Super 8 by Wyndham Colorado Springs Airport

Very run down…Broken windows in room and hallways…Hole in bathroom door..

Empty shampoo bottles were on the bath floor upon check in. The ice machine was broken. No remote for the tv. No wash clothes or hand towels at check in. No breakfast or 24 hour desk staff as listed in the guest directory. No room phone and bathroom has hole in wall where fan was located. Lamp fixture had no bulb or shade.

I generally don't give bad reviews if they make an effort to keep the location up. Upon entering you were greeted with broken glass on the entrance door. (Also more broken glass on an exit door!) Missing 2 lamp shades in the room. Dirty carpet, holes in the bedspread. Mold on the ceiling above the sink. Super 8 used to be my go to for price and value. The last few i have visited have all been nearly the similar experience. Corporate wake up!

There were blood stains in the hallways busted out side doors with caution tape. Room was a mess and disgusting, all electronics were gutted in the room no towels over priced full of drug addicts that live there. Party central on the weekend while I was there they were shooting fireworks out of the parking lot and drugs everywhere. Would love my money back and left a day early not worth the danger. Will never recommend or go back should be shut down.

It was my first time visiting Colorado and I was absolutely appalled that this hotel would even be an option. There were literal bullet holes in the glass doors traveling from outside to inside on both the front and side entrances/exits. There was trash scattered everywhere, homeless people, loitering all over the premises, and not to mention the front desk woman was absolutely rude and uninviting. I know that I’m not very good at traveling or picking places last minute, but bullet holes?

Filthy hallway carpeting. Bullet hole in exit door. Soap not provided. Small towels and washcloth not provided. Bed sheet had burned holes in it.

There was no breakfast available. The carpets were very dirty. The front desk didn't always have a person there. The exterior door at the end of the hall was literally off its hinges and just leaning against the wall. The deadbolt on our room didn't work at all. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable, but sheets and extremely thin bedspread were stained.

First of all, the very large front door was hanging off the hinge as a greeting to guests. But we ignored that. We went in and it felt like there was NO AC on in the entire building!! Not okay for summer travels! Then, the clerk told us we were on the top floor (only 2 floors in entire hotel) but there were no elevators! We both had 2 pieces of luggage each which were both heavy enough! Frustrated, we decided to walk up to our room to see if all of this hassle was worth it. Nope! The door was closed and in a "locked" position, but we could push it open with 2 fingers. We tried it 3 times to make sure we weren\'t dreaming! Needless to say, we marched downstairs and got our money back and had to try and find another hotel last minute!! Do not bother staying here!

Nobody spoke English ice machine ain't work missing patches of floor carpet somebody had already taken a luxurious crap in the toilet no towels. N then second shift came no English still. It was ridiculous

This hotel is disgustingly dirty. Carpets, walls, and surfaces were not clean. Blood and stains on floor. Lampshades missing. Room had only two bath towels, no washcloths, no soap, no shampoo. Hair dryer was fried. Although front desk staff were pleasant, I would never stay here again or recommend. This should not be a Wyndham chain hotel.

Felt unsafe. Had a disgusting experience. Blood stains on carpet and wall. Random nasty stains. The room reeked of cigarettes. Cigarette burn on bed. Dirty bedding. Didn’t last 3 hrs before asking for a refund.

We ended up not staying because of how dirty it was. There was mold and mildew in the bathroom, the sheets were dirty and stained, and a lot of the furniture was broken.

Everything was EXTREMELY dirty. They also mention they have breakfast but all they had was coffee. There was also no soap in the bathrooms.

Very unfortunately, I believe that I was bitten by bedbugs or the like while staying at this property. Had bites immediately after my stay. Thus, I do not recommend utilizing it and would instead stay at another location, if I am staying in that area again.

It was cheap, the hotel was pretty nasty

Do not stay here unless you have no other choice. Stains everywhere on the carpets on the sheets on the blankets cigarette holes on the blankets. Air conditioning did not work. Everything just felt gross.

Filthy hotel top to bottom. Cigerette Burns in carpet and bed sheets. Ripped Bed Sheets. 1 pillow per bed, so we had 4 pillow and 6 guests. Manager said they didn't have any more pillows. 1 room was cleaned during our stay, other room was not. Had to go to office for towels each day. Pot was being smoked in hotel openly. Side doors were not closed and locked, emergency alarms were complete disabled. no contenental breakfast provided like advertised. no phone in room what so ever. No Housekeeping, No Mini Fridge, No Micrwave, No Laundry Facilities, all of these things were advertised, and none were provided. Thouroughly discusted with the Stay.

Worst hotel I ever stayed at. Stained carpet, toilet seat with spots of no paint on it . pillow cases on inside out. Bedspread looks gross. curtains have holes. Sheets were clean, AC worked it was 1230am. I was tired from delayed flights all day.

