic-wrapped pastries aren't much of a 'continental breakfast', but they DID also have fresh coffee (and we had a kitchen, with Keurig machine, so all good on that front ) .. Staff was VERY helpful for the few requests we had. Bed 'seemed' like it would be a bit on the 'too soft' side, but slept well all 7 nights ! The ocean and walking/biking paths are just a few minutes away, so that was great too .. My sister ended up booking a nearby room after visiting with us and she was quite happy too. would definitely return here if in the area again !

We were disappointed right away. There was no elevator, no AC, fans that were temperamental getting to work, the room floor was dirty, minimal amenities, bouncy uncomfortable bed, afternoon sun made the room hot! And having to have the windows open with the smoke from a distant fire made us have to leave a day early & without a refund on room or parking! The pluses were walking distance to the beach and a few restaurants, and the staff was very pleasant!

An awful experience! Do not stay here unless you want a filthy room, a rude manager and unauthorized charges to your credit card!! Mine and my 1yo nieces stay was from 8/11-8/12 about 9am 8/13 I noticed a $200 charge on top of my $157 charge from Expedia + $65(deposit+$15 parking) I called immediately and was told by a very sweet woman at the front desk that the manager lives onsite but simply isn’t available, and she herself would not be able to give me ANY information and that he should be in around 2pm. We called around 2:30, not available, called once more at 3 and the women eventually handed the phone to him. He immediately proceeded to shout that he will not be removing the charge or giving an explanation and to get the courts involved “He’s Ready!” And has an outside/eyes witness?? I’m at a loss for words ? What is that even supposed to mean? This whole experience is truly frighting and the other reviews have nothing better to say. I’m currently out $200 with no explanation for the charge. I assumed this was a simple mistake but based off his reaction there’s something seriously shady going on over there

Don’t stay here. Could not check in until 1 1/2 hours late because the cleaning crew literally preferred to gossip and lounge around instead of cleaning. Watched them take their sweet time it was so rude. Front desk lady couldn’t give us a courtesy call for an eta and seemed intimidated to approach the cleaning crew. Not worth the price.

Our stay was short, but we would come back. The staff ( Victor) at check in was cordial and helpful. The room was clean, spacious, well ventilated with windows, and comfortable. The area was quiet especially at night. We were very pleased by that since we were near the street and other hotels. The beach is a short walk across the street past another hotel. Check out was friendly and so fast we didn’t even remember to catch a name to compliment.

Our room had a bathroom door that would not shut unless you slammed it. The toilet ran fairly consistently. The outlet for plugs was majorly broken and there was a whole in the wall where it should have been framed. The chair at the desk was peeling. I brought all this up to the front desk on Sunday and I’m still waiting for a call from the manager over 48 hours later. $300 for each night is unreasonable for the condition of the room. Very disappointed with this stay and their handling (or lack thereof) of the situation

The location of this hotel is perfect, especially for the price. Great location, a block from the beach. This is an older hotel (set up like a Motel) but is pretty well updated. However it’s still clearly an older property. The bed needs an update and the pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable. However I would definitely stay here again. The staff were really nice and accommodating and you really can’t beat the location.

We had a lovely stay at the Inn at East Beach in December. It is conveniently located a block from the beach and a pleasant walk to downtown, Stearns Wharf, and Milpas street which has some of our favorite restaurants in Santa Barbara! The hotel is quiet and has a nice breakfast array. Will stay here again.

Great location in east beach. Easy walk to zoo, beach and the carrillo beach center. The property is older, with a paint job to freshen it up. Office and coffee UNAVAILABLE until 730 am. Put coffee makers in each room!

I have stayed there before. Had a fireplace on another visit. The pool was very nice. Outside heater wasn't available on the cool evening.That would have been great, but they don't light them in the summer. The breakfast is just small pastries and tea or coffee. I would cal it a mini continental breakfast. bed was comfortable. I would stay there again.

Very cute, retro looking motel style. An older property but the room was clean, and comfy beds. We stayed in a queen suite room w 2 queen beds, sink outside the toilet/shower room, which makes it easier for everyone to get ready. I didn't realize the room included a kitchenette when booking - we didn't use it as we were only there one night but would come in handy for a longer stay. Easy walk down to the beach, decent no-frills breakfast. Would definitely stay here again. Good value for the SB area.

I like the room. Was huge. Had a kitchen with oven, stove, microwave, keurig,refrigerator, etc. was nice & cool with the ceiling fans near the beach. Nice shower,doe or bathroom sink. employees were very nice. Couldn’t get the tv turned on so they came right away to get it working. Beds were comfortable. Great location. Breakfast was ok. Would be great if there was cream cheese to go with the bagels instead of butter or jelly. Frozen Breakfast burrito was suppose to be egg & cheese, but couldn’t really see eggs in it, so didn’t eat it. All I could really eat was an apple. Parking was good behind hotel. There’s a park across the street from parking lot. Would definitely go back.
