Travelodge by Wyndham Colorado Springs Airport - Peterson SFB

Highly Recommend! Great Stay and Pet Friendly!

Room was big and nice, but the black paint or hair dye or whatever it was that was splattered on the bathroom wall and dripped on the entryway floor also made its way to a drip on the fitted sheet. So the bed obviously was not changed. Breakfast is upstairs, it is not ADA friendly.

Clean hotel. There is no gym as advertised as they converted it into another suite. Wi-Fi worked great and the staff are very friendly!

Suite chosen for kitchenette as we traveled with food. Viewed on arrival, found front door covered with thrown eggs, inside couch with torn cover, furniture chipped & broken. Clerk suggested main hotel better, though didn't meet our cooking needs decide to change. Hallways filled with noisy neighbors. 2nd rm had adjoining door-neighbor talking at the top of voice on phone for over 1 hr. Asked clerk for 3rd rm w/out adjoining door. Improved noise until started hearing banging on walls-?? Doors slamming until 10 pm and began again before 0500. All rooms dirty, scuffs all over walls, peeling wallpaper, A/C unit with wall gaps-could see the sun! Food under AC wall unit. surfaces sticky, something dried & dripping from wall sconce, Snot found on bathroom door frame at eye level, fabric on furniture frayed, lamp shade ajar-unable to straighten, too many appliances for 1 wall outlet. TV unplugged, when plugged in, needed reboot. No where to plug in phone-cord wouldn't connect to outlet on lamp. Exterior building doors broken locks. Staff states management told but remain broken for 2 years. Sham on Wyndham & Expedia for dishonest reviews & photos. Some reviewers stated remodeled?!! Noted newer flooring but..difficulty sleeping wondering if bed dirty too. One positive, staff very nice-trying-however we couldn't take another night & canceled our reservation. Unable to recoup "non-refundable" reservation! Truth in advertising? PS Crazy pet change for horrible rm.

it had a washer and dryer area to wash your clothes, make sure you have 3.75 in quarters.

Our box springs was broke on the bed, the sheets were stained along with the towels that looked like they had been used, our ac unit dripped into the room, no ice bucket had to go to the front and ask for one, was told they don't clean rooms everyday unless asked, no parking if you get there of an evening, we ended up having to park at the front of the building, lots of tweaker and homeless looking people.

They allow dogs and that was the only major problem, since the dogs just kept barking non stop! That, and the water in the shower was lukewarm at best; no hot water!

Everything was great, with the exception of available parking, we were lucky to get a spot for our car and small trailer, but it really needs more parking.

We didn't like the hotel at all. Was fooled by the Wyndham title. There was no elevator and room was on the second floor. Not good for people with disabilities, such as myself. Hall smelled old and bad. Room appeared clean, however, the bathroom was dirty in the spaces that they think people don't look. It smelled bad, the room smelled bad, the bed smelled like pee. Just a couple of towels for two people. If our flight was not delayed until midnight, we would have left the premises immediately.Worst hotel site... The staff was quite the opposite. Each person we came across on the staff was polite and kind. The property is the problem. Period

DO NOT BOOK AT THIS PROPERTY. Plans for my original stay elsewhere fell through on short notice , so I had to find a place for me and my 18 month old son to stay while visiting my sick grandmother m. As soon as I pulled up after booking I automatically regretted this decision. Due to the nature of my visit (this wasn’t a trip for luxury, this is possibly the last time I will see my grandma and I wanted her to see my son one more time) I am not in a position to spend an arm and a leg on a hotel since I just purchased plane tickets and rented a car last minute to get up here; I honestly thought that because it was the same price point as say the Extended Stay and the like, we would be ok. I did my best to even overlook the crowd that was hanging outside of the main lobby and others talking to people through the windows of the hotel and just wanted to get to a clean room. I booked our stay 3 nights, after night one both my infant and myself got bitten completely by BED BUGS. I immediately checked out the next morning and had to find some place else to stay for me and my son. This disgusting and careless property won’t even refund me the 2 nights I didn’t stay , and when I brought it to their attention at checkout , there was no apology, extension of another room ( I wouldn’t have taken it anyway etc) or anything, they just wrote my room number down and weren’t surprised or disgusted , like this had happened before. DO NOT STAY HERE

The room was decent but the blankets and towels had stains and found roaches in the room

Smelled like a mix of dirty feet marijuana and butt. My partner gagged every time we left the room. Breakfast area was so dirty we opted not to eat there. Bad area of town.