This hotel is extremely run-down, as of August 2024. The carpets were filthy, both in the hall and in the room. The entire floor in the room was sticky -- I wouldn't walk on the floor without shoes on, my feet stuck to the floor. The blankets were threadbare and had cigarette burn holes. The toilet seat was completely worn out and disgusting.

Usually I love Super 8, but this one is disappointing. A/C on full blows cool (not cold) air. I’m roasting; it’s gotta be 80 F in here. Have the WiFi password, but still can’t get in.

There was nothing to like about this room, first i go to ever my room with my provided key card and it don't work, no worries because the lock itself did not work from the outside, you literally did not need to have a key to gain entry into the room, just depress the handle and voila your in, then upon entering the room there's a hole that was clearly punched through the bathroom door, and the artwork on the walls were all full of obscene tweaker graffiti. I still have yet to get my security deposit back, even though i called immediately that night after getting into the room, and i was told the security deposit was $100 but was charged $120. I would honestly like a partial refund for this entire trip this night because this was very unsafe, and nothing but a stressful event in my life. Craziness that this place sees it as okay to even recycle this room out let alone at full price.

This Motel has a lot of issues. The entire Motel Wreaked of pot smoke! It was overwhelming! Our rooms TV was shattered so they moved us to another room. That room did not have a mini-Fridge or a microwave, the Heat and Air did not work, only the fan and it was quite loud. They were supposed to provide breakfast, and you had to walk to the next-door Hotel for that and they were not adequate for that amount of people they needed to feed. Not a great experience.

The card never worked to open the door. A front desk person had to come open my door with their key each time I needed in. The hall A/C unit was on the outside wall by my bed and was very loud for my entire stay. Not all pillows had pillow cases when I got the room. The shower knob was falling off. When the front desk staff was asked to get the access issue with the door lock fixed nothing was done.

I waited for 25 minutes to check in because no one was at the desk. The room was in dreadful condition. Sheets were stained, torn and cigarette burned. The room smelled strongly like cigarette smoke even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The carpets were stained. The lamp shades torn. Supposed to be a continental breakfast. That was coffee with no creamer, and a cup of yogurt with no spoons. The second morning the yogurt was gone by 8:00. My room key didn't work if I left the room (I had to get a new one 5 times). AND, there is no wifi at the property. You have to walk across a double parking lot to use wifi at a sister property

From the moment we got here we knew it was budget, and that was ok, but it couldn’t deliver on most basic motel needs. I booked 2 rooms, and both were in the same condition: no air conditioning, no working tv, no towels, a shower curtain that was too far away from the tub to actually be a shower curtain, and two throw pillows on the king beds. To cool the room in 90° heat we opened a window that had no screen on it on the top floor, and crack our door to get a cross breeze. I think I slept maybe 1.5 hours? The freeway was too loud since the air conditioning was out and the window was open. Just don’t book here. Sleep in your car, that would be more restful.

This property was awful. Room did not match amenities advertised. Huge leak dripping in hallway. No lampshades on bulbs in room. AC did not work. No breakfast even though was advertised. Only one pillow per double bed.

NO REMOTE FOR TV, STAFF COULDN'T HELP RUG BATHROOM DIRTY WINDOW WIDE OPEN NO SCREEN MISSING A PILLOW AND TOWELS MICROWAVE WAS NASTY WITH FOOD EXPLODED IN IT

I am by no means a hotel snob. This is the worst hotel in which I have ever stayed. On the first night of our four-night stay the reservations clerk (there was no manager on duty) told us that she could do nothing about us having a toilet that didn't work. They could not transfer us to another room because they were full and did not know where the motel's one plunger was. The clerk (Nia) brought us a plunger 1 1/2 hours after we reported the problem. She had earlier offered us the use of the restroom in the hall, but warned me that people who are homeless are often in the building at night. The staff did nothing. The staff did nothing else. I had to plunge the toilet. The lack of caring on the part of the clerk was at a level that I had never seen in a motel before. Her lack of care was disappointing and insulting. Her attitude said that she did not care if we had a working toilet during our stay. it was not as if the TV was not working; this was the toilet. Also, we had to check in at the Days Inn across the parking lot. However, no one there could do anything about our toilet. I don't disagree with anything that I've read in the other Terrible reviews. I will be disputing this charge with my credit card company, contacting the owner of this property, contacting Super 8, contacting Hotels.com, and contacting the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (see 6 CCR 1010-14, 5.1, Excreta and Liquid Waste Disposal).

The front desk was unatended so the reservation was not honored with no refund

The AC doesn't work neither does the microwave. I had to get my key card redone every time I left. But I'd have to wait for someone to come to the front desk from across the street at Days inn, I was staying at super 8. They split staff between both places.

I loved my stay! Wonderful service! The staff was very kind and even helped me find a phone charger when my phone ran out of battery!

