We stay in Danbury often and this was a nice easy place to stay. The pool heat was not working which was a little disappointing but we found other stuff to do. Would stay here again.

The only issue was the pool was highly chlorinated, it bleached our bathing suits and turned them a lighter color. But the hotel and staff were awesome.

We had a great short weekend stay for my daughter's birthday. We booked this hotel because if the heated indoor pool, so it was a little sad it wasnt as warm as we were expecting, but otherwise, all around great experience.

The front desk staff were not friendly and do not provide accurate information. An older front desk woman did not care when my grandson told her the pool was overheated. She responded to him by telling him”That’s the way it is.” When I approached her, following up on the answer my grandson received from her, she made a face as though I was disturbing her from her computer, picked up the walkie-talkie and ushered someone from maintenance to check it out. He told me he could not tinker with the thermostat but would open the back door. The deck was as hot and humid as a sauna. The food prep ladies were helpful and restocked food before they ran out. I have never stayed at a hotel that did not refresh rooms and provide a change of bedding. Our stay was for 7 days, even my grandson said that the other place (The Hyatt) was way better and nicer looking. He is 10 years old. They kids pointed out 3 spiders, the pull out is old, not cushioned and one sheet and an old heavier blanket is provided inside of sliding door closet encased in a large plastic zipped bag that I had to search for. The fitness center flooring is moldy and the scale is old and inaccurate. The room entry door is too heavy and the bottoms are dangerously lose as I’d the molding around the frame of the wall. We were in room 110. The refrigerator did not cool well and the freezer would constantly make and drop ice cubes with no lever to shut off. Marriott allows it name to be used in this dilapidated YMCA?

Ad said there would be a fireplace and 2 regular bathrooms. There was no fireplace a handicap 2nd bathroom. The room was not clean and the floor had clearly not been vacuumed. The furniture in the room was dated and in very poor condition. Greatful for the clean linens and towels, but that is about the only clean things in the room. The pool was over chlorinated and the condition/cleanliness of the area around the pool was questionable at best.

Stayed one night in two bedroom suite. Staff were very pleasant. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Great option when children need their own space. Also great to have kitchen area with younger children so you have a refrigerator for milk/formula and kitchen sink and microwave. There was a small pool that we did not try out since we checked in late. A little pricey for an overnight get away just to get away but would definitely stay again if I need to break up a trip to avoid a long car ride with kids.

This is a great place with lots to appreciate as you spend the night or extended time here. Upbeat, homey, attractive, spacious condo-like room with bed nook fits the bill. Kitchen/dining area has all appliances, cookware and coffee service, sweet double-wide vanity in bath area with large tub/shower with abundant hot water, living area with large spacious desk overlooking large window with natural light, large comfortable sofa bed with portable table. Bedroom nook has super comfortable bed and pillows, layered bedding for warmth as needed, side tables for each side with USB ports and nice, easy to use lighting, pretty curtains with black-out liners that really work. Wall thermostat works great and heating is relatively quiet. Some slight traffic noise from adjacent highway, but faded away with our deep sleep. In general, the lay-out and decor is so well planned and made us feel cared for. We did not use heated indoor pool, but it looked awesome. Hallways are clean and well lit, feels extremely safe with double locks on door. Staff welcoming and friendly. Free breakfast was OK, scrambled eggs on the too dry side, but gluten-free blueberry muffins (pre-packaged) and organic cage-free hard boiled eggs are a nice plus in this buffet that had other average offerings. This eating area is spacious, clean, staffed by cheerful, helpful staff. We will definitely stay here agin when visiting nearby friends. Only suggestion is to label those liquids dispensed in the tub.

The hotel is located in a prime spot with many amenities a dplace close by. The hotel was clean, well maintained and the staff was readily, attentive and helpful. I plan to stay there again in the future.

Altogether, mediocre in every way. The hotel has a slight odor, maybe more than slight, and the floors are so thin you could hear the people walking around above you. Water pressure is non-existent and I believe this was a conscious decision by management. Not a terrible stay, but not a great one by a long shot either.