Absolutely foul motel. Floors are sticky and disgusting with visible foot and shoe prints all over. Obviously haven't been mopped in weeks. Drains are clogged so a decent shower is out of the question at this place. Roaches and flies will be your roommates too. Avoid this slum if possible

Very clean. Friendly staff. Comfy bed and pillows.

I stayed 4 nights in room 220 and ended up in a bed bug infested room and brought bed bugs with me. I will not be staying here again.

Dirty room, smelled like smoke, stains on linens.

The room was gross. Dirty towels and sheets. The carpet was filthy. I wouldn’t let my daughter, and I wouldn’t, walk around barefoot in the room. Wallpaper was peeling off. Room reeked of cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. All in all, my daughter and I felt really gross being in that room. Spend the extra money for a nicer place. I won’t stay here again.

Utterly filthy. Dirty towels, blood stains on the bedspread, hair in the shower, just completely disgusting. Would not stay here, would not recommend to anyone at all.

I was ate alive by bed bugs from room 220.

The hotel is right outside the gate of the Air Force Base. We stayed in room 219. The appliances were old and outdated, random stains on the bedsheets and cover, random stains on the wall, thin walls, and our room was connected to the neighboring one by a door only locked by a single, old chain lock. The hotel was cheap so I can’t say I imagined much else. Staff were all pleasant and friendly, though!

We stayed in a suite since we were going to be in CO Springs for a week. When we arrived, there was dried eggs on the door. There was no light bulb in the lamp in the living room area. The kitchen counter was dirty. The carpets need a good cleaning. Items were found from the last visitor (washcloth on lamp shade, toothbrush on top of bathroom medicine cabinet, partial grooming kit under the bed). We also had trouble getting clean towels and had to ask the desk staff to get us some. The sheets were clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was nice having a full kitchen. The hotel itself may have better housekeeping but the suites need improvement. The desk staff were very friendly and helpful though.

We enjoyed the stay overall. The Hotel was nice and so was the staff. The only problem was our neighbor. They were doing their thing for hours, very loudly. But with the great Tv's they have in the rooms we just turned the volume up until we couldn't hear. :) Lemonade from Lemons with that situation. But everything within the hotels control was great.

Door to the room have a sizable gap where you could see into the hallway significantly reducing privacy

Not the worst or the best I have stayed at. For the price we payed it was reasonable good. Some problems like the toilet didn’t flush correctly it took several flushes sometimes. Also, there was a door to the next room and some people staying there were talking and watching tv until past midnight. Not sound proof room. I didn’t get much sleep the last two nights there. The rug in the room look worn and had wrinkles made it feel dirty.

The wall edge we’re breaking a part the bathroom toilet is out of date and old the sink is not new the furniture looks out of date and old

The hotel was very dated except for the carpet. No outlets in the room, the clothes bar came apart when we tried to hang a shirt, the tv was very small and sounded horrible, lots of noise around us, big gap in the door. Not the best area. I would pass on staying at this hotel!!

The room did not look anything like the photo. The floors looked like they had water damage at some time. The sofa was covered with some type of covering. I use a walker and it would not fit through the bathroom door. The door was labeled as non-smoking and yet there was a cagarette butt on the bedroom floor. No extra pillow or any blankets at all. We had to call the front desk to get help with the TV-the remote had been taken. Front walkway was chipped and broken. Breakfast would have been on the second floor so I would not have been able to get there. The building we were in looked like the older version with two newer buildings up front.

