This is a great property right on the river, beautiful rooms very basic blackface but that's OK because service is great and it's right across the street from the Hot Springs and they give you a discount and towels. I love this place.

Awesome little spot close to everything and directly across from Old Town Hot Springs. Bus stop was very close if you don’t want to walk but most everything we wanted to do was close enough to walk. Rooms were clean and comfortable - pet friendly was a great plus and a reasonable pet fee is always appreciated ($25 / night) Will gladly stay at rabbit ears again anytime we come up to steamboat.

Everything was perfect for my 2 day ski trip to Steamboat. Was solo so made it easier. Bus was right out front and took me to base of mountain. A small walk from bus stop across the street and I was back in room. Would stay here again!

Have stayed here before & it’s been fine for a quick economical stay in Steamboat. This time there was food left in fridge from last occupants, only 2 thin pillows on the bed, & room extremely small. Feel like I paid too much for nothing special.

The sheets had speckles of dirt on them and I was not confident the blankets provided were clean. We were only there for a night so we just dealt with it but I would have said something if we were there another day. Given the accommodations I thought our night was very over priced. I did like the bathroom and shower pressure for what it's worth. Free parking is nice as well.

My husband and I stayed one night here and loved the proximity to downtown Steamboat. Loved the convenience of Old Town Hot Springs discount tickets offered to us at check in ($24 rather than $29) and located across the street from the hotel. The bathrooms were updated and the room was spacious and clean with a king bed. My only complaint would be the carpet. They should update with laminate flooring. The carpets were heavily stained and gross to walk bare footed on. The front desk service was excellent, check in was a breeze and we would definitely stay there again.

Rabbit Ears Motel is a Steamboat Springs Icon. We have been going to Steamboat for decades and decided to try out the motel. We were not disappointed. The room was nicely appointed and very clean; the staff was friendly and helpful. It was quite nice to be able to walk to downtown. All in all, a very nice experience.

The property is very clean and the beds/pillows are great. If you just need a place to sleep, Rabbit Ears is perfect!! Nothing fancy, but super clean and excellent maintenance, so while it is an old "motel" it doesn't give you that creepy vibe. The staff is also really friendly.

We loved our stay here! The furniture is a little dated but the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was updated, and the location was perfect - walkable to everything! Our terrace overlooked the river, which was peaceful.

We got lucky and had a room on the lower level of the "back building". Our room had a sliding door that opened to a small deck overlooking the river. I've stayed in a lot of hotels all over the State, but this was the best exterior experience I've had. The bathroom fixtures were new and the bedding was very comfortable. Excellent experience.

Honestly, the worst hotel mattress I've ever slept on. Likely 20 years old. Thin. You can feel the springs. Completely broken down. Also, it's time to update the ancient AC units. There is no fan "auto" option, so you have to listen the loud fan continuously. Otherwise, the hotel is reasonably updated.

I really want to like this motel, but our last stay there was a little odd. The room itself was mostly good. We had a river view and a little outdoor porch. One could tell it was a pet room because of the torn fabric on some of the furniture. That was not really a big deal to us. However, one night the latch/safety lock on the inside somehow locked when we closed the door. The younger workers at the front desk did not seem to want to be bothered with helping us get back into the room, but alas, they did pull out some kind of special tool to open the lock.As promising as this sounds, they did not seem to know how to use the special tool because they spent 15-20 minutes trying to comprehend the directions After coming up to the room and fiddling with the lock tool for about 20 minutes, the dude finally just kicked the door in and walked away without saying very much of anything. For the remainder of our stay we had this broken chunk of wood with exposed nails at the front door. All and all, it's not a bad motel, we just had a weird experience.

The stay was fine and clean and comfy However the late night front desk guy decided he was going to make his own laws about service animals demanding I show my paper work for him. ADA law states otherwise. Really uncomfortable situation considering my condition is very private.

We stayed at The Rabbit Ears Motel only for one night for a tennis tournament on a Friday night into Saturday morning. The experience was wonderful! The staff that checked us in was very friendly and helpful as we needed directions to the tennis courts in town. There was a continental breakfast the next morning that was nice to have available to save time to get to the tournament! The room was very clean and had a hair dryer and ironing board and iron, as well as shampoo, conditioner and body cream. Checking out was fast and seamless. I would recommend this motel as it was a great experience! I wish we would have had a few more nights there but the tournament was only one day and we had to get back to the grindstone!! Thanks for everything!!!

The receptionist was so kind and helpful. I’d just broken my ankle and she made sure I was on the first floor, opened doors to get to my room, brought me a bunch of extra pillows to elevate my leg, and gave me large trash bags and duct tape to cover my splint so I could shower. Couldn’t have asked for more kind and compassionate service.

The hotel is great, right downtown close to food and across from a hot spring! Right on the river by a park so great access to walks for the dog too!! Breakfast was simple, but it was nice that it was included and open early so I could get to the mountain bright and early!

Amazing hotel in walking distance of many restaurants and even hot springs across the street. Also beautiful setting located on river flowing through Steamboat Springs. Staff is super friendly and professional. My wife and I enjoyed the morning breakfast that they offered. We came to ski a few days and could catch a bus to ski area out front of the hotel every 15 min.

This is a great motel to stay at. The room we had was spacious and very clean. The location of the motel is another plus. It's right across the street from the Old Town Hot Springs (which they have discounted rates) and right next to 3rd Street in case you are going to Strawberry Hot Springs. Besides easy access to the Hot Springs, it is in downtown Steamboat Springs, so everything is within walking distance. As I mentioned, the room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The buildings and grounds are well maintained. We will definitely be staying there again next year when we visit Strawberry Hot Springs.

Everything was perfect for my 2 day ski trip to Steamboat. Was solo so made it easier. Bus was right out front and took me to base of mountain. A small walk from bus stop across the street and I was back in room. Would stay here again!

So, this IS a motel thats been here for decades,but beds were comfy..had fridge,microwave,sm coffee pot,updated BR/shower. Location was the best! Across from hot spring! Pricey tho,as all hotels here are. Breakfast just cold stuff..disappointing for price!

One thing that all winter guests would appreciate is for each room to have a small humidifier tucked in closet. All Colorado ski towns are extremely dry after dark in the winter. We loved how clean and tidy our room was, probably remodeled in 2024. Great to have town bus stop right out front to get to slopes free of course. Respectably continental breakfast. Nice dorm beds too. View of river from out balcony!

The front desk people were very friendly and helpful with a lot of information. They offered discount passes for the hot springs directly across the street which was greatly appreciated. The privately owned motel - albeit older - was clean and comfortable. Actually very quiet and so very convenient for walking to shopping and restaurants. Only negative comment to be made was the very minimal breakfast options the motel offers their guests. Perhaps a muffin or even better cold cereal choices. Coffee was good tho. Would definitely stay again.

It is a very nice hotel, i love the old signage/logo, for an older hotel its been updated. Some of the rooms back up to the river for a great view. The parking lot is spacious, the location of the hotel is close to downtown, easy walking distance, the Waterpark is right across the street Not a lot of choices at the breakfast