My friends and I arrived a little after 3pm and were told there were no rooms ready, that housekeeping was behind schedule and check in time was 4pm. Ok, i understand standard check in time but how can you be sold out in this small town with not much going on? It was not like I was trying to check in at noon. The front desk clerk did not go out of her way to be welcoming or offer us anything while we waited in the lobby even though I told her we had an event to go to. She half a** tried to call housekeeping to hurry them up. Finally we were able to check in at 3:50 but this was after she completely disappeared from the front desk area. We left for our event and upon returning later at night the same clerk did not hold the door open for us, though I did for her! Also this is when the roaches made their appearance in our room. My friends saw a sizable one in the bathroom and there was a small one doing laps around the kitchen sink. Another small one which I though i had drowned kept coming back and climbing the faucet handle. When we left the next morning at 7am there were two clerks at the front desk and neither one of them even looked up at me when i was standing there waiting to hand them my keys, they were more concerned with the shift change. Finally the one took my keys. To summarize, the Residence Inn Danbury needs to do better in terms of customer service and cleanliness! This is definitely not in line with what one would expect from the Marriott brand

Very nice, clean, well maintained and very friendly staff lots of little touches that you just don’t find anymore like towel animals on the bed, a call after check-in to make sure everything was to our liking, and little necessities were provided in room. Definitely will be back.

The front desk staff were not friendly and do not provide accurate information. An older front desk woman did not care when my grandson told her the pool was overheated. She responded to him by telling him”That’s the way it is.” When I approached her, following up on the answer my grandson received from her, she made a face as though I was disturbing her from her computer, picked up the walkie-talkie and ushered someone from maintenance to check it out. He told me he could not tinker with the thermostat but would open the back door. The deck was as hot and humid as a sauna. The food prep ladies were helpful and restocked food before they ran out. I have never stayed at a hotel that did not refresh rooms and provide a change of bedding. Our stay was for 7 days, even my grandson said that the other place (The Hyatt) was way better and nicer looking. He is 10 years old. They kids pointed out 3 spiders, the pull out is old, not cushioned and one sheet and an old heavier blanket is provided inside of sliding door closet encased in a large plastic zipped bag that I had to search for. The fitness center flooring is moldy and the scale is old and inaccurate. The room entry door is too heavy and the bottoms are dangerously lose as I’d the molding around the frame of the wall. We were in room 110. The refrigerator did not cool well and the freezer would constantly make and drop ice cubes with no lever to shut off. Marriott allows it name to be used in this dilapidated YMCA?

We had some issue checking in no fault of the hotel. Bri Y. was so helpful and patient. We was able to get checked in and the welcome was energetic and warm. She answered all of our questions and let us know some fun things to do while we was there.

My friends and I arrived a little after 3pm and were told there were no rooms ready, that housekeeping was behind schedule and check in time was 4pm. Ok, i understand standard check in time but how can you be sold out in this small town with not much going on? It was not like I was trying to check in at noon. The front desk clerk did not go out of her way to be welcoming or offer us anything while we waited in the lobby even though I told her we had an event to go to. She half a** tried to call housekeeping to hurry them up. Finally we were able to check in at 3:50 but this was after she completely disappeared from the front desk area. We left for our event and upon returning later at night the same clerk did not hold the door open for us, though I did for her! Also this is when the roaches made their appearance in our room. My friends saw a sizable one in the bathroom and there was a small one doing laps around the kitchen sink. Another small one which I though i had drowned kept coming back and climbing the faucet handle. When we left the next morning at 7am there were two clerks at the front desk and neither one of them even looked up at me when i was standing there waiting to hand them my keys, they were more concerned with the shift change. Finally the one took my keys. To summarize, the Residence Inn Danbury needs to do better in terms of customer service and cleanliness! This is definitely not in line with what one would expect from the Marriott brand

Very nice, clean, well maintained and very friendly staff lots of little touches that you just don’t find anymore like towel animals on the bed, a call after check-in to make sure everything was to our liking, and little necessities were provided in room. Definitely will be back.

We stopped for an overnight on a road trip to Maine & reserved the room through Expedia when we were just minutes away. The Residence Inn in Danbury was exactly what we needed—a clean comfortable room for the night right off the Interstate with breakfast included. As a bonus, there’s a steak house right next door, so we could walk to dinner (which was also what we needed—a salad bar and reasonably priced entrees).

Quick checking in and checking out. Love that it is no smoking hotel. Great selection for complementary breakfast. Quiet location, but air conditioner is very noisy plus can't lower the temperature. Bathroom was clean and clean towels. Exterior and interior needs some updating. Wish they could have safe in the closet.

Staff was great. Brianna was exceptionally helpful when we checked in. Breakfasts were delicious and had several choices. The last 2 days were very noisy at night due to a bunch of youth hockey team members playing hockey in the hallways. Parents neglected to correct them.. Staff tried their best but their requests were often ignored. We love staying here so it was just a "bump" in an otherwise great stay.