When we arrived there were a couple people just sitting outside against the building. Odd. The attendant at the front desk was nice. The front area looked decent but the difference between the pictures on line vs reality was way off. Only thing nice in our room was the laminate floor. The bathroom was SO outdated. Holes in our doors. Bottom of the door scraped on the floor and you couldn't close the door. There was baseboard peeled back, some missing. The tub was old and creaky. Very old toilet. I barely wanted to use it. My husband used the shower but I did not want to step foot in it. Wall paper was peeling back. The bed felt like we were sleeping in a hammock and I wished i had looked at the sheets good before i slept in the bed but I'm the morning i noticed stains in about 4 spots on the bed. Really grossed me out. We didn't Even want to eat there so we left right away. I did have a cup of coffee and it was not good coffee. Do Not be deceived by the pictures!

Great service, clean rooms too. Housekeeping was outstanding and the front office ran very smooth. From Deb to the manager Dooley and Duma, everyone was wonderful.

Most terrifying hotel stay ever. I’m a woman alone. Being woken up by a strange man entering my room is the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced. I was already uncomfortable with no top door lock, so I propped the luggage rack against the door. I’m so glad I did. It was loud enough to jolt me awake. At the sight of a man in my room I began screaming. I had never truly screamed until that moment. It’s a horrible feeling. The man, or men retreated. I thought I saw 2 men in the doorway but when I ran out into the hall after them only one was there. He said “sorry” with no further explanation. He kept walking. I was shaking, trying to catch my breath. I phoned the front desk and told the clerk what just happened. She told me it was the owner, it was an accident, he was coming to fix an air conditioner. It may have been just that. But it was late at night, there was no top lock on the door, I’m a female staying alone, and I don’t recall seeing a toolbox. I paced in the room for a while trying to calm myself down. I looked at other hotels nearby, but it was late, I was upset, and it was 2 degrees out. I knew I couldn’t stay in that room though, so I demanded to be moved, and the desk clerk complied. She moved me to a room with a top lock. There was also a big chair in that room that I pushed against the door. I barely slept. I checked out the next morning. The morning clerk said he’d give me 20% off for the inconvenience, and refund me the night I wasn’t staying.

I originally booked a 2 bedroom suite, but I was notified before my trip that it would not be available. They accommodated 2 king rooms, which turned out to be less expensive anyways and still worked out great for our needs. It is a great budget friendly hotel and the staff was so kind. I will definitely be staying again on my next trip to the Springs!

I stayed at this hotel for one night and paid for the reservation through expedia. Upon check in they took a deposit of $59.80 and it's been a week and I still haven't gotten it back. When will I get it back?

The lady at the front desk was practically asleep while helping me and took forever to check me in. She gave us keys that didn't work. Once our keys did work my daughter who was 10 went to the room to find an UNKNOWN man in our room who scared her. The lady at the front said I'll just give you back your money and you can go somewhere else instead of trying to make things right. DO NOT STAY THERE!!!!!

System was down upon arrival. Staff checking us in could not access our prepaid reservations and thus no one got a room. Had to go up the road to another establishment.

The room we were given was not cleaned yet as well as the 2nd room. The 3rd room already had someone in it. We walked in and a voice from the bedroom yelled, hello. The 4th and 5th room had holes in the walls and were disgustingly dirty with a smell that burnt our noses. By the time we got to the 6th room, it was late and we were extremely tired. The manager stated she would comp the room so we just took it. (which was billed to our card by the way) This room was not as dirty but had an odor that is unexplainable. After opening the windows and burning popcorn to try to rid the smell, it was still there. It smelt as if you took mold and feces and rodents and blended it. I would highly warn anyone to stay as far away as possible. Oh yeah, and we were awaken by the police pounding on the door looking for someone with a warrant.

The ladies at the front desk super amazing, friendly and helpful. I felt safe inside the hotel area.

My husband and I brought our daughter to Colorado for her first vacation. Upon arriving the sweet lady at the front desk Debra accommodated the deposit needed for our stay, she was very sweet and helpful the whole stay! The location was amazing only 20 minutes away from garden of the gods! The breakfast was always a hit and served with a smile! We had to end our stay a day early, once again Debra made sure we were refunded for that nights stay! Our deposit was returned at check out, we will definitely be coming back!