Worst experience ever with a hotel! Arrived and waited for 1 hour to check in because no one was at the front desk. When they did return after many of us calling corporate the employees were unapologetic for making us wait that long. they would have never even showed up if it wasn’t for us walking over to the other hotel. When I finally got into my room it was stinky, had blood everywhere on the floor, infested with ants, beds were not washed, and the room was really beat up! Stay away from this hotel at all costs!! Super nasty and awful service!!!

The keys to the room had to be Re-Magni zed all the time! So annoying and SUPER inconvenient! The carpet in the room was disgusting and filthy dirty. Please replace them. The staff are OVERWORKED and have to work 2- properties, Days Inn and Motel 8 on the same lot. Absentee Owners!! I will Never stay at a Motel 8 EVER!

This property has nice staff, however, it had no available towels to take showers at one point, and we had to have our cards rekeyed Everytime we came back. It never opened on demand. The carpets were filthy, it didn't have a coffeemaker or a Continental breakfast (as promised in ad!)

The staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Worth every penny!

At first they couldn’t find the reservation. Then they said we canceled. Refused to give a room. Only after we called Expedia to get refund did they tell Expedia that they overbooked and that THEY canceled the reservation. They were rude liars who wanted to deny the room AND keep the money. Scammers. Don’t go near thus property

Horrible room gross door didn’t lock good handle stayed up. We actually moved next door owned by same property was better the staff was nice the whole area felt unsafe lots of homeless wandering around

I’m not only writing a review because of my horrible experience at this property but to also warn any travelers that maybe be traveling with kids. DO NOT book at this place. It is not only dirty but a very unsafe area. Staff is not concerned with customer experience and satisfaction. Not enough towels, pillows, and care for comfort. This epitomizes the meaning of “rat motel.” I hope everyone that reads this post heeds my warning.

Didn’t like the location.

Kinda sketchy area

Sketchy men in and out hotel. Men standing outside hotel asking for a ride. The front desk clerk was helpful with checking on. Afterwards we were unable to find assistance the next day. We had to walk across the street to get help from the hotel next door. Woman stay in the stair way asking for a smoke.

The property needs to be condemned. Two smashed out doors, the screens all pushed out, torn and stained furniture and bedspreads etc, thugs out front smoking dope and listening to loud profanity laced music. It had the air of a ghetto housing project, not like any super 8 I’d ever stayed at. We had to leave early as we didn’t feel safe there but were refused a refund.

When I pulled into parking lot there were police and fire rescue at entrance. As I walked in there was a lady tweeked out in the parking lot half in her car half out with all her belongings spread out on the ground. And a bunch of people tweeked out hanging out outside.

The room and grounds were in disrepair. Duck Tape held the door lock together. The fire alarm was disconnected. They advertise breakfast, no breakfast. Yikes!

The breakfast was cereal and a gallon of milk that was shared by everyone. Old and dirty with the smell of marijuana.

Good Room, Bed Comfy, No wash cloths or hand/bath soap. continental breakfast was out of all at 820. No desk person available for 45 minutes as I waited for checkout

It was very run down.I have stayed at many Super 8 motels & this was such a disappointing one. The beding was so.old -- the sheets & bedspread had holes in all of it -- the drapes also.Towels were paper thin & very old The breakfast was the worst I've ever had. A package of small muffins --1 kind of dry cereal & the milk sitting out on the counter -no refrigerated-- no fruit or juice any day. The last day they did have small cups of yogurt with thr muffins but then no cereal. The coffee was made & in a thermos but it was cold. There was a microwave to reheat it. All in all there was really nothing there. I had a handicap room ? with only a grab bar near the toliet -- none in the tub -- very dangerous getting in the shower. I asked for a seat to sit on while showering & they did get one from the motel across the way but it was still very dangerous trying to get in & out of the shower. The water supply was switched so the hot was the cold but they did tell me so it wasn't a surprise. Something was wrong with the TV so you could never turn it off only the sound but of course the picture made the room impossible to darken. They only cleaned my room 1 day & only after I asked. The man who checked me in the first day was very nice but I only saw him that day. I have never been so disappointed in a motel like there but I flew in --had no car -- no way to get to another motel so I endured my stay but never stay there again & will warn others

I’ve stayed at this hotel before this time the room smelled like a smoking room and the room only had one pillow on the bed. The add says they have breakfast I asked them about it when I checked in because the last time I stayed there they had no breakfast. So when I asked this time I was told it was at the hotel across the parking lot since they are both owned by the same person or company so I went to The days inn across the parking lot and all they had was coffee all super8 motels have breakfast and this place doesn’t so the advertising should be changed if they want to be that cheap or lazy

There is no coffeemaker or microwaves in rooms; breakfast was not provided (nor was coffee). Had to have key card reset every day; lots outside had old furniture and mattresses. Was provided one bottle of shampoo (no soap), and though housekeeping never cleaned my room they came in one day and took my towels and didn’t replace them leaving me having to search someone down at 6am so I could take a shower. Definitely do not recommend.