Was a great experience. Only had to put a $50 cash deposit down and the staff was very willing to help. They're very polite.

The amenities are great, and the hotel is located in a quiet area with easy access to Colorado Springs Airport. They also offer free breakfast from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. It's affordable, too.

Convenient location near Peterson SFB and cycling trails. Not new but well maintained in a frugal manner. The only problem I experienced was my key card not working on exterior doors - extra walking around to get in. Not convenient if you wish to go to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo which is clear across town. Also if heading Denver the I-25 is also near across town.

I liked the price,and location. I didn't like a woman coming up to me in the parking lot begging for money. That is why I said leaning towards uncomfortable.

Not a good area. All concrete. No elevator. Felt unsafe.

I liked the location because of its proximity to good food, gas stations & major roads, so travel to and from the Travelodge was very convenient!

Very well kept little hotel, staff is super friendly. Parking is ok. The only thing that we did not like much was the amount of people not related to the hotel hanging out very near the parking lot.

Very disappointing! The pictures and description of this Travelodge is misleading and false. The establishment is run down, the hall has a musky smell with the rooms being the same. The room was dingy, dirty and the TV was going in and out. The walls are thin and carpet is unclean. We didn’t want to sit on the bed. We left and checked out within 2 hours because we felt unsafe.

My stay was very nice I was there for my little brother funeral and the location from the airport and everywhere we needed to go was great. Really polite and friendly staff

I’ve really enjoyed my stay at this hotel the staff is amazing. Very accommodating and friendly.. The breakfast here was better then most mid range hotels with make your own waffles and biscuits and gravy ,that was a nice added feature a hot breakfast. The only down fall was the breakfast room was on the 2nd floor and no elevator, but staff will bring your breakfast request down to you if you can’t do stairs. Over all a very nice stay!

It was a really wonderful, and cool experience. The rooms felt like home, and to wake up and to go to the breakfast Dining, I mean the waffle were amazing!!!😁 And thank you to the staff Ms. Leticia for your wonderful hospitality making me and my wife feel welcomed.

The room was nice sized and queen bed comfortable but no ice bucket nor could you get an extra wash cloth after hours. You have to go to front desk to get iron and board and they over charged what Expedia had quoted me by $180. Breakfast offerings left a lot to be desired. Will pay more and go back to Holiday Inn Express

Staff was very friendly. The room was clean but old. Only one tv worked the other only had one channel. Breakfast consisted of fruit, boiled eggs, 2 choices of cereal, yogurt, biscuits and gravy and make your own waffles. Good value for the price - get what you pay for.

The only thing that we liked about the property was the convenient location. & it was a fair price after using our Expedia $s against the cost. The advertised & offered breakfast was extremely disappointing. Total selections included coffee only, fruit juices on tap, bananas, 2 choices of dry cereal & waffles. Where is the tea, toast & ???? We could find a much better & appetizing assortment of items at the gas station that is just a few yards from their front entrance. We’d suggest that they just scrap the whole thing. I always check that we haven’t dropped anything on the floor before leaving. Disgusted to find dirty socks & garbage under the dust ruffles of the beds. The beds sit atop platforms so there is only a 6” - 8” depth under the mattress, hidden by the dust ruffle. Obviously the maids are not vacuuming anywhere near the bed bases. How disgusting! What does is say about the rest of the cleaning?

Thai Restraunt in the same parking lot . Room was clean . Breakfast was very clean & everything looks good.

When I arrived my towels were stained and torn. The room had a musty smell. Low water pressure. The carpet was not properly laid down. The sheet on the bed had holes in them. The staff was nice. They cooked the same breakfast for most days. The hotel did smell like cigarettes.

The hotel was dirty. The breakfast attendant used his bare hands to scoop ice out of the bowl that was holding hard boiled eggs then he placed the ice into the milk jug. Never again will we stay here.
